"Baji-kun!" You smiled, watching the black haired teen.
Scowl on his face, hands in his jacket pockets, he juts his chin out, "So? The hell do you want [y/n]-kun?"
Your smile turned into a smirk that made him further pissed.
"I'll save us both some time and skip the chase. Baji-kun, I know why you went to Valhalla."
Baji's eyes widened then narrowed, scoffing, "The fuck you trying to say?! I left for Kazutora. Besides what does my life have anything to do with you?!"
You chuckled and watched a vein pop up on the side of his face, "Here, just listen, hm? You can do that much for me, huh?"
He shook his head violently, his beautiful black hair swishing with the movement, "Tsk, fine. Make it quick."
"I knew you would be super accommodating."
"Pfft- I still don't know what you're talking about, but since we were childhood neighbors, I'll at least hear you out."
Your smile turned more genuine at the admission.
"You're brave, Baji-kun."
The teen looked back to you quickly, cheeks reddening, "Wha-"
"Listen," You said straightly, "Kazutora's unstable, Kisaki is manipulating him. His end goal is to kill the both of you."
Baji's eyes widened, "How the hell do you think that?!" He hissed through his teeth.
You didn't smile, setting jokes and teasing aside, "Kisaki is everyone's enemy, Baji. He's my enemy, he's your enemy. His end goal is to control Mikey," You looked at your old friend through your lashes, "Kisaki isn't just a delinquent, he's aiming to be at the top of the criminal world."
Baji looked furious, "I don't understand, how do you know that?!"
"Well," You said in all seriousness, "Become a willing piece on my own chest board and I'll tell you."
Baji's face reddened, but this time from fury, "I'm no ones' pawn, [y/n]!" He grit through his teeth.
Victory filled you. If Baji didn't believe you, or if he wasn't at least interested he wouldn't react at all. You remembered him to be incredibly hard to read.
"You have my number, Baji-kun. I hope you call, for everyone's sake..." You paused, "Especially, your Okaa-san."
Baji's anger hadn't dissipated, reaching new heights. He turns swiftly and stalks away.
"Hey, Baji-kun!" You shout, Baji stopping, but hadn't turned, "Stupid people and smoke reach high places." You chuckled. He hadn't moved and you sighed at how dumb he could be, "I called you an air head, Baka Baji!"
He scoffs again and continues forward. You wave enthusiastically at his back, "Bye bye!"
You stare at the top of the stairs he took with a smirk. You knew people like Baji, they think they could take on the world without help. You nod to yourself and flip open your phone.
"Mah, Inu! The bait's been set. He's under incredible pressure now, he'll call."
The man on the other side hmmed, "That's good. We're done on our side."
"How'd it go? Did you have to beat him?"
You heard Inui sigh, "No, it was easy. I just told him you needed a favor. He was quick to agree to anything."
You laughed softly, your reputation was a blessing at getting what you wanted from grunts.
"Good, tell Koko to set aside funds for Yako-san as a thank you for such swift cooperation. Leave a note that even though he left the Black Dragon's to pursue his goals, his contribution will not be overlooked."
