Takemichi was nervous. Why? Why did he have to be the one to do this? Why couldn't you do this? You were the one who was friends with these people... But Takemichi was obviously a people pleaser or something because he didn't say no. All it took was Mikey asking and he said yes.
Was Takemichi a simp? For Mikey? You said he was... NO! Mikey was just his ridiculously charismatic commander that he looked up to. 'Simp behavior,' He imagined you saying in his mind.
Takemichi shook his head and focused back on the spooky, creepy alleyway he was currently walking down. These were the type of places where people have definitely died in. The places where fights to the death in manga's took place.
"Stop being a coward, Takemichi. Get it together," He sighed. His hands fisted in the pockets of his white bomber jacket Inupi had given him. It had two patches. One on the front that was the red manji symbol and on the back was a black dragon. It had been Inupi's jacket for a long time before he gave it to him. Takemichi was touched, but he definitely did not cry (he did). He had thought Inupi was a scary guy until he got to know him...
He drug his feet forward, feeling like he was about to be executed instead of attend a meeting with his childhood friend. What the hell was with all this stress his life had become now?
He finally reached the other end of the alleyway and it opened up to an abandoned storehouse. There were holes in the roof that illuminated the inside with multiple patches of sunlight. The interior was just as bad, the place littered with metal bins. The levels of disrepair was pretty severe, to the point Takemichi knew if he stepped on some rusty scrap metal he'd die of tetanus in the first ten minutes.
Wow his mind was distracted at the wrong moment because he hadn't even noticed Kakucho until he was within fighting range. Takemichi, of course, nearly jumped out of his skin.
"So, I'm here, Idiot-Michi."
Takemichi looked swiftly to the guy across from him. He was super intimidating. His face was severe and the scar running down it was scary... but this was Kakucho. The friend he had made when they were little kids. It had been so long ago for Takemichi.
"Kaku-chan!" He shouted with a laugh, his face brightening now that he could see the person he was meant to meet up with.
Kaku-chan had sounded disinterested, but he still gave a small grin.
"It's good to see you, Kaku-chan," Takemichi was shocked to know that you had set up this meeting between the two. When planning he had said that Kakucho's name had sounded familiar and after a while Takemichi remembered why.
This was Kaku-chan.
His childhood friend had a massive scar running down his face and it looked like he was blind in one eye [though Takemichi didn't know if that was the case or not], but he looked good all in the same.
"It's good to see you, Kaku-chan," Takemichi smiled. They were enemies, yeah, but they were also old friends. "I heard you were a Heavenly King." He grinned. It really was something to see someone that Takemichi would protect in grade two elementary being in such a high position in a strong gang.
"I heard you were the first division captain of Toman," Kakucho smiled back, it was sharp and angular and Takemichi really thought it suited him more than the goofy smiles in his memories.
He had been a sensitive kid back then who had trouble standing up for himself, but this Kaku-chan looked so strong. Takemichi was glad.
"I am. It looks like we grew up, yet stayed the same," He laughed and Kakucho chuckled along with him, though his tune shifted quickly.
