He had woken up early today, earlier than usual, and had gotten his little sisters ready for school since his mother was already at work. He was sad to say she was hardly ever home and his sisters missed her dearly, but she was still a good mom.
As he got his sister's ready he had the same thought that usually passed his mind every morning as he took care of his sisters in place of his mother. He was going to make it to where his mother didn't have to work that awful job. He was going to be successful doing whatever life threw at him and take care of his mother too.
She worked so hard so that they could survive, he watched as she held her lower back throughout the night. He watched her struggle to lift his sisters in the air. He tucked her into the couch after she fell asleep while playing with her daughters...
His mother was exhausted and Mitsuya wasn't going to let her destroy herself like she was for much longer. That was why he was going to go all in for the gang. The vision you painted for them all, the way they could rule over Tokyo and do it with honor. Mitsuya wanted that. He wanted to be a fashion designer for Toman in that idyllic future. He wanted to keep that promise while living his life with the gang.
He wanted to take care of his family. He wanted to save his mother from the corporate machine. he remembered a time before Luna and Mana, when things were still tough, but still a bit easier. His father had abandoned her after a year, leaving for a woman without a child and leaving his mother to struggle alone.
Mitsuya was quick to learn how to care for himself and in that time his mom met Mana and Luna's father. That loser was successful, he was charming and he made his mother smile. It was in that relationship where Mitsuya understood that he was the only man he could ever trust to take care of his lovely mother.
Luna woke up without complaint, she hugged her brother and left to brush her teeth with a sleepy smile. Luna was always easy to get up in the morning thus making it easier on him.
Mitsuya watched as his youngest sister pouted up at him with her big violet eyes from beneath her fluffy pink blanket.
He was going to do what it took to take care of his family. The gang had to get a stronger hold on their territories first, they had to take down Kisaki and Hanma, then they could speak on the future.
Mana cried a little, her lower lip sucked into her mouth as she wrapped her arms around her brother's neck, "I don't wanna get up." She pouted harder, snuggling into Mitsuya with her weak protests.
Mitsuya chuckled and hugged her back, "You've gotta go to school like a big girl, okay?"
She pouted further, throwing her head back and groaning, not enjoying that he wasn't going to let her go back to sleep.
He smiled, but what a hypocrite he was since he had just called school to inform them that he wasn't attending today. So he just smiled and took his sisters to school, promising to pick them up afterwards. He watched them pass through the doors with their lunchboxes in hand and waves over the shoulder.
The reason he had called off though? He stood outside S.S. Motors and scuffed his shoe to the concrete in the back and waited for Baji to open the door. He had his hands in his vest pockets when the door opened slowly. A head of luscious black hair in the doorway waved him in, "Come on, everyone's still asleep."
Mitsuya entered, leaving his shoes at the back with the row of heels...
The place was the same as the last time he had been here, still tools everywhere, there were two more bikes in the back, but everything still looked the same.
Baji grinned and the two friends clapped hands and pulled into a half hug, they snapped their fingers when they pulled apart.
Mitsuya followed Baji into the living room and saw that there was a vacant couch. He sat there a bit confused. Where was Kazutora?
