"BAJI-KUN DIED! HE DIED PROTECTING HIS FRIENDS!!"
You pulled up and under the train bridge where the Black Dragons usually did their seedy underbelly dealings. Tires stopping on the giant individual BD gang member tag of a western teapot.
"HE WANTED YOU TO FORGIVE KAZUTORA-KUN!"
You swung your leg over the side of your bike as Koko opened the door then popped the trunk to the sleek black, window tinted 04' Toyota Camry.
"HE DID THAT BECAUSE HE LOVED YOU GUYS!"
You approached Inui and took the offered phone from his hand. You gave Yako the go ahead to pull in.
"WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!"
You sighed, arms crossed next to your best friend, "I can't believe that kid's words are getting to me like this."
Inui looked to you with an understanding nod, "Well, he was speaking from the heart." Inui looked down then as rain began to fall outside the underpass.
You all had been driving around long enough that the sun began to set, it had to be about four o'clock by now.
You still hadn't answered your friend, you remembered Mitsuya's tear stained face... You felt guilty.
These teens all thought...
You shook your head.
Mikey was going to kill Kazutora.
They lost their friends, both of them.
But the worst part... You made Mitsuya cry.
Your chest tightened, the guilt bubbled up your throat like vomit. Eyes strained from the stress, breaths coming in short gasps.

Haloed lilac hair in a church. Two little girls crying for their big brother. A mother's anguished tears. The closed casket. Inui bleeding out. The two of you holding bloody hands as you died. Your bodies most likely being minced and thrown into the ocean as fish food.
Resolve washed through you.
"No," you whispered, face blank, frighteningly collected, "This is necessary. This isn't the end of the world. Get it together." You hadn't meant your whisper to sound so dark, but Inui and Koko still stood straighter at the declaration.
You three stood in the dimmed underpass and waited for Yako to arrive.
You didn't need to wait long.
The space was illuminated by twin beams as a lone ambulance pulled into the lot.
The back doors swung open and a drowsy, black haired youth jumped from the truck, stumbling a bit on his feet, along with four others dressed in paramedic jumper uniforms.
One lacky nervously approached, "[y/n]-kun, where do we put him?" Pon, the leader of this cell, asked for further orders, pointing to the kid two others were carrying under the arms.
