He never went into a situation without a back up plan. He always had a back up plan.

And Koko's back up plan was a gun. Thanks to you he knew that Hanma will be there, someone Koko knew he couldn't take on in a fair fight. But, they were Toman, and Toman members were disallowed to use weapons.

Lucky him.

Koko was also ecstatic, with you back from your, obviously, horrific stint in the future, things were back on track. And they had more info as well. It would have sucked if something like getting killed happened.

It had only been a few hours, so Koko wasn't sure if you'd be ready for Christmas night or not so they hand a back up plan for that too, Baji and Kazutora. Though the original plan was for Inupi and him to not help Taiju in the first place, since you swore Mitsuya could take him in a fair fight...

But that was for later, right now, he swaggered through the halls, deck to the nines. Pon and Usagi with him playing rat exterminators.

Pon was the mid leader to the assistants that the three friends shared, vowed to secrecy, the penalty death if broken.

They didn't have to threaten them with it though, since they were reliable underlings.

The two followed like bouncers, looking like twins, one in the ever present face mask.

Koko continued down the halls of the private back rooms. He could hear soft voices as he approached the door, there were a few of them.

Bingo.

"First of all the boss..."

Koko was a fan of flare, being the center of attention came natural when Inupi didn't care for it most times. You said you didn't, but he knew you did.

He stood looming in the doorway, not looking at anyone directly in order to see the room in his wider peripheral vision. Four Toman and a rat.

"What's goin' on?!" He grinned, all teeth, "Smells like a rat in here!"

The traitor's eyes were wide, already sweating, "K-Koko-kun."

There was audible shock throughout the room, "The hell? We're already busted?" and "aw, man".

His grin was gone again as he leaned over one of Taiju's personal assistants, "Our last rat had it bad, you know... couldn't take the heat, so I think he killed himself?"

The implied murder had the worm's eyes strained to the limits.

You knew Kisaki well enough from your stories of the future you came from to just know that he would ask questions about you. This rat would have given them...

"Y--...You got it all wrong, Koko-kun. I was just--" He waved his hands in front of him to create distance, but Koko would kill him for this betrayal to you.

Now Koko wasn't one to care about others, which he didn't really. He was selfish and materialistic by nature... But, you were family. A family he never had, being an "orphan", as in his mom was dead and dad never around, just sending money for expenses every month before Koko stopped accepting his father's pity money and fell into no contact.

So there was a stronger connection forged between you three, more than just strength or money, which he cared a lot about. He was incredibly selfish about you and Inupi.

Which made him question just how Kisaki had broken him in that original future, leading him to hate the guy even more.

Koko watched as you gave chances to people you should hate from your future, like Mikey, who killed you. Yet you didn't. You said they were good before Kisaki, that Kisaki and Hanma were the rotten ones...
