Ekko x dancer reader

Ekko's POV
   I carefully flew around the corner of buildings making sure not to be caught by enforcers. Finally I reached the window of the theater, opening it as quietly as possible and closing it behind me. Stepping onto the cat walk that rimed the top of the viewing area, looking down to look at the stage then at my watch I was right on time. Perfect.

   A moment later the lights dimmed and the spotlights were on. The music started up and the dancers came out, but I kept my eyes peeled for my favorite dancer.

Flashback

   I was on my hoverboard trying to get away from the enforcers. I took a sharp turn and saw a cracked window and immediately went to it climbing through, I watched with a silent chuckle as the enforcers ran by on the ground. "Who are you?" I spun around to see the person who was talking and saw a person standing on the catwalk in what looked like dancer clothes.

   "Who are you?" They asked again "And what are you doing up here?" I mulled it over in my head, it didn't seem like a very good idea to tell them the truth.
"I'm hiding."

"From what?"

"Some people."

"What kind of people, good, bad?"

"Bad."

"Are you bad?"

   "No!" I said sure that you could tell I was offended by my tone.

"Did you do something?"

"You sure ask a lot of questions..."

"Was it a bad thing?"

"No, it was a good thing."

"Well then why can't you tell me?"

   "Cause you're a topsider and you'll call the enforcers." They quirked up their brow
   "What if I promise not to? Plus if it was a good thing why would I?"

   I stared at them for a moment "No offense but I can't really trust you..."

   "Well I could just call the enforcers now..." They said turning to the ladder that I assumed led to people.

   "Wait!" I said, grabbing their arm "I'll tell you." They turned, looking at me with interest "I blew up a shimmer shipment but they probably thought it was mine or they didn't care and just saw a Zaunite in The City of Progress." I said bitterly. They frowned at the last part but over all looked very excited, I guess that was a good thing...

   "So you're like a vigilante?"

   "Yeah I guess. What are you?"

   "I'm a dancer, I'm performing here tonight." I nodded, not sure what to say. "Wanna watch?"

   "What? Why would you want me to watch?"

   "So we could hang out after." As if that was obvious.

   "Why would we do that?"

   "Look who's asking all the questions now, and because you seem nice and I need more friends." I stared at them for a moment. That has to be the stupidest reason for anything anyone has given me for anything, but who cares.

   "Alright I'll watch but don't expect much from the 'friends' department." I told them though it didn't see toeffect them that much.

   "Okay! You stay up here to watch, you'll have a great view then meet me in the alley next to the theater and we can hang out!" I noticed they spoke fast when they were excited; they were also very loud.
   "Okay, but if we're going to be friends don't you think I should know your name?"

   "Oh right, my name is Y/n. What's your's?" Their voice also sounded kinda breathy.

   "Ekko." I told them.

   "Ekko" they repeated, testing it on their tongue "well I'll see you after the show, I hope you like it!" And he had, they glided gracefully across the stage, I never told them that. From that point on I never missed a single performance or going to the alley after.

Flashback over

Today they danced just as beautifully. As I watched them their pace would change as the music changed.
   When they finished instead of going to the alley I carefully made my way to Y/n's new dressing room.

   I quietly knocked, waiting for them to answer which didn't take long. "Ekko you're here!" I don't think they really understand the meaning of quiet. They pulled me inside, closing the door.

As soon as the door was closed they pressed their lips to mine quickly pulling away plopping on the couch pulling me with them. After the performance today I'm so tired." They whined snuggling into my arms "Instead of going out today can we just cuddle and hang out here?"

   "Yeah sure baby, you know I prefer to stay inside anyway." I pulled them closer kissing their forehead.

   "Did you and your firelights do anything interesting today?"

   "No just patrolling, I spent all day looking forward to coming here to watch you." I said, starting to rub circles on their back. They simply giggled.

   "I'm glad you were running from those enforcers that day."

   "I am too, I'm also glad you did't rat me out to them."

   "Oh please I was never going to do that!"

   I chuckled "Yeah I know that no. Now get some rest."

   "Okay goodnight Ekko."
  "NIght my little firelight."
