Jiang Cheng looks away, seeing the alpha's grin make his face even redder. Shit, why is it making him blush? Is it the cold? Well, maybe it's just the cold. Yes, it's the cold.

Xichen chuckles as he watches the expression on the beta's face, 'cute' he thought. His fingers aching to reach for the beta's cheeks, just a little pinch, and maybe that suffice his urge.

But just as the alpha was about to pinch the beta's cheeks, the beta jolted. He eyed a familiar stature of a person just meters away from where they are standing. A smile so wide sprung from his lips causing the alpha to frown. 

What made the beta smile so widely like that? It's making him anxious, and so he traced a look at what he is looking at. 

As if his senses snapped, his eyes twitching irritatedly at the sight of an alpha from the medical department.

"Wen Qing jie!" Jiang Cheng beamed, giggling in the process as he waves to get the other's attention. The alpha female looked his way, smiling back at him as he waves back. 

That ticked off Xichen, a deep frown painting his brows whilst glaring at the female alpha. Sure, he likes seeing the scowling face of the beta, cause he looks cute in it, but seeing him smiling so wide for other alpha, it's making his blood boil. He wants that smile all for him only, not at another alpha!

Jiang Cheng, who has his beaming eyes glanced at the male alpha beside him, smile fading,  "oh, I will bring your jacket back some other time. And uhh... See you around?" He bids, turning back his attention to the other alpha meters away from him.

Xichen feels dejected, his heart shattering right then and there. Did he just get ditched to a female alpha? Either way, he's pretty complacent as he remembers what he just did, he knew the jacket he let him borrow have another use. He internally laughed at his victory. Everyone will know who the beta belongs to.

He smiles sweetly at the beta, ruffling his hair as he nods, "okay, see you around." He bids.

The beta just nods and leaves the alpha's side to where the other alpha is. The smile on Xichen's face disappeared once the beta had his back on him, he watches the beta go his way to the other alpha, throwing daggers of stares at her.

"Uhm... c-can you at least let me process all of this?" Wei Ying stutters, his head is lowered for his cheeks are red, his heart pulsing wild he can't even count. 

Lan Zhan chuckles playfully as he watches the omega all flustered on his seat. "No," he sternly replied, "I've been courting for two weeks, you think I'll wait any longer for you to acknowledge what I feel?" he asked with a pout, leaning closer to the omega, enough to fan Wei Ying's ear with his breathing. 

The cold isn't even the reason why he shivers, it's the alpha's voice that's so close to his ear that is making his hair stand from his skin. His scaly tail suddenly perks out from behind him.

Lan Zhan watched in amusement at the sudden appearance of the omega's beautiful shining red-scaled tail, he badly wants to touch it, feel the scales between his fingers, but he respects his omega. He averted his gaze to prevent himself from getting tempted and focused his attention on wooing the omega. 

He smirked, his tail appearing just means the omega's too flustered to even control his body in transforming.  "Come on, Wei Ying. Look at me," the alpha provokes, a smug smile on his face as he tilted his head to watch the omega in awe. 

"Uh... I... well..." he stutters, "J-just let me breathe for a-a s-second... hm?" he pleaded, finally sinking down on his seat, head buried on his crossed arms.

Lan Zhan chortles once again, copying the omega but his face is facing the other. 

He can feel it, Wei Ying can feel it. The stares from the alpha are making him more aware of him. His nerves can't even calm down and his brain is scattered, unable to think right. He just wants to evaporate and disappear from here or even let the floor eat him whole just to escape this unforeseen events.

There's a long silence, Lan Zhan let the omega gather his thoughts as he watches him heave sigh after sigh, "...I'll wait," he suddenly mutters making the omega's ear perk up. "...Whenever you like, I'll wait. But I won't stop courting you..." he paused, reaching to tuck away Wei Ying's hair to reveal half of his face. 

"...expect more of this," he added still eyeing him with fondness. 

Wei Ying side glanced at the alpha, redness not leaving his face. He slowly nods as an answer, his tail swinging back and forth. His inner omega loves it and eventually slowly processing everything.

Lan Zhan smiled and lifts his head up, "Shall we finish our project?" he asked.

The omega copies the alpha and lifts his head, face still heated but a little less flustered, "Mn," he answers timidly, smiling back regardless. 

"And maybe an official courting dinner, later?" Lan Zhan added.

Wei Ying shyly nods, but his tail tells his excitement. Lan Zhan chuckles, well, he'll pretend he didn't see his tail swinging keenly.

"Is your brother an alpha?" Wen Qing suddenly asked out of nowhere as they head to their last subject.

Yanli's brows furrowed, her head turning to look at the female alpha beside her, she's confused as to why did her friend suddenly asked. "He's a beta, why'd you ask?"

Wen Qing tilted her head, equally confused.  A while ago when she bumped into Jiang Cheng who offered her a coffee she caught a strong scent of an alpha from the latter and a hint of sweetness; something like an omega's scent. She even thought he was mingling with omegas, so close that it left on him. She's sure that she smelt them from him, there's no way she'd mistake it. Being a medical student and a dog, having a keen smell is one of her qualities. But why is the beta sporting a dominant alpha's scent? and an omega's as well?

A/N: HAHHAHHAHA my vocabulary is as limited asf. I can't even find the right words to put. lols. Anyways, I hope you're not confused with how minimal my brain is. 

Fun fact: Scents can only remain to another when the other uses clothing of the other, or through physical contact; kissing, hugging, cuddling, sex.
