After the nurse left, the atmosphere returned to silence. The heated atmosphere they had a while ago disappeared as it was replaced with awkwardness once again. Their lower that are still in their recovery are making themselves too embarrassed to look at each other sides. 

But still, Lan Zhan approached the bed after shutting the door and sat on the chair he was sitting before. He lowers his head, the confidence he had the past few weeks he's courting the latter and now it's as if all melted down, making him all flustered just because of a kiss. "...I'm sorry," Lan Zhan suddenly uttered after a long silence. 

Wei Ying is puzzled, his head goes haywire as his overthinking brain started succumbing his thoughts once again, his heart racing in anxiety. Why? Why is he saying sorry? Does he not like it? Is he regretting what happened? Then over and over, pheromone of distress leaving his scent glands, hands shaking in fear that he disappointed his alpha. His scales are started showing, slowly filling his skin, the sign of failing hold of his human form from his heart clenching.

Lan Zhan is no inconsiderate alpha, he immediately notice the distress from the whiff of pungent burnt vanilla in the room, his head immediately rise darting at the omega who had his fist clenched, he also notice his beautiful scales, as much as he wants to caress and admire all his scales, he knows it's a sign of something he needs to address quick. 

His hands voluntarily moved and pulled the omega into a hug, releasing his calming pheromones and gentle purrs. 

The omega immediately succumb, receiving all the affection that is given to him. He let's out a sigh of contentment, he answers the gentle rumbles of the alpha with the same amount of purring, and he gained control of his human form. 

"I did not say sorry because I hated it," he clarified, "I don't know what idea came in your head, but I'm saying sorry because it's my fault..." he paused, releasing the omega from the embrace and grabbed his hands, cupping them between his. "... I was too rash when I'm supposed to take everything slow and not to frighten you," he explained. 

The omega's jaw dropped in disbelief, is he even real? He wanted it too, and he's willing to do it again right now to prove him that there's nothing to be sorry about. Wei Ying frowns, there's no way he'll accept his sorry! 

Before the alpha can utter another word, Wei Ying cupped his cheeks in a harsh way and forcefully smack their lips. He aggressively pressed them together, biting the alpha's lower lip until it gets swollen almost in the verge of bleeding. He's angry, why would the alpha apologize for something like that? He thought the alpha hates him! Now he just want to ease his anger by biting his lips!

The alpha was dumbstruck, his eyes are wide, shock ad surprised at the sudden attack, but it immediately changed when a teeth bared into his lower lip, causing him to wince in pain followed by a loud hurtful groans to make the omega stop. 

The omega let go after making himself satisfied, releasing all his anger. Then he push the alpha away enough to give them a little space. Wei Ying's pupils turning vertical, a piercing stare that made the alpha shiver a little. "Do you think I'm frightened???" he asked sternly. 

The alpha gulps, well, he doesn't look like it, but now, Lan Zhan is more frighten seeing the omega this mad, "I-I... no?" he answers. 

The omega sighs exasperatedly, sighing in defeat as he rest his head on the alpha's shoulder, "Honestly..." he paused, "I was thinking of doing that with you after you kissed me on the forehead," he added, his anger died down since he can't really get angry at the alpha that long.

Lan Zhan's heart skipped a beat, he too but he settles to his idea of taking it slow. He smiles, he thought he's being to rash to things, but he's happy to know. Still, he's taking this slow, he wants to cherish the omega, shower him with love, and reassures him in every way he can. He cups the omega's nape as he gently rubs his cheeks against Wei Ying's cheek. "I love you," he whispers beside his ears. 

The omega blushed, slowly wrapping his arms around the alpha's waist, "...I love you too..." he answered in a muffled tone since he's hiding his face on the alpha's shoulder. 

Lan Zhan chortles at him.

They stayed that way for minutes, enjoying the warmth and comfort. So when Wei Ying's phone rang , they both jumped in surprise, releasing each other from cuddling. They both laugh when they realized it was just a phone. Wei Ying grabbed the phone and answered the call without looking the caller. 

"A'Xian," he immediately recognize the voice from the other side. 

"Uncle" he answered back. 

"Get ready, you'll be released out of the hospital in the afternoon," the older decades. 

Wei Ying hums and nods though the older can't see him, "Thanks, uncle! and thank you also for paying for the bills," he chirped. 

The older chuckles, "You're always welcome, son. But it's not me who paid for your bill," he replies, making the omega confused and look at the alpha's way, asking with his eyes if he's the one who paid the hospital bills.

The alpha shook his head as an answer, he never have thought about the hospital bill until Fengmian mentioned it awhile ago. 

"Uhh.. who paid the bills, uncle?" he asked curiously. 

The older sighs from the other line, contemplating if he should tell Wei Ying or not. "Uhm well, Ziyuan did," he answers anyway. He don't know what's his wife's purpose of paying his bills, or how did she found out, so she needs to confront her later. But for now, he'll let it pass.

On the other hand, Wei Ying wasn't able to process what he heard. It's too unbelievable to even know that his auntie actually cares about him. Why? After what he did to her few days ago. He's at lost, he doesn't know what to react actually. But his thoughts came back to reality when he older spoke. 

"Anyway, you don't need to worry about your hospital bills and medicine, okay? We're not going bankrupt just for that!" he jokingly said between chuckles. "Just rest for a little bit and you should prepare soon. Tell Mr. Lan to take you home," he says. The older didn't even sound threatening but remembering the interogation awhile ago made Lan Zhan gulp in nervousness. 

"yes, uncle"Wei Ying answered before the call dropped. He looks at the alpha's way, snorting a laugh when he saw him turning pale, "What are you so nervous for? You're just going to take me home!" 

The alpha gulps, eyeing the omega with terrified eyes, "You think so?..." he asked.

Wei Ying laughs then shrugs, "Dunno," he teased making the alpha more terrified.

A/N: yeah well, this update sucks! I'm not on my right head space right now, now I updated a shitty one. Well, I am planning to update until Sunday because surely I'll be busy next week for exams and requirements. I hope you till like it! Thank you for reading.
