Jiang Cheng jolt and his brows furrowed as he cups his bitten scent gland. He and Wei Ying are playing a card game when he felt something tingling from his nape, and he winces which Wei Ying immediately noticed. 

"What happened?" the Wei Ying omega asked when he notice a deep frown on his forehead.

"My alpha's distressed..." he mumbles, rubbing his tingling nape in hopes of soothing the tingles.

Wei Ying's head tilted, he can't understand how the bond works on a bonded couple, but little by little he learns from them. Still, sometimes, he gets envious of them, having no worries about the other being stolen from them, already connected for life, and also now, Cheng was able to feel his alpha's emotions. But then, Wei Ying is still satisfied with what they are now, they can wait until they are both ready, what happened to his brother is an unexpected thing.

"He just probably misses you," he teased, wriggling his eyebrow at him. 

Jiang Cheng felt his face go red, the thought of his alpha missing him is making his heart race, well, he will not deny it to himself, of course, he misses his alpha, he's even looking forward to seeing him tonight in a suit like he's been imagining for a week now if not he didn't catch a sudden stomachache and forced to stay at home. He sighs in defeat, maybe a picture of him in a suit will suffice even tho he wants to see it in person. 

"I'm they'll call when something happens," Wei Ying coos when he notices Wanyin's sigh, rubbing his back to make him feel better. 

As if on cue, Wei Ying's phone rang. Excited hands immediately picked up the phone to answer the call, while Jiang Cheng immediately pressed his ear to the back of Wei Ying's phone to eavesdrop. 

"Babe, we'll be going straight there. I've called auntie and she said we can go there... brother... well uhh... some accident happen to brother--"

"--What happened?!" Jiang Cheng interrupted that made Wei Ying jump, surprising him with his sudden yelling just beside his ears. 

Wei Ying winced, noticing a sudden waft of burnt lotus pooling, a symbol of distress that is leaking out of him, "Hey, calm down. I'll talk to Lan Zhan, just stay there, hm?" he coos, leaning away from the other omega. Then he pressed the phone back to his ears once again, "Hey, babe. Sorry about that, A'Cheng suddenly panicked after you said Xichen-ge was in an accident."

Lan Zhan sighs from the other line, "He didn't get hurt or anything. It's just that, some omega tried to seduce him. Since brother's bonded, his alpha sought for his mate, but since his mate wasn't there he went haywire, usually, he's able to control himself from that amount of pheromones," he explained, "I'll tell the rest later since I'm about to drive my way to your house," he added before Wei Ying heard engined roaring at the background. 

Wei Ying nods even tho the other line won't see him, "Take care, love," he says before the call beeped to an end. 

When Wei Ying turned in his brother's direction, Cheng has a deep frown on his forehead, hands fidgeting, and eyes getting restless. Wei Ying sighs, patting his brother's fidgety hands, "He's fine. It's nothing serious. When they're here, we'll be able to hear the whole story. Yeah?" he coos. 

Jiang Cheng looked at him with worried eyes but then sighs his worries away, "Fine," he answers in defeat.

Not too long, they heard shuffling just outside the door. Jiang Cheng, despite his weak stomach, came down from his bed and went running to open the door for the two alphas.

When the door opened, he was welcomed by a panting Xichen that is being dragged by Lan Zhan. His face was all drenched with sweat, clothes disheveled and somehow smelt like another omega. His brows immediately furrowed, and burnt lotus started leaking out of him again if not for Wei Ying who suddenly appeared behind him and started explaining.
