"We'll surely be able to finish our project today!" Wei Ying chirped, sitting down at their usual spot at the library.

Lan Zhan smiled at him, his smitten eyes only focusing on the omega, "mn," he hums as an answer, setting his things at the seats across him and sitting beside the omega which the omega doesn't bother to notice.

"Just the final touches and we'll be able to pass it tomorrow, "Wei Ying answered, an involuntary shiver creeping into his skin, either way, he ignored them and busy himself from bringing out their project and laying them out on the table. 

The alpha watch Wei Ying's every move, it didn't also pass his eyes the way the omega shuddered. It must be the rain, the library feels colder when it's raining and cold-blooded tend to feel cold easily. And so he removed his jacket that he purposely wear in case it rains. His keen nose had been telling him since the morning that it was going to rain sometime today. He then gently put them around the omega's shoulder, making sure it keeps him warm, then subtly rest his arm on the back of the chair the omega is sitting in to add more heat. 

The omega obliviously hum when he felt something rest on his shoulder which he thought was just a light tap from the alpha to call his attention. "Why?" he asked, not batting an eye at him, too busy to even give him his full attention.

The alpha chortles as he watches the omega, "Nothing. You're too busy, take it easy for a second. I still don't want to end our partnership," he teased, well, a half-tease, truth be told, he'll miss being with the omega. The project is one of his reasons to get an alone time with the omega and now is the last day.

"Lan Zhan, do you happen to like someone?" Wei Ying suddenly.

The alpha was caught off guard, his heart palpitated tremendously. 'Did he discover my feelings for him?' his inner alpha rejoices, finally! 

In the past two weeks, he had been showing and expressing the omega what he feels. On weekdays, he does the same over and over, he waits for the omega then they go to their clubs, he gives him his energy drinks and let him borrow scented towels, and after club activities, he subtly asks him to accompany him at some cafe or even use their project as an excuse to treat the omega to the food he likes. But unfortunately, the omega is too oblivious to notice the subtle courting of the alpha.

But now, he didn't expect him to suddenly blurt it out, he was supposed to bring him to a most romantic place and express what he feel, PROPERLY! He's partly panicking internally even if his face doesn't show any signs of it. 

"What do you mean?" He asked, almost stuttered but managed to answer in a way that the latter won't notice.

Wei Ying shrugged, eyes not leaving the papers on their table, "you're rather expressive these days," then he turn his head at him with a smirk, "what changed? Or rather who changed you?" He asked teasingly, wriggling his brows

Lan Zhan's brows furrowed, "I don't know what you mean," he answers, staring back at the omega, trying to read what is he thinking right now.

The omega giggled, "See, see! You're furrowing your brows!" He teased, "hmmm..." He paused, thinking. "Is it someone from our department?" He added.

Lan Zhan internally jaw dropped, 'the fuck? So he didn't even notice everything I did!?'

"Oh, might be Mian Mian from the class next to us!" The omega beamed, "she's one of the prettiest omega in our department," he added with a giggle to tease him.

The alpha internally facepalmed, he doesn't know if he'd feel offended or relieved. It's good news that the omega didn't find out his feeling cause he had so many plans, bad news because he'd been trying his best to express what he felt for him and the omega is so oblivious as fuck. At one moment he just wants to punch some sense to the omega that he is the one he likes! Would he even take care of the omega if he doesn't like him? Fuck!

He sighed exasperatedly, my fucking gosh, he's so done with his oblivious ass.
"You're oblivious," he outright said, hoping it would give him some sense.

"Awww, you're no fun, Lan Zhan. Tell me who, please?" The omega whined, pouted as he didn't get the answer that he wanted from the alpha.

Lan Zhan sighed, he wants to sulk even if he doesn't have the right to, but he can't let the omega be insensible until who knows when. The library probably is the least romantic place to profess one's love but he'll make it work somehow.
