The two walked to the garden side by side. The moment they step foot into the openness, eyes immediately turn to glance over them. Alphas-- males and females alike, and betas, are gawking over the stunning omega but with the presence of the dominant alpha that is blatantly flaunting his claim on the omega by the looks of its possessive arm around the omega's waist, they knew they already had lost the fight in a first glance. 

While the omegas are in the mix of envy and astonishment, wishing to have what he has. Wei Ying is an epitome of an angel, he has beauty, brains, and a dominant alpha that loves him to the point of showing off his place in the omega's life. Alphas are not a kind of alpha you see every day, alphas are used to dominating, used to be being the top, and will never hide their tails between their legs for an omega, most of them won't stoop so low for an omega. But Lan Zhan is a lot different from the rest, he's caring, he takes mind of his omega's needs, he's possessive of him, and he loves him, a kind of alpha that any omega wants to possess. Unfortunate for them, he's only Wei Ying's alpha. 

They walk off their way to the front where Fengmian is already standing, waiting for them. The omega's lips are on a wide adoring smile while his ever loving alpha is as neutral as he can be. When they arrived, Fengmian greeted them with a smile and a handshake, patting the alpha's shoulders afterwards before Lan Zhan steps aside. 

"A wonderful evening to everyone!" Fengmian greeted the crowd which everyone greeting back a good evening and raising their glasses of wine. 

"Today is a very special day," he starts off, eyes looking around to familiar faces. "And I hope everyone celebrates with us and enjoys the night as we welcome the star of the night, my son, Wei Wuxian!" he grins. 

The crowd applauds, eyes directed to the person Fengmian mentioned.

"...and today is the day we welcome him to the business world," he continues. "As everyone knows, my dearest friend entrusted me with his company and his only son. I've been handling the Wei corp for years after the accident and now that his son is mature and ready to handle his father's business I'm handling back what once entrusted to me." he declares. 

At the corner of Lan Zhan's eyes is his uncle, eyes wide to the omega who is standing tall beside Fengmian. A series of curiosity and wonder circulates his mind, there's horror and fear in the older's eyes, probably some regret too that Lan Zhan got a hint of.

Qiren arrived just as the time the omega whom he wanted to stay away from his nephew stood tall beside Jiang Fengmian, he was quite laid back at the first declaration until pieces clicked into place as he listens. 

He knew that Wei Ying is the son of the late Wei Changze, he also knew of the company being left by him. But Wei Ying was still a kid who doesn't have a care about this kind of thing when his parents died. Qiren believes that omegas like him don't have a care for the business world, or even given the right to handle business-like things for they're seen lowest in the low in his late years and since Wei Ying is also an adopted son of the Jiangs, it was well known to him that whatever his father had left will never be handed to him and the Jiang will take over. 

Now, imagine his shock to see the future president of the company that invests in his company one-fourth of stocks is the person he threatened to leave his nephew a month ago. The person he thought will just bring downfall to his precious nephew is now standing in front, being introduced to the business world and proclaimed as the next in line. Shame builds inside him, the regret of running his mouth to the people he didn't know well. 

Qiren did investigate who is Wei Wuxian, he was given shallow information that he found unnecessary after reading the word 'omega' in the reports and didn't pry any further and dismissed him as an eyesore in his nephew's life. But oh how he got it all wrong. Now he wished he have read them thoroughly, that he took account of every detail. That he should've not discriminated against an omega just because he's an omega.

He made a grave mistake to judge a person not knowing his whole story. 

And as the whole was already a humiliation on his part, the omega accidentally made eye contact with him, adding more regret and shame to himself. 

His hands trembled. How should he face him? Sooner or later, he needs to come face to face with him again. How can ge atone for the threats he had thrown the ga? What should he do as he already lost face to one of his company's investors? He can only hide his tail between his legs of shame. 

"I hope as I guide him through this world, you support my son as well. May we all work together for each and everyone's success!" 

"Enjoy the party every one!" Fengmian finally declares and raised his glass of wine, coaxing everyone to raise a toast with him. The crowd did the same before chugging down all the glass's contents. 

After which, they all cheered, taking that as a sign of enjoying the party. 

Fengmian smiled proudly as the visitors went on their own enjoyment. 

"Come, I'll introduce you to our business partners," he invited. 

Wei Ying nodded, but before he follows the older, he looks at his side where his handsome alpha standing at. 

He approached the alpha and smirks slyly, "Hello, handsome. Can you be my escort for tonight?" he wriggles his brow. 

The alpha gave him a small smile, presenting his palm to the omega. "I am pleasured to be your acquaintance, pretty," he replies before the omega gigglingly accepts the invite. When he connects with Lan Zhan, the alpha pecks a soft kiss n his knuckles. 

"How cunning," he giggles.

"Mn," the alpha hums, pulling his omega into a possessive hold on his waist, "Dad is waiting for us," he whispers beside his ears which Wei Ying only giggles at. "Yeah," he answers and followed Fengmian all around the garden with his alpha in tow.
