After what they did at the library, the two went to get lunch in a cafe just across from the university, not really what Lan Zhan had in mind. He planned to treat the omega to something lavish to celebrate since they were not able to last Saturday. But since they spent almost half of their lunchtime eating something else, they settled on a cafe date. He apologized for it for who knows how many and the omega keeps reminding him that it is fine. After finishing their simple lunch, they went to their next class. 

They feel like the class finished so quickly, though it's a three-hours calculus class. Their classmates are already grumbling under their breaths, even Huaisang slept half the time of the class, but for the two, it doesn't feel that long. They find it too short actually. 

Since the class was held in a lecture hall, they were able to seat close to each other. Their pinkies are touching one minute and after seconds it's wrestling, but their fingers intertwined in the end, sharing warmth from each other's palms, though it's Lan Zhan who had a warmer hand than Wei Ying. Lan Zhan then pulled Wei Ying's hand on his lips when the professor turns his back to the class, planting a soft kiss before settling it down when the professor turns to face the class once again. They silently giggle when they eye their hands that are blatantly exposed above the fixed tables, glad that the professor didn't see that. They brought back their attention to the lecture once again, with rosy cheeks and racing hearts, focused and even more motivated.

Calculus is their last subject, and since it's Monday, their club activities are just meeting about the activities for the whole week. By the time it finished, it was already around four. The two immediately meet up at the parking lot. 

"I have my car with me," Wei Ying uttered dumbfoundedly. Well, he has no reason to be with Lan Zhan now since they have their own car. 

Lan Zhan chortles, "It's fine. We can just convoy," he suggested. 

Wei Ying beamed, maybe he still has a reason. He nods, "Okay!" he chirped. "Oh, by the way. Xichen-ge's car is not here," he uttered after seeing the parking space beside Lan Zhan's car is empty. 

Lan Zhan looked behind him, "Right, did he go somewhere?" he mumbles. 

"Maybe he went to visit A'cheng?" The omega guessed, "Since he looks worried this morning," he added as he shrugs. 

The alpha nods, his brother does look worried this morning. And so he shrugs, no need to worry for him then. 

"Let's go then," Wei Ying beamed, letting go of his alpha's hands to beeline his way to his car seat. Lan Zhan nods, making his way to his own car seat as well.

They arrived at the Jiang's mansion, as they guessed, Xichen is at their residence. His car is parked on one side of the driveway. 

"He's here," Wei Ying mutters upon getting out of his car and approaching Lan Zhan who has already exited his own. 

Lan Zhan nods, "He is," he answers, "Let me just call him so we can go back home together," he added. 

Wei Ying smiles wide, nodding vigorously. It just means they can spend at least 5 minutes more if the alpha enters the house. Lan Zhan chuckles at his reaction, immediately understanding the omega, he too wants to spend more time with the omega, if he could just bring him home and be with him 24/7 he already did it. But he can't, considering their situation with their uncle. 

As they walk inside they immediately spotted Ziyuan in the living room, sitting on the sofa while she sips on her tea. 

Wei Ying immediately pursed his lips. Should he greet her? But what if she suddenly gets angry? But before he can think of what he should do Lan Zhan beats him to it. 

"Good day, ma'am," he greeted with a bow which made the older turn her head at them. 

Wei Ying slightly jolts, flusterly bowed his head, "Good day, auntie!" he followed. He bites his lower lip when he heard the sound of her heels. She must be approaching them. He close his eyes shut, bracing for any impact coming from the older but it ended just in front of them. Wei Ying remained head-lowered, too afraid to look up at her.

"You're Mr. Lan, right?" She suddenly asked. Wei Ying thought he'll be hearing something awful from his auntie's mouth but was a bit surprised to hear her solemn voice. Maybe because there's a visitor?

The alpha nods politely at her, "yes, ma'am. I'm sorry for not being able to properly introduce myself. I'm Lan Wang-"

"-you can continue that over dinner," she cut him off before turning her heels to the dining room. 

Wei Ying immediately looks up at the alpha, eyes wide in disbelief. Did she just invite him over dinner? Thoughts of what-ifs run through his head as anxiety succumbs him once again. What if she tells Lan Zhan to scram off? What if she humiliates him in front of the alpha? What if--

He immediately snapped out of his thoughts when he felt a hand grab his, his eyes trailed to where it came from and saw the alpha looking at him with a smile on his face, "Thinking too much again?" he asked, clutching the omega's hand even tighter to reassure him that he's with him. 

"I- I..." he stutters, he can't deny that he's overthinking yet he can't tell him that either, instead, he lowered his head and pursed his lips. 

The alpha chortles, he reached for the omega's chin with his free hand and made him look up at him. "Hey, relax. Whatever happens, I'm here with you. I will not leave you, yeah?" he reassures, rubbing few small circles on his chin before pulling away. 

Wei Ying nods and gave the alpha a flat smile, he can't deny that he's still scared for whatever's going to happen but he knew his alpha is with him and will hold his hand throughout.
