"Didn't think you'd invite them," Lan Xichen uttered upon settling down his bag and books as he sit at a four-seater table. He's grinning wide as he teases his brother, imagine his surprise to know that he invited Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng, well in fact he doesn't really seem the type to do so. 

Lan Zhan settled down on a seat beside him, "You'll invite them anyway, brother," he simply answered not showing any sign of emotion from him. 

Lan Xichen shrugged, well, he was going to text them after doing club activities, it's just Wangji raced him to it. "Right."

They didn't wait too long when the bell of the cafe jingled, making the two turn their heads at the source of the sound. They immediately spotted two familiar heads, looking around. A wide grin painted Xichen's lips upon seeing the beta, he waved his hands to catch their attention. 

"Oh, there they are!" Wei Ying uttered a little loud which made Jiang Cheng jostle him to make him shut up. Wei Ying made a small yelp followed by a pout. "You're so cruel," he whined. Jiang Cheng just rolled his eyes at him as he made his way to the table, Wei Ying followed suit still pouting. 

Lan Xichen smiled wide when the beta stood in front of him, "Thought you will ditch us," he muttered, chuckling in fondness as he stare at the beta. 

Jiang Cheng raised an eyebrow at him as he stare back at the alpha, "I don't ditch on someone," he answered, "Plus Wuxian will just whine at me if we did not come," he added. 

Xichen nodded, smiling fondly at Jiang Cheng, "Oh, I see. Please have a seat," he offered. 

When Jiang Cheng was about to pull the chair beside Xichen, Wei Ying race him to it. "Oops, first come first serve!" he smiled smugly at his brother.

Jiang Cheng just click his tongue at him, "If I hadn't known better my face would be planted on the ground already," he uttered, pulling the last empty chair, across Xichen. 

Wei Ying just giggled, "Sorry," he replies, not even a bit sincere. Then his eyes wander around the whole cafe, the ambiance is calming. Then his eyes darted to the displays at the counter, "Oh, Didn't think the cafe have an ice cream parlor too!" he chirped. 

"Yeah, they said it's a joint business," Xichen replied when he turn his head to what Wei Ying mentioned. 

"I see," he nodded. 

Before the three can engage in a long-ass talk, Lan Zhan stood, "I'll go order," Lan Zhan excused himself. 

"I want a frappe and Mint milk chocolate for me," Lan Xichen said, not batting an eye as he listens to Wei Ying talk and talk. 

Jiang Cheng turns his attention to Lan Zhan, "Should I help you?" he asks, weak enough to not stop the omega from chattering. 

Lan Zhan shook his head as an answer, "No. What will I get for you?" 

"Ice cream latte and chocolate chip please, thank you," he replies, turning back his attention to Wei Ying. 

Lan Zhan nods as he went to the counter to order.

He came back with their drinks and ice cream. After setting them down, that's where Wei Ying just notice that he was gone for a while. "Oh, you already ordered? I could've gone with you," he pouted. 

"You were too engrossed in talking that you didn't even realize," Jiang Cheng scoffs and pulls his order closer to him. 

"Ehhhh? You should've told y'know. Now I need to order my-" the words were cut off when a bowl with two dollops of spicy ice cream slides close to him together with a Café Glacé. His head tilted in confusion, "Huh?" 

Lan Zhan didn't say anything as he sets down his brother's and his. Lan Xichen eyes his brother knowingly with a teasing smirk. Lan Zhan ignored them anyway, sitting back down.

"I like spicy ice cream!" he beamed then he trailed his eyes at the Café Glacé beside it, "Didn't think you know my favorite coffee!" he added. 

Lan Zhan glanced at him, feeling a little tingling sensation after witnessing his grin, but he ignored them right away. "Just eat," he answers, dismissing the omega.

Wei Ying grinned wide, grabbing at the spoon with excitement. 

"Hey, slow down!" Jiang Cheng reprimanded which the omega just ignores. 

And when he was about to eat, his hair slid on his face, a hand suddenly trespassed close to his face catching his loose hair, fingertips slightly touching his skin. He felt a sudden electricity from the contact, making him flinch a little. Then he looks up, only to see Lan Zhan's hands stretched out to him, "Slow down, the food will not run away from you," he says before letting go. 

Wei Ying felt his cheeks turn warm for a moment, suddenly feeling shy. He looks away timidly as he tucks his hair behind his ear. 

Lan Zhan was too stunned to even utter a word after seeing him tuck his hair. His heart raced for a second, and shit the omega looks so... beautiful... stunning even. The simple gesture made his brain go empty for a second and an unidentified feeling of his stomach somersaulting settled. He immediately looks away, pretending that he didn't feel something strange in him.

That didn't get away from the two who are with them tho, Jiang Cheng feels like puking watching two pinning idiots lowkey flirting in front of them, of course, he didn't do it, instead, Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes "Are we even needed here?"  he snarkily remarked causing Xichen to laugh. 

His laugh breaks off the awkward atmosphere on their table, causing the two idiots to look his way. "You know, we should dig in before our ice cream melts," he utters before grabbing a spoon and went digging on his ice cream.

Wei Ying took a small glance at the alpha across him then turn back to his food, his cheeks still feeling warm. While Lan Zhan just picks up his espresso and sips as his eyes look elsewhere.

While they were eating with a little small talk, Lan Xichen accidentally left a smudge of ice cream beside his lips which the beta immediately noticed. Jiang Cheng grabbed his handkerchief who is the closest to him instead of the tissue, he unconsciously wipes the ice cream off his face. Lan Xichen on the other felt his cheeks blushed, his heart racing. It was one of his dreams to be taken care of by the beta. If he had just been close to him sooner. 

"You too, slow down. You always look clean, didn't think you have a clumsy side," the beta mutters, retracting his hand. 

Xichen just grinned, ah damn, he's too smitten to this beta, "I'm not perfect," he just replies as he trace with his eyes every move of Jiang Cheng.

"Whatever," Jiang Cheng replies. 

Xichen chortles. Well, who knows maybe he'll try accidentally spill drops of food on his face to get the beta's attention, again.
