"Too bad we'll sleep in separate rooms," Wei Ying uttered as they head upstairs. He would be lying if he said he's not disappointed with that but he's more relieved, well, cause he might suddenly go berserk and he might do something unimaginable. 

The alpha chortles at his comment, "Why? Do you want to sleep together that much?" he said in a teasing remark with a smirk on his face. 

The omega immediately whipped his head at him in surprise, face all red. "N-no!" he immediately denies and turns his head back to their path, all flustered.

The alpha was quick to notice the omega's flushed face. He grins as he transfers the plastic bag he's holding on his right hand and his left hand slipping its way to intertwine them with the omega's. 

Wei Ying flinched at the touch, feeling the electricity travel around his body, despite that, he held on to his hand tighter. 

"Then we'll just spend the whole night together, when you fell asleep I'll go to my own room," he coos, rubbing his thumb over his skin. 

"Hmm.. kay" he answers, giggling inside his head as he thought of something, suddenly letting go of the alpha's hand. 

The alpha looked at him surprised, confused as to why the omega suddenly let go. His brows furrowing. And was about to protest, "Why-" when he was cut off by a soft lip damping on his so sudden then ghosted his lips as fast. He's more surprised now than confused, it was just a mere second that he was not able to react immediately. 

When he came back to his senses, the omega was already in front of his room, waiting for his reaction. The alpha smirks, "Is he trying to get his revenge?" he mumbles as he eyes his omega.

The omega just sticks his tongue at him and grabbed the knob, when he noticed the alpha took a stance, he knew he'd be screwed when he gets near. 

But too bad, the alpha runs faster than he thought and was able to catch up with him. When the alpha was able to catch up, he picks up the omega who squeaks in surprise, trying to wriggle out of his arms but failed (or maybe he's not really fighting back cause he loves his alpha's arms wrapped around his waist). Wei Ying giggles when the alpha drags him inside, closing the door after stepping inside, not fighting back anymore but playfully punching him.

"I know you're angry. I don't know where are you upset at, because of us being bonded or what I said at the hospital..." he continued.

The omega wants to protest that he's not angry about the bond and he's mad about the latter but he chose to listen, he won't answer and just listen.

"But I want to confess something first before continuing everything about us. You can stay that way if that will make you feel at ease," he smiles lovingly, caressing the omega's shell gently.

"Before everything that's happening now..." he paused, "I am already in love with you..." he confesses. Cheng's heart rate immediately quickens after hearing the confession but then, he's glad he's on his turtle form and the pounding of his heart cannot be heard or felt by the alpha. It was a surprise hearing him confess. He didn't expect him actually, it didn't even come across his mind that he likes him. He always thought that the alpha was just close to anyone on the campus since he's a student council president, he'd seen him being flocked by students, and the invite of hanging out is just him being an outgoing type of person. 

He wants to ask the alpha since when did he feels that way for him but he doesn't want to risk turning back at this moment. "I was already in love with you since you entered college..." he continued as if he heard the omega. 

"You were classmates with Wangji, and the time I went to get him because it's his first day in the uni, I saw you..." he paused, smiling fondly as he reminisce, "You were like a flower blooming among the crowd..." he added, chuckling after realizing how cheesy he sounds, then he continued. "...it was just an infatuation at first, but days passed so fast and now I'm three years in love with you..." he rubs his shell until it reached the marked neck, laughing at himself as he remembers how lovesick he is for the omega for the past three years. "So when I was given an opportunity in the disguise of Wei Ying, I immediately grabbed it. I was so happy just to make you smile, or frown, or even when you get all irritated... at least it was me who made you that way..." 

'Fcker, so you intentionally made me angry every time just for that?' he wants to complain, but then he smiled inside his head, '...but kinda cute...' If he's not on his turtle form, he would've been blushing so hard right now. 

"So when you became an omega right before my eyes, I was so happy but at the same time, I'm worried... I tried my best to control myself in front of an omega in heat, in front of the person I'm in love with. I was scared, but my alpha instincts is rejoicing inside me.  I have my consciousness to wake me up from being intoxicated with you, but you begged me and everything went haywire. When I woke up and saw you with a bond mark, half of me was so happy. But half of me was so scared. What if you don't like me back and you hate me so much to the bone from all the teasing I did? What if you hated me for putting a brand mark that will surely never disappear for the rest of our lives? What if you will never love me and are just obligated to be my omega because of the bond? There are so many what-ifs that have been clouding my head..." he sniffs, he didn't even notice that he started crying until he saw a peck of tears falling on Cheng's shell. 

Jiang was not numb, his head immediately whipped up to look at his mate. He was crying. He felt his heart clench seeing him so sad and dejected. 

"...I- sorry for bringing you into this..." he sobs, trying his best to wipe away the continuous flow of his tears. He chuckles to himself, "...You're seeing a lame side of me. sorry," he laughs playfully but his tears betray him anyway. "...I already said what I'm supposed to say... so I-" he paused trying to come up with an excuse, he doesn't want his omega to see him like this, that's so uncool. "...Uhh... You haven't had your dinner yet, right? I-I'll get you some downstairs," he reasons after sobbing and wiping his tears that aren't even stopping, putting Cheng down on the bed gently. 

When he was about to stand, he felt arms wrapping around his waist. His eyes are wide, looking down at the pair of arms. he bites his lower lip to stop them from letting out another sob. 

"Stay here..." he heard the omega talk, a little muffled since his face is buried on his back. "...I don't know what I feel yet..." he confesses, Xichen felt a little tinge but he's ready to listen to what could his omega wants to say. 

"...But whenever you're with me I feel at ease. I- I will try to figure out what I feel for you, can you give me a time to work this out?" he asked. 

The alpha removed the omega's arms around him and the omega confusedly look up at him, why did the alpha remove his arms? did the alpha doesn't like that? Will the alpha stop loving him? 

His overthinking was replaced when the alpha sits back on the bed, now facing the omega, and without thinking, his pair of strong arms lunge at the omega, hugging him tight in his arms. "I'm always ready to wait. I've been waiting for years and I will wait for more."

The omega sighs in relief and comfort, he loves how this pair of arms is making him safe, he loves the comforting Jasmine scent coming from the alpha, his alpha. His heart is beating wildly as he hugs him back with the same amount of force that the alpha is giving him. Then he purrs in satisfaction, letting himself melt over the alpha's comfort.
