"What did you buy?" Wei Ying asked upon sitting at the shotgun seat while his alpha sits on the driver seat after putting down the plastic bag of take-outs he bought earlier. The omega is now wide awake after Lan Zhan's multiple attempts to wake the omega, Wei Ying only buries himself deeper into the hug and lets himself be carried away by his sleepiness which the alpha doesn't have much choice but to indulge the omega. It cost them another twenty minutes before Wei Ying finally decided to wake up completely. 

Lan Zhan eyes him and smiles, "Foods you like," he answers simply as he puts on his seatbelt.

Wei Ying's cheeks blushed slightly but he didn't let the alpha notice it, "What about yours?" He asked despite feeling the butterflies in his stomach because of his alpha's act of service. 

"I can eat whatever you like, babe," he answers with a chuckle, pressing his palms on the steering wheel. 

The omega's brows furrowed, "Can you even endure spicy food?" he asked worriedly but the alpha only shrugs, "We'll find out. But if I can't you can just kiss the spiciness away," he smirks. 

He was flabbergasted at the sudden remark, the pinkish hue on Wei Ying's cheeks immediately turned red. It also spread all over his face like a wildfire, his heart jumping in his chest and butterflies keep flying all over his stomach. He pouted as he looks outside the window to hide his reddening cheeks. "Th-they must be waiting for us, w-we should go!" he exclaimed to conceal his bashfulness. 

The alpha only chuckles at him, proud to be able to make his omega blush. "Aight, let's go," he said, not teasing any further cause well, they have time for that later when they arrive.

They arrived at the Jiangs safe and sound, the omega being quiet the whole ride, too afraid for another teasing from the alpha while the alpha is sporting a wide smirk on his face. 

"We're here," the alpha finally utters after parking the car, Wei Ying didn't wait for the alpha and immediately stormed out of the car and opened the backseat of the car, and grabbed the plastic bags before banging it close and running his way inside. 

The alpha watches him with disbelief, tongue poking the inside of his cheeks, scoffing, determination to tease the omega later crept into his head, "You better get ready..." he mumbles to himself as he gets out of the car and eventually entered the house. 

Wei Ying was waiting for him inside, hoisting himself up with his hands on his knees as he pants. 

"Thought you hid yourself from me already?" Lan Zhan suddenly uttered behind him causing him to shriek and jump in shock, but before he can think of running away, the alpha was too swift to hold him by the waist, strong arms holding his thin waist in place. 

Then the alpha pressed his lips beside his ear, "What a bad omega you are..." he whispered in a husky tone. It made Wei Ying feel the shivers down his spine, electricity running down his body just like the last time, and feel ticklish on his ears making them redder than before. His body froze.

The alpha chuckles deep, getting his omega worked up finds the omega so adorable. He then let go of him and took the plastic bag from the omega, "Now let's go. You haven't had your dinner yet," he said to the omega who is still utterly speechless. 

"Y-You-!" he was about to protest when the alpha intertwined their fingers and pulled him. Dragging him farther inside. 

When they pass the dining hall, they saw Ziyuan and Fengmain sitting just across the wide-open door of the dining hall. The two noticed them right away. 

"Oh, you're already here!" Fengmian exclaimed, beaming at the two as if all the happenings this night was nothing. 

"Uncle?" Wei Ying muttered as they both approach the two, "Did you just finish your dinner? Sorry we came late," he apologized but his uncle only chuckled at him. 

"No, We already ate before you called us to go to the hospital. Actually, we just finished talking to Xichen. How about you, have you had your dinner yet?" 

Wei Ying shook his head, "Not yet. But we bought food so we can eat," he answers, pointing at the plastic bag that LAn Zhan is holding. 

"Then you can go eat then," Fengmian replied, "Oh, and, Wangji, you can stay the night. Xichen will sleep here too," he beams.

The couple looked at each other at the older's suggestion, a wide smile felt their lips.

"Thank you, sir," Lan Zhan bowed. 

"I already made the servants prepare the room you will use, it's just beside A'Xian's room," he declares. It somewhat made the two disappointed, if they'll be honest, they also want to sleep in the same room, either way, they chose to not show their disappointment to the older. "And Xichen will be staying at A'Cheng's room since they are already bonded," he added which made the two envious. It even crosses their mind that they wish they were bonded too but they knew better, so they set aside their envy and accepted what was given to them, they will be able to see each other when they woke up in the morning anyway. 

"Thank you, uncle," Now it's Wei Ying's turn to thank the older, "By the way, did Xichen ge and A'cheng have already eaten?" he asked. 

The older shook his head, "No, but I already ask the servant to prepare a meal for them. We'll call them after some time so you can go have your own dinner," he answered. 

Wei Ying nods before bowing at the two, "We'll be upstairs then, uncle, auntie." 

"Thank you for having me, sir, ma'am," lan Zhan bowed as well before Wei Ying finally pulled him upstairs, towards his room.

"Cheng?" Xichen called upon entering Wanyin's room. He slowly and carefully steps inside, trying to not create any sound to aggravate the omega. He scans the room but it looks empty and quiet and only the sound of the air conditioner whirring can be heard inside. 

The room was all quiet, the presence of the omega can not be noticed had not the faint whiff of his lotus scent. Then his eye darted to a lump on the bed, covered with a blanket. He approached the bed, as gentle as he can. When he reached the bed, he sat beside it and slowly raised the blanket. There he saw a 3 feet sea turtle on the bed with a familiar mark on its nape.

A fond smile broke off the wary lips of the alpha, eyeing the animal form of his mate kind of makes him special because he's displaying his weakness to him. He gently picks up the turtle into his hands, careful not to cause the omega any discomfort, then rests him on his lap, "Bub..." he mumbles softly, Cheng didn't move an inch despite feeling his stomach somersaulting and his heart pounding at the endearment, he didn't even want to turn into his human form right now cause he's pretty much upset at him, the words coming out from the alpha awhile ago is still clenching his heart, so tight that he can't distinguish if the beating of his heart is because of the endearment or his anger. 

But he settled on the latter, his anger is heavier than the other.
