Thirty minutes have passed and at any minute the omega will open his eyes. Before that, Wanyin was able to explain the situation to his sister and father. Yanli who rarely gets mad was full of rage and was about to dash to the university if Wanyin didn't stop her and told them that everything was under control and being investigated by Xichen. While Fengmian just held his anger, rather than lashing out since it's been cleared that it's under control, he just hopes that whoever did it to his son, they'll get punished. 

The moment Wei Ying's hands started twitching followed by a low groan, Lan Zhan immediately looked up to look at his omega, abandoning the comfortable resting of his head on the omega's hand while his fingers are intertwined with his. "Wei Ying..." he mumbles softly.

The omega immediately recognizes the voice, a small smile left his lips as he angles his head to the source of the sound, "Lan Zhan..." he slurs, forcing his eyes to open to at least get a glimpse of the alpha. When he successfully open his eyes or at least a little bit, his body rejoiced, he finally confirmed that the person he heard before he faints is the alpha. "...It's you..." he mumbles, still too weak to speak louder. 

Lan Zhan smiled and gripped tighter on the omega's hands, assuring him that it really is him, "Yes, it's me, Wei Ying," he confirms. 

"Hm, yeah. Where am I?" he asked weakly, gripping tighter on the alpha's hands though he's too weak to do so. 

The alpha smiles, "You're at the hospital. Do you remember what happened before you fainted?" he asked. 

Wei Ying's brows pinched, trying to recall what happened, then he lets out a sigh, "I remember doing the paper works," he slurs, "Then Wen Ning came to give me something to drink, he says it's from Mr. Jin..." he paused, "After that, I continued the paper works then there I felt my body weakened like I'm having a fever, before I fainted I heard you then that's what happened, " he answered, pulling up the alpha's hand to his face then rubs his cheeks at the back of the alpha's palms. 

Lan Zhan blushed at the gesture, followed by shivers when he felt a dark glare dart at him.

Even so, Wei Ying didn't let go of the alpha's hand and snuggled on them tenderly, "I was so afraid. I know it's my heat and I thought I'll be violated there, I was helpless and writhing in pain, but I'm so happy that it was you who found me," he confessed, looking up at the alpha. "...to be honest, you were the one that's been on my head while I'm feeling all the pain.." he added. 

Lan Zhan's cheeks turned red at the confession, not entirely because Wei Ying is making him feel all the butterflies flutter in his stomach but also because Wei Ying's family is here, witnessing everything. 

"...Uhh..." Lan Zhan was about to let the omega know that his family is here with them but Wei Ying started talking again, missing his chance to stop him. 

"I know it's not romantic to confess and answer your feelings in the hospital," he chuckles to himself, "And I'm even laid on the bed, wearing only hospital clothes..." he added, "But I don't want to delay any longer..." he pulled their hands to his lips, and pressed his lips on his knuckles, "Please be my boyfriend, " he declares. 

Lan Zhan short circuits, his heart erratically beating inside his chest and it may jump out any moment. Finally! But then he's afraid to answer without screaming with his lungs in so much happiness. He bit his lip as he restrain himself from too much bliss cause Fengmian is eyeing him as if threatening him and Yanli is sending him judging eyes. 

Wei Ying noticed the contorted face of Lan Zhan, he suddenly feel dejected. Did the alpha lose his feelings for him because of what happened? Doesn't the alpha love him anymore? Is he tired of him already after making him wait for weeks?
