you help Dolores get ready and take her down for breakfast. you help her in her chair and kiss her head. she giggles and smiles at you. That little girl has your heart for sure. you sit down and everyone has breakfast.
"Papi.." Dolores starts to say looking at you.
"yes mi princesa " you said
"what what did you take from mami last night?" she asked
you look at her confused.
"what are you talking about?" you ask
"well i heard you ask mami if she wants it and she said ' si give it to me give it to me' " Dolores starts to say
you hear Alma choke on her water. you want to disappear in that moment. Pepa is a blushing mess. how are you going to get out of this one?
"oh it was nothing mi princesa. just a.. toy. it was very mean of papi. it won't happen again. " you said
"did you apologize to mami?" she asks
"si papi did " pepa said
you two can feel all the adults looking at you two. it's time to invest in some ear plugs for Dolores. especially now since she can hear everything.
"Dolores do you want some strawberries ?" Julieta asks trying to distract the young girl
"si tia. thank you" Dolores said happy
after breakfast Alma ask to talk with Pepa. you take Dolores outside to play. you two play catch and read a book. suddenly Dolores grabs your hand and you look at her.
"papi... can i ask you something?" she ask
"sure " you said hoping it's nothing embarrassing
"will i get a baby sister ? Isa has Luisa and i don't have anyone " she said looking at her feet
"oh mi amor.. mami and papi wanted to enjoy you and give you all our attention. how about i talk with mami about getting you a sibling" you said
"please. i'll be the best big sister. i promise. i'll help with bottles and making the baby happy" she promises
you nod and kiss her head. your mom heart hurts with her want of a sibling. you don't know if you will be able to give her one. She was your rainbow baby after all.
"are you okay Papi? i can hear your heart beat racing " she said
"maybe Papi is getting a bit sick. i'll talk to your Tia" You said
"Dolores come play with me " Isabela said running over
"can i?" Dolores ask
you nod and watch the girls run off inside. you run a hand through your hair and walk inside. Pepa sees you and walks over.
"mami said we need some ear plugs for Dolores" she said blushing
you nod.
"i think so... talking about Dolores, she has a request. " you said
"what ?" Pepa asks
"a sibling" you said
you see Pepa tense up.
"is that not what you want?" you ask
"Mi sol it's not that... I'm scared. I don't want to get her hopes up and lose the baby or not even get pregnant. we don't use protection all the time so if I haven't gotten pregnant yet..." Pepa said
you pull her close and play with her hair which seems to help calm her keeping the weather at ease.
"hey.. we can try and see what happens. " you said
"you won't be upset if we can't" she ask
"mi girasol I would never be upset if we can't. we are a team after all. We can always adopt and still love that baby like our own. " you said
Pepa hugs you and buries her face in your neck.
"i love you" she said
"i love you too." you said
"i don't want to lose another one" she said
"i know. we will do everything we can to make sure we have another healthy baby" you said
"what boy names do you like?" she asks
"hm... i like the name Carlos " you said
"hm... Carlos Madrigal" Pepa tests out the name
"well what if we have a girl?" you ask
"I love the name Camila " Pepa tells you
you smile at her liking the name also
"that's a beautiful name " you said
"okay so if we have a girl Camila and a boy we will name him Carlos. " Pepa said smiling
"agreed. but first ear plugs for Dolores. " you said
