(Lloyd's POV)

I can't let the Devourer get her! I have to get my mom out of the city so I can protect her! Argh, why couldn't I have gotten a dragon and a Golden Weapon that could become a vehicle to help me reach the city sooner?!

"Wait......for me.......Luh-Lloyd!" I heard my father's voice panting from behind me "I want to save your mother too!" Argh! And why did I have to get stuck with him!?

I should probably feel somewhat glad that he seems to actually care about my mom but after what he just helped happen I can't, if he truly cared about her or anybody but himself he would have thought twice about helping those snakes unleash their Great Devourer. But of course his mind is only ever thinking about being the best and taking everything over for himself, throwing everyone else who should be important to him to the side

"Hey Lloyd! My feet are getting..........pretty tired and it's kind of hot out here........I think it's time for a.........break" Garmadon gasped as he finally managed to somewhat catch up to me "No! There's no time for a break!" I snapped at him as I kept staring forward, refusing to look him in the eyes

He was right about it being hot though, it's always burning hot in the Sea of Sand! I'd also be lying if I said the heat and the constant running wasn't taking a toll on me, I really do want to sit down for even just a second to catch my breath and give my legs a break but we have no idea where the Great Devourer could be right now so no matter what I have to keep running until we reach the city and save my mom, nothing will stop me fro-

Wait, is that a.....it couldn't be right? Out here?

My running came to a complete stop and I began walking toward what had caught my attention, with the sound of Garmadon cheering and then flopping onto the sand coming from behind me as I got closer to the rusty machine covered in a small mountain of sand. I got to work with brushing away a majority of the sand that buried what I hoped wasn't a mirage, soon my green eyes were able to get a good luck at what was thankfully real and not just a figment of my overheated brain

"Haha! Yes!" I practically jumped as I cheered with joy, my hands making quick work of whatever sand was left hiding our way out of the desert "Huh? What are you cheering about?" My father asked as he began walking over to me"Did your colourful Ninja friends destroy the Devourer?"

"Look!" I moved to the side and gleefully pointed at the treasure I just uncovered "It's a car! A real car! We can use this to reach the city way quicker!" I happily explained to my father who didn't look as happy as I was "I hate to tell you this kiddo but this old hunk of junk does not look drivable at all" He told me as he circled the rusty and broken down vehicle, examining every part

Once again he was right about something, the car certainly wasn't in brand new condition, half of it was still buried in the sand and the entire thing was covered in rust with only a little bit of its dark green paint being visible. Not a single door was attached and the engine had nothing covering it from the natural world, all four wheels were in surprisingly decent enough condition though

"We have to at least give it a shot! This is our best option if we want to reach the city before the Devourer" I told the four armed warlord with a determined look "I'm sure that Jay, Nya and Zane will know how to fix anything wrong with the car, if something isn't working then I can just give them a quick call"

"Well you won't have to do that" My father stepped away from inspecting the cars engine "Even with the engine looking out of shape it seems to be in somewhat working order, this thing not having any fuel is our main problem"

Ugh, I forgot about the fuel. The others vehicles don't have any problem with fuel so it kind of slipped my mind, I looked inside the car for any sort of extra fuel container but all I saw was torn up leather seats. Wait, the trunk! Of course! If this thing has any extra fuel it would be in the trunk! I mentally facepalmed before heading over to the slightly busted open trunk
