It felt as if I had a massive pit in my stomach as we watched the live news coverage of the city, the once bright and vibrant skyline was now clouded with terrible grey smoke that came from the chaotic destruction caused by those Stone Warriors, Lord Garmadon had trashed the city plenty of times before but this time it looked and felt so much worse. Ninjago City had never looked so eerie, the loudest and most crowded city in all of Ninjago was now completely empty, not a single person walking the streets as everyone was told to lock themselves inside until it had been deemed safe to roam the city again 

Of course a certain someone couldn't let this gigantic story escape their groundbreaking journalism "Gayle Gossip here reporting live on the scene of the Ninja's latest failure" The voice of the most annoying person in all of Ninjago loudly came from the TV, instantly making us want to switch the TV off. "As you can see Ninjago City has been flipped completely upside down! Just moments ago a massive army of Stone Warriors rose from the ground, and as you can clearly see behind me the Secret Ninja Force, who have sworn to be our protectors have failed to save the city from their attack!" Gayle blabbered on, gesturing toward the cityscape covered in rubble behind her "Are we sure that we can truly trust the Ninja to protect us?" The obnoxious reporter spoke directly into the camera, making it very hard for us not to throw the TV remote directly at the screen 

A very angry Kai furiously grabbed the TV remote and promptly switched to a much better program before practically slamming the already pretty broken remote onto the couch, I was expecting Master Wu to scold him for such a response but it looked like our wise old teacher was just as tired of the snooty reporter as we were "I must say that I am not very fond of this Gayle Gossip" Master Wu told us as he stroked his long beard, you know you're a terrible person when even Master Wu doesn't like you!

"Welcome to the club...." I muttered with my arms crossed, everyone else in the warehouse looking just as fed up with Gayle as I was "I'd like to see her deal with a bunch of indestructible living statues" Nya scoffed with a scowl on her face, we all nodded in agreement, I couldn't help but smirk a little at the thought of Gayle trying to fend off an army of Stone Warriors, maybe her agonising voice is the key to destroying them

As we started our weekly Gayle Gossip hating, Jay and Cole rejoined us in the warehouse after they had both just stepped out "Oh no, you guys just missed a report from everyone's favourite reporter" Skylor sarcastically joked as Jay and Cole took a seat, both of them looking relieved to have missed Gayle's latest news story "Is everything alright you two? You were out there for a while" Lloyd asked his teammates with concern

"It w-w-was just my p-parents calling, they were w-w-worried and wanted t-t-to make sure I was o-okay" Jay told my boyfriend as he put his cracked phone away, for a guy who's supposed to be good with tech you'd think he would fix it by now "F-For once I'm glad I l-l-live in a junkyard, my parents a-a-are safe far away f-f-from the city"

"And I just got off the phone with Seliel, I had to make sure she didn't get hurt by those Stone Warriors" Cole spoke as he grabbed a nice cold soda from the fridge, tossing another one over to Kai "I know it isn't really my business bro, but I gotta ask" Kai turned to face the muscular Ninja as he enjoyed his fresh soda "Are you ever going to tell Seliel about y'know, you being a Ninja?" He asked from his spot on the orange couch 

Cole shrugged his shoulders as he walked over to our seating area "I'm not sure if I will tell her, I kinda like that she doesn't know, having at least one person in my life who doesn't know about me being the Earth Ninja makes my life feel a little bit more normal" The shaggy haired teen responded before sitting down and taking a swig of his soda
