Ninjago: Ninja Life

First Night

(Lloyd's POV)

We've been sailing on the Destiny's Bounty for a few hours now, Kai seems to have calmed down about being on water but he's still kind of clinging onto the ship for his life, I look around at my other teammates and see Cole sitting on a crate listening to some music with his headphones, I see Zane with Wu helping him steer the ship. Zane then left my Uncle and went down into the ship's interior? I wonder what he's doing down there, I look back to the deck of the ship and see Nya looking into the water, she must be trying to connect with her elemantal power, I look over to the front of the ship and see Jay staring forward with his head in his hands, he looked a little down so I decided to see what was wrong with him 

"Hey Jay" I greeted Jay startling him a bit

"Oh uh h-hey Lloyd" Jay stuttered a bit embarrassed 

"So what's going on dude? You looked a little sad" I said as I leaned my back against one of the red dragon heads at the front of the Bounty

"W-what?! Me sad? N-n-no way!" Jay said to me faking a smile, but I could tell something was up, I shot him a look and he instantly began to confess 

"Oh o-ok you got me! I'm j-just worried, this is m-my first time on a w-world saving adventure and I d-d-don't know if I'm good enough!" Jay confessed sighing 

"Of course you're good enough Jay! You're an elemental master! Wu chose YOU for a reason!" I explained to Jay cheerfully 

"Yeah well I certainly d-d-don't feel like an elemental m-master" Jay said looking down at the wooden deck of the ship frowning

"Oh come on Jay, you'll be able to tap into your powers in no time! And I promise we'll all help you unlock your powers!" I said putting my hand on his shoulder making his eyes meet mine 

"R-really?" Jay asked me 

"Of course! You're a vital member of the team and we can't have you feeling down! Now is there anything else on your mind?" I asked Jay who immediately froze up and turned a bit pink, I looked at him confused until I saw who was behind him. Nya

"Ah so you do have an eye on a girl!" I teased Jay turning him even more pink 

"P-please don't t-t-tell anyone! Especially not N-Nya!" Jay pleased 

"Why? I think you guys would be a cute couple!" I said confused 

"B-but what if she doesn't l-l-like me back? I mean look at me! I'm a c-clumsy freckled f-face nerd  who's a-afraid of everything! I h-have messy hair a-a-and not to mention my s-stutter!!!" Jay quickly said to me in a panic 

"Well if you ask me that just makes you more unique! Come on let's go talk to her!" I said grabbing Jay's hand and began marching over to Nya, but Jay managed to stop me and pull me back away from Nya 

"Come on Jay don't you want to confess your feelings to Nya?" I asked Jay confused 

"Well it might h-have been easy f-for you but it's d-different for me! A-a-and I'm just not ready yet L-Lloyd!" Jay said to me with tears forming in his eyes, oh great now I feel bad! What kind of leader makes his own best friend cry! I sighed and began to apologise 

"Oh Jay I'm sorry, I don't want to rush you or anything, I guess I should understand that it's easy for me and the others to confess our feelings but it's not for you. I'm terribly sorry for making you feel uncomfortable I really am! Trust me Jay I'll be there for you when you're ready to tell Nya, that's what best friends are for!" I said to Jay making his tears disappear and smile 

"T-t-thank you Lloyd, and p-please don't mention t-this to the others! N-not even Sensei!" Jay said 

"Of course buddy, this will be our little secret" I said winking to him before leaving him to go talk to Sensei. I walked up the steps to the top of the ship to talk to Sensei 

"Hey Uncle" I said greeting my uncle with a smile 

"Oh hello Lloyd, what brings you up here?" Sensei asked me as he continued to steer the ship 

"Well I just wanted to ask you if I could see the map to the Golden Weapons" I said to Sensei 

"Of course Lloyd" Sensei smiled as he handed me his half of the map

I looked at the map and there were only 2 weapons on it, in the top right corner of the map there were golden shurikens, then in the bottom right corner there was a golden scythe, I looked at where the middle would be and I saw half of another weapon, I wonder what that one is 

"Sensei how are we gonna find the other weapons? Garmadon has the other half and we need to get them all so he can't turn Ninjago into his own image!" I said to my Uncle 

"Well Lloyd, when we retrieve the shurikens of ice and the scythe of quakes, we will just have to go without the map. Hopefully Kai, Jay and Nya's powers will guide us in the direction of the other 3 weapons, and hopefully Garmadon doesn't get there first" Sensei explained to me, I gave him back the map and realised it was getting quite dark, Sensei also noticed this and rung a bell making everyone including me jump and look at him 

"Students! It is getting dark out which means it is time for dinner! Please join me in the dining room!" Sensei said leading us down into the ship's hull, maybe we'll see Zane down here 

Sensei led us into the dining room on the ship and we all gasped, it turns out Zane had ditched us and had made us all dinner! We all stared at the beautiful dishes on the table before Wu gave us the word to eat, we all sat down and began to dig in, man Zane sure can cook! 

"So Sensei, what else should we know about our powers?" Cole said as he munched down his food 

"Well Cole, you all must unlock your true potential first if you wish to tap into your elemental powers" Wu said to us making us all confused 

"Uh true potential?" Nya asked Wu confused 

"Your true potential is when you face whatever is holding you back and fully unlock your powers within you. I have read in scrolls that you must face trials before you can even reach the Golden Weapons which should unlock your true potential!" Wu explained to us as we continued to eat, man this true potential stuff sounds awesome! 

We all finished up eating and cleaned up the dining room, Zane volunteered to wash the dishes as we all tidied up the table and dealt with the leftovers, well Cole ended up dealing with the leftovers, he ate them all! That guy sure can eat a lot, no wonder he's the elemental master of earth! Once Zane was finished washing the dishes, which was very quickly thanks to him being a Nindroid, Wu led us down a corridor and opened a door to reveal 5 beds and of course a charging spot for Zane 

"This will be where you all sleep during our journey" Wu said to us as we stepped into the room to admire it, it wasn't anything fancy, just a small wooden room with a window and 5 coloured beds, each coloured to match our suits. We all took turns in using the bathroom to change into our pyjamas we packed as we were all soon settled into bed and began drifting off to sleep

Okay so this chapter is a bit of a filler, I just wanted to write this to show what their lives will be like while on the Destiny's Bounty so I don't have to keep on writing it. The next chapter will 100% be about Zane finding the Shurikens of Ice so stay tuned for that!
