Walking into our apartment Maria and Ginger jump onto me, "Your aunt called and told us to look after you."

"I'm fine." I laugh pushing them away so I can get my bags inside. "I brought you guys some things actually." Opening my carry on I grab out an expensive year journal I bought from Barens and Noble, a special metal pen engraved, a vintage seventies jacket I found at my last thrift shop run with my parents, and a bracelet that was also engraved. "This are for you M." I tell her handing them over to her. Digging into my bag again I pull out a necklace I had engraved, some white leather boots. Hiding her last gift as it was a parting gift for her party in two months under some clothes, "These two are for you Gin."

"Wow she got way more than me?" Gin sticks out her lip pouting.

"Duh she loves me more."

Laughing, "I got something else but its a surprise and I hope the jacket fits and you use earthing else well."

"I will thank you I appreciate the messages on them." I had engraved  " Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud" for Ginger and Maria had "This is what you're going through its not who you are. You are stronger, smarter, and more capable than you could ever imagine. You're a survivor!" and her pain just had her name written on it.

Smiling I hug them both, "Of course now if you two will excuse me I have some unpacking to do."

"She seems brighter I wonder if she heard that Lorenzo was torn apart by Caden." Ginger says to Maria.

"Who knows I'm going to order a pizza you want anything?" Maria asks as I close my door. Putting everything away I go out and enjoy a few slices of cheese pizza as we continue or binge session of new girl.

Going to my therapist I sit in front of her completely excited, "So Ginger's party is in a few more weeks are you excited."

"I am actually I planned out her graduation party perfectly."

"That's great, have you spoken to Caden during your time back from vacation."

"No actually I haven't."

"Even after your dream with your parents."

"No ma'am."

"It has been nearly two months I gave you the assignment to speak with him and lay it all out like you did for your parents Jade." leaning back she stares at me over her glasses, "why is it hard for you to do this?"

"I don't know maybe the fear of being rejected."

"Mmmmm." adjusting her glasses, "you know you cannot hide from rejection it comes in many different ways and forms."

"I realize this."

"Good has anything else changed since we spoke last week."

"Well recently I found a condo that isn't too far from campus and I got a laptop."

"Using the money your parents left behind for you?"

"Yes, I decided to use the things they left behind for me to have. I also got a job at the campus hospital as a nursing assistant."

"That's great." she says checking something off on her note pad, "how about your date nights with yourself and your friends?"

"I have been consistent with them I take myself to dinner, to the movies, to picnics, book shopping and we all meet for brunch, roller skating, coffee dates, morning jogs, thrift shopping and whatever else we can think of recently we had a paint and wine night."

"That sounds amazing ahh to be young again." she says smiling.

"It's okay."

"You say that now until you get to my age."
