"Do we really have to go in?" He whines for the third time.

"Yes." I simply reply.

"You can see all of this online." He insists.

"It's not the same. Let's go." I grab his wrist and drag him to the entrance of the museum.

I've been wanting to check out this art museum before we arrived in Jeju, it is one of the spots I have in my list.

They have a section of ancient Korean art, which I am particularly interested in. But they also have an exhibit from a couple of modern artists.

If this is definitely my type of activity, it definitely isn't JK's. I am sure that if he gets to see the exhibition he will love it, so I drag him inside without thinking twice.

There aren't many people around, since it is the middle of a working day. Which is perfect, less people will make it easier to enjoy the pieces and take cool pics.

I approach the ticket booth to purchase our tickets. A middle aged lady with the sweetest smile, greets us behind a plexiglass.

"Hello!" I say bowing slightly. "Two tickets please."

I grab my wallet but JK puts a hand in top of mine stopping me.

"I'll pay." He says reaching for his wallet.

"No way. I dragged you here, so the least I can do is pay." I shake his hand, grab a few bills and give them to the lady.

Her eyes are wide looking at JK. She says something in Korean and he nods. He slowly pulls up his mask covering his beautiful face. She seems excited while talking to him. After a few minutes of conversation which I didn't understand a word, she gives me the two tickets and waves goodbye.

"What was she talking about?" I ask while giving our tickets to the security guard.

"Just saying I reminded her of her son or something." He shrug.

I barely hear him, my eyes open wide when I scan the first room of the ancient exhibition. I just squeel, clapping my hands in tiny. This is going to be amazing!

I go near the first piece and admire it. It a big slab of granite with intricate engravings. A few areas are a bit worned out but you can still see the level of detail the artist put into the piece.

I always get amazed when I see the detailing in ancient pieces. How were they able to this back then, when there weren't many tools around. It's mind-blowing.

I lean in to see the card explaining the history of the piece. I'm one of those people who likes to read this type of info in museums. Luckily, there is a English translation that I'm able to read.

I take my time on the first piece. When I turn around I don't see JK near me. I scan the room, expecting to find him seated in a bench scrolling through his phone.

However when my eyes lock on his figure, he is in front of an old painting. It is huge, full of colours and it shows a forest scene with tigers. He is focused on the painting, with his big brown eyes going over every detail.

He looks cute, his forehead is slightly creased and he is chewing on his bottom lip. I grab my phone, taking a few pics of him. He kind looks tiny next to the big canvas. He is so concentrated that he doesn't see me approach so I snap a couple more pics.

"You like this one?" I stand beside him, our arms touching.

"Yeah, it's actually really cool." He replies with his eyes still on the painting.

"Isn't that the same type of tiger you have tattooed?" I point at the painting.

"Yeah, the same style." He confirms.
