Layla and you were enjoying a day out on the closest beach to your apartment. Layla had packed the most food filled picnic basket you've ever seen and included yours and gets favourite drinks. She held your hand tightly in a loving way and kissed our cheek softly as you arrived to your favourite spot on the beach. "Abdullah not to far okay? We still wanna be able to see you" You said softly to yours and her baby boy. He was six years old now and he acted exactly like Layla. "Yes mama!" He squealed softly heading to the water. Layla chuckled softly as you began setting the picnic up. "He acts so much like you , our little adventurer" you said watching him with a smile on your face. "Who do you think taught him~" Layla sung setting up the food, You laughed and sighed softly thinking of when you and her first met.
You had protected her with your chaos magic and she had fallen in love with you the moment you both locked eyes. You had stopped using your powers since Abdullah was born as you didn't wanna accidentally hurt him or endanger him if he was around you. "Do you miss using them?" Layla spoke snapping you out of your trance. "I do , the feeling of the magic flowing through me , the bursts of energy it gave me whenever I saved someone" You answered , "Would you go back?" She asked , You looked at her "if you and Abdullah were in danger , I'd use them straight away." You said softly before being tackled by your eager son. You giggled lifting him up and covering his face with kisses as Layla took pictures of the two of you and sent some of them to Steven since he was Abdullah's godfather. Steven loves the bones off of this little boy and offered to babysit whenever you and Layla wanted a night to yourselves.
"Alright alright, time to eat~" you said and Abdullah cheered reaching for his favourite sandwich whilst you and Layla tucked into some crisps.(chips if you're from America!) It was moments like this that you wish you could freeze in a picture frame and save it from time. Layla's happy smile , Abdullah's little giggle and you just watching them with a soft smile. "Mama can I have a juice box please?" Abdullah asked looking up at you , You smiled and grabbed one from the box and handed it to him watching as he tried to get the straw in. Layla chuckled and helped him before pecking his cheek and finishing her food and grabbing a drink herself. "Can we go see Uncle Steven?" Abdullah asked. Layla looked at you and nodded, "I don't see why not" She said , Abdullah's smiles brightened and he done his cute little happy dance.
An hour had gone by and you decided to start packing your things up so you could make it to Stevens house on time. You began walking to his apartment where he was stood outside waiting for all of you. "Uncle Steven!" Abdullah cheered running to him. "There's my main man!" Steven cheered picking him up , You smiled softly but heard growling behind you. "Steven take Abdullah inside please." You said seriously. Steven nodded and took Abdullah and he bags inside up to his apartment where it would be safe and you turned around. A jackal was stood behind you with its teeth bared and saliva dripping down its fangs. Layla took apart her moon necklace and got into a defensive stance preparing to fight.
"Hand over the child. He possesses the power of Khonshu." Arthur spoke up popping out from behind the jackal. You raised your hands as blue orbs of chaos magic began forming. "You're not gonna lay a finger on our son." You spat. The jackal growled and lunges for Layla and you threw your hands to her moving her out of the way. She smiled jumping on its back and stabbed the jackal in the neck but it threw her off, You quickly caught her with your magic and lowered her to her feet as she lunges for the ugly creature again. You turned to face Harrow as you began to let your anger take over. You aimed your magic at him and shot it at him and he groaned. Harrow swung his cane around and swung it down to hit your head. You stopped now on your knees and used your magic to push him off and away from you whilst raising him in the air.
"You are literally the worst piece of shit I have ever come across." You growled swinging your hands around dragging him along with your magic. Layla had killed the jackal by then and was now standing watching you. "Who's protecting Steven and your little boy hm?" Harrow rasped out. You heard a window shatter and seen a ball out of white flipping out the window. It was obvious Marc had taken over the body and walked towards you and Layla with Abdullah in his arms and handed him to Layla before heading over to you.
"Not in front of him alright? Calm yourself , I'll take care of him". Marc whispered touching your arm carefully. Despite him being one of the toughest people , He was scared of what you could do to him with your chaos magic. You growled again before dropping Harrow to the floor and ran to Abdullah and Layla hugging them tightly. Marc grabbed Harrow by the neck and dragged him somewhere away from you.
"Are you okay bubs?" You said checking Abdullah for marks. With teary eyes , Abdullah looked at you and hugged you around your neck as tight and as much strength as a six year old could muster and you hugged him back closing your eyes. "Hey mama?" He asked , "Yes honey?" You responded. "Are you , mommy and uncle Steven hero's?" Abdullah asked now looking at you. You looked at Layla and she nodded softly stroking his hair. "Yes we are bubs , we stop bad people from hurting innocent good people like how uncle Steven protected you from that bad man that Mama was fighting" You said stroking his cheek.
"YAY! My family are hero's!" Abdullah cheered happily which left you and Layla giggling.
