Sean couldn't focus on anyone else. He could only think about the pain and how he wanted it to just end. At least until Matt managed to take his puppy from his arms. Jerking his head in his direction, Sean snarled at him. Matt fell back on his ass, clutching the puppy close as he stated out in a timid rush. "Easy! I just want to make sure that it is-" Sean rose up on all fours, letting out a loud growl, before the pain across his torso made him curl up enough that his legs buckled. Curling up and whining, Sean felt like crying. He didn't like this feeling. By the time the medics arrived, Sean was breathing harder and whining through the contractions. Managing to get him on a gurney, they rushed him to the ambulance. In all the chaos, Sean started to stress as the medical team asked those following them. "Who is traveling with him?" From somewhere Matt rushed out. "His mother can't go. She needs the other ambulance. And the guys are-" Mark climbed into the truck, telling the medics firmly. "I'm staying with him. Go! NOW!" Matt tried to say something about Mark's arm, but Mark slammed the door, and the ambulance took off.

Sitting down on the bench, Mark put a hand on Sean's back to calm him. Sean refused to relax though. Glancing around, he tried to find his puppy but didn't see it. Did Matt still have it?! Sharp whines and yelps left Sean, but no one could understand him! Rubbing his back, Mark leaned closer and told him. "It's ok. You're going to be ok." The medics discreetly injected his leg with something, prompting Sean to kick the person into the door with a yelp. The other Medic began putting on gloves and leaned closer to tell their co-worker calmly. "The puppy is crowning. Try to keep him still." Mark nodded to the medic that got kicked, inching closer to lay his weight on Sean's back to keep him down on the gurney. Kissing his silky ear, Mark whispered how much he loved him and all that they'd do after this. Sean listened to some of it, but whatever they gave him was kicking in and making him relax. Just as he heard a puppy whine, his eyes closed, and he found himself napping a bit in his exhaustion. He got flashes of being moved from the ambulance and rushed to a room, but he was so tired that he didn't care. He was just happy not to walk anymore.

He just wanted to sleep and for things to go quiet for a while. Even when he did hear his dad calling out to him and telling doctors that he was going to stay with him. He heard Mark protest... but his dad must have won the argument with the sudden protective growl he heard. When he finally opened his eyes, he winced at the bright light streaming in from the window by his bed. Slowly a curtain was pulled across the window to soften the lighting, allowing him to see Mark. Mark was in a hospital robe of his own with an arm that rested in a cast and bandages over certain parts of his body. His eye was bruised so badly that it was a deep purple in color and his nose looked just as bad. All the bandages made him look like he should be resting, but he just looked so happy. Sitting on the edge of the bed, Mark brushed Sean's bangs away from his eyes as he whispered to him. "How are you feeling?" Sean shifted a little, mumbling out. "Like I was hit by a truck... How long was I out?" Mark shrugged, telling him honestly. "Just a few hours. The medicine they gave you had you drifting in and out." Jerking upright, Sean blurted out as his memory came back. "Where are they?!" Mark eased him to lay back down, calmly informing him. "Easy. They are fine. Your dad is watching them give them a little health checkup.

Sean shook his head, asking really worried. "A health check-up? Why? Did something happen to them?!" Mark stroked Sean's chest, telling him a bit louder but just as calmly. "Nothing is wrong. They are doing great. They just wanted to clean them and make sure they have strong vitals. They'll be back any minute now." Sean licked his lips, then asked nervously. "Have you seen them?" Mark shook his head, answering a bit grimly. "No. Your dad and Matt have been keeping them from me and Nathan." Sean relaxed just a bit, asking next. "Nathan's ok? My mom?" Mark nodded, sweetly telling him. "Banged up. But fine. Your mom is getting a cast for her leg right now. Took a while to set it. It was broken in... a lot of places. The doctors were impressed she stood on it for as long as she did." Sean smiled, exhaling as he forced himself to settle down. The speaker out in the hallway made announcements to doctors almost every other minute about patients, prompting Sean to say softly. "The Pack? How many got hurt?" Mark shrugged, informing him. "Too many to say right now. Some are just cuts and bruises. Others broken bones. I haven't heard of any deaths on our side yet. My dad is still sorting things out for me. He wanted me to rest and... I wanted to be here with you."
