SUNNY Becomes Shangri-La's New Chairman June 12, 2023. Written by Jung Hye-ri.
COngratulations SUNNY!
On June 12, SUNNY was officially announced as the new chairman of Shangri-La Group. She takes over her father's position as the chairman.
While SUNNY was appointed as the chairman, both her brothers were appointed as the CEO of the company, making them second in command of the company. A press conference was held in the afternoon and the three siblings came public for the press.
SUNNY expresses her gratitude to the people who have trusted her and appointed her as the chairman. SUNNY also explains that the position she was given was just to fill in the empty space. For now, SUNNY appoints Adrian to be the first in command of the company.
Even though she's a full-time K-Pop idol, she will continue to help and support her family's company in whatever situation, especially when going through hard times.
Millions of congratulatory messages were sent to SUNNY through Twitter.
In the evening, SUNNY uploaded a lot of photos from the ceremony this morning, a press conference, and a dinner party to celebrate the new board of directors and to wish everyone a new start.
A few of SUNNY's celebrity friends commented on the post, congratulating her on her new position in her family's company.
