[[EDITED]] Today was the day that Max was going to teach Lauren to fend for herself, starting with agility. At first Lauren thought the sound of flips was quite cool but now she was seeing the ground so far away from her, she was immediately regretting agreeing to this.
Below her, Max was having the time of his life. There was something quite funny about her face as she braced herself to jump, mumbling to herself.

"Lol, just push of and lean forward that way you will actually flip" Max said as Lauren started to climb back up after another failed flip. "Maxy, I am flipping" "You look like a hedgehog, Lauren" Lauren turned to face him, "Hedgehogs are awesome" "Just try to not curl up that much and lean forward" He nodded. Lauren, taking Max's advise into consideration, jumped again. Once her feet landed on the soft matt, Lauren looked up. Only to see Max shaking his head, laughing silently. "Now you just look like a pencil" Lauren stood up and crossed her arms "I'm hoping that was sarcasm, Maxy" "Then you will be very disappointed" Lauren groaned loudly and climbed back up to beam, feeling rather annoyed.
After having a mini pep talk to herself, Lauren jumped.
"Lol!" Max ran up to her "That was brilliant!" He said hugging her.

Lauren wrapped her arms round him and smiled "Really? for a second I thought I saw the white light of death" Max laughed, "Its a good thing you're not, I would've had to explain that to our parents" He made a face "That wouldn't have gone well" Lauren laughed, "not for you, no. But I would've been able to come back as a ghost and watch the whole thing"
"Wow, I feel so loved"
"You are, now lets get some food" --- Jace was just walking past the training area when he heard two familiar voices. Being the nosey person he is, Jace decided to take a sneak peek on how Lauren was doing. He looked just in time to witness her perfect front flip. Jace felt his heart swell with pride just from the sight.

Jace couldn't help the grin that crept into his face when he watched their embrace. Just like Clary and Simon, best friends. He thought. He quickly rushed of when he heard the two get ready to leave. He didn't want embarrass Lauren, he didn't want to be that Dad. --- Lauren was currently untying the multiple straps on her harness when Max tapped her. "Wanna try a backflip?" Lauren gave him a look.

"That depends" she said "you wanna see me die?" "Ok, fair enough. You've done enough for one day, wanna go to taki's?" "Na, I'm cooking with Izzy today" "You're kidding me right?" "No, together we make quite a team. I'm teaching her" "Really?" "Well you know the pancakes you had this morning?" "Yeah Clary made them" "No she didn't, Izzy and I did, Clary said she made them so people would actually eat them" "But izzys a terrible cook" "Like I said, we make quite a team" Laughing at the look on Max's face, Lauren turned and made her way to the kitchen.
