I groaned and rolled over to grab my phone because I knew it was mine from the ring tone and answered it.

Lexie: hmm but that's okay what time is it?
Nessa: nine thirty, I was thinking I'll be at your house in an hour and we can go to breakfast if you want...
Lexie: yeah sounds good, I'll start getting ready and you can just call me when you are here

Lexie's pov
I opened my eyes after I hung up the phone and saw I was in the room by myself but could hear the boys blasting music downstairs so they were obviously working out. I got up from the bed and walked to the bathroom to take a quick shower to help wake me up faster and fifteen minutes later I was out. I threw on a vintage t shirt with some jeans and sneakers before putting my hair in a high ponytail, grabbed my purse, phone and walked downstairs towards the gym.

Bryce: hey lex where are you going?
Lexie: breakfast with nessa and then to the studio
Bryce: really?
Lexie: yeah
Griffin: have fun but be careful I still don't trust her
Lexie: guys she's a better person when Mads isn't hanging over her shoulder
Kio: still we don't know what her intentions are
Lexie: I am sure she just wants to be friends and now that I know she wasn't trying to split my family up I have nothing against her
Griffin: yeah I know but still
Lexie: don't worry I'll be fine where are josh and Jaden?

Lexie: oh that's right I forgot, okay well I am going yo chill in the house until I leave
Bryce: okay let us know when she's here

Blake: so are we really trusting nessa?
Anthony: Avani says that her and Mads don't even talk anymore which is why she's hanging out with her and Charli, I think we need to give her the benefit of the doubt
Kio: I don't care I am telling you I don't get good vibes from her
Quinton: that incident happened over a year ago let it go
Kio: she told them I was flirting with her! As if I would ever (crosses his arms)
Noah: maybe that's the impression she just got
Kio: or maybe she was trying to get them to turn against me
Griffin: I am with Kio, I haven't liked her since the chase thing
Anthony: you guys are impossible (shakes his head)
Lexie's pov
I decided to watch the new episode of all American while I waited for Nessa and by the time the episode finished she texted me that she was outside so I got up from the couch and walked over to the boys and told them I was leaving, then I walked out of the front door and opened the passenger seat to nessa's car.

Nessa: hey lex (smiles)
Lexie: hey how are you?
Nessa: I am good, so I was thinking we can go to first watch, have you ever been there?
Lexie: no what is it?
Nessa: it's a healthier breakfast place
Lexie: okay let's go then
(Nessa starts driving and on the way they listen to music and talk until they get to the restaurant and nessa parks the car)
Hostess: hi welcome to first watch how many in your party?
Nessa: just two
Hostess: okay we can seat you guys right now so just follow me
(They get lex to the table and sit down while the host hands them their menu and walks away)
Lexie: what do you usually get?
Nessa: the lemon ricotta pancakes are pretty good but so is the granola bowl
Lexie: the French toast sounds good but it's basic and I am the mood to try something new
Nessa: you should do the granola bowl then it's a good start and it's basically Greek yogurt with a bunch of fruit and granola obviously
Lexie: yeah I guess I'll try that
Nessa: okay
Lexie: so how's the album coming along?
Nessa: it's good, I am halfway done with it, and I am releasing a single soon besides the one we are doing
Lexie: yeah I think it's actually really brave of you to be this vulnerable and open about something your struggling with
Nessa: well you are doing it to so props to both of us (smiles)
Lexie's pov
Nessa and I talked some more about the song and possible music video which would need to get done before the end of this week if we do a music video and then we just talked about tour and my relationship with Landon. A few minutes later the waitress came with the food and we started eating and thirty minutes later we were done and on our way to the studio.

Bree: hey Lex (smiles and hugs her)
Lexie: hey Bree how are you?
Bree: I am good and you?
Lexie: good, busy which is always a good thing
Bree: yeah, are you two ready to record?
Nessa: yeah
Bree: okay you two get in the booth and then I'll start the track
Nessa: okay
(Lexie and nessa walk into the booth and put on their headphones and Bree puts the song on)
Nessa: you should take it as a compliment, if I were you I would be more confident you are lucky that your pretty why are you obsessed, with your appearance I don't want to hear it your fine, it's been my best kept secret for a while now no one ever sees it but it's all around it's the dinner conversation no one talks about don't know how much longer I can keep this down

Did you lose a little weight? You should keep it up because it really looks great, i hate that I always look my best when I am dying on the inside
Nessa: when I am dying on the inside, i wish that I could break the mirror that makes me feel like I should fucking disappear and drown my demons in a bathtub filled with tears, no matter what I try they always seem to come back to life, what if I didn't do this to my body, what If I quit and then you don't want me, the dinner conversation no one talks about, don't know how much longer I can keep this down

It was about two thirty by the time we got out of the studio and started driving back to the house when my phone vibrated.

Lexie: (blushes) yeah
Nessa: I am happy for you lex you deserve someone who treats you what you are worth
Lexie: thanks.. what about you anyone special?
Nessa: I don't know to be honest I have my eye on someone.. but it's complicated
Lexie: ooo who is this mystery person, guy or girl?
Nessa: guy but that's all I am saying right now because like I mentioned it's complicated
Lexie: okay okay I won't pry but I hope it works out for you ness, you deserve someone too
Nessa: (mumbles) I hope it works out too
Lexie: what?
Nessa: nothing just agreeing with you

Lexie: do you want to come in?
Nessa: I don't know.. you know how the rest of them are around me
Lexie: I mean I know things are weird but you used to hang around all the time maybe we can get back to that.. you know since Addy and Bryce broke up the only other girl around is Avani and that's rare
Nessa: what about Amelie?
Lexie: she's barely over too
Nessa: okay.. I guess it couldn't hurt to say hi

(Nessa gets out of the car and Lexie opens the door)

Bryce: thinking of YouTube ideas, ness do you want to hot box with me?

Lexie: Landon (walks over to the front door and opens it)
Landon: hey princess (wraps his arms around Lexie's waist and kisses her)

Josh: and us we are here too

Nessa: hey (looks at the guys) well I should get going but I just wanted to get down and say hi

(Griffin hits the back of his head)

Nessa: anyways bye guys (walks over to josh and hugs him one more time, then waves at everyone and leaves the house)
Josh: is it just me or was that weird?
Jaden: (shrugs his shoulders and wraps his arms around his waist and kisses his neck) doesn't bother me because I know your mine
Josh: I am not mad about it, I just found it weird
Quinton: maybe she was just in a good mood
Josh: she hugged me twice
Cooper: don't over think it dude I am sure it's nothing
Josh: yeah probably
(Lexie looks at Landon) you want to ditch them and go in the hot tub?
Landon: I would but I didn't bring swim trunks
Lexie: I am sure Jaden has some that will fit, Jaden
Jaden: yeah?
Lexie: do you have swim trunks Landon can borrow? We are going to go in the hot tub
Jaden: yeah but no funny business understand? (Looks at Landon)
Landon: dude I am not going to try anything with you guys in the house
Bryce: that's not exactly helping your case
Landon: I wouldn't try anything at all..
Josh: better
Lexie: (rolls her eyes) leave him alone, Jaden can he borrow some or not?
Jaden: yeah third drawer on the left side of the dresser
Lexie: okay come on (grabs his hand and they walk upstairs) you can change here and I'll change in my room and meet you downstairs
Landon: okay
Lexie's pov
I walked into my room and opened my closet and decided to spite the boys for their little interrogation on Landon and grabbed my teal chain strap push up bikini top with matching bottoms, left my hair alone, grabbed two towels and wrapped mine around my body so that the boys wouldn't see it until later. When I got downstairs I already saw Landon in the backyard and getting into the hot tub so I followed him and when he saw me getting in he wrapped his arms around my waist and sat me on his lap and just held me while we let the hot water relax our muscles.

Lexie: I am sorry my brother is so overprotective
Landon: it's okay I understand why (plays with her hair)
Lexie: I like this (lays against his chest)
Landon: like what?
Lexie: just the fact that we can lay in each other's arms and talk (looks at him) you help me feel safe and comfortable
Landon: (smiles) I am glad because that's all I want do for you (pecks her lips)
Lexie's pov
We sat in the hot tub for a little while before it got too hot and I decided to get out for a little bit and grabbed my phone and started scrolling through TikTok when I came across a few new dance trends they were doing. The first one was a new trend by Lizzo so I watched a few people do the dance and then set up my phone to do the tik tok and started doing the hand movements, the chest bump and swaying my hips side to side and as soon as I was going to twerk towards the camera Landon saw and got out of the hot tub and jumped in front of me. I laughed because I wasn't expecting him to do that and ended the tik tok and captioned it "he caught me by surprise 😂"

Lexie: (looks at him and pouts) why did you stop me?
Landon: because you don't have to be shaking your ass in front of the camera like that baby, the only person you can shake that ass for is me (smirks)
Lexie: (laughs and hits him in the chest) shut up
(Griffin opens the sliding glass door and walks to the backyard)
Griffin: hey we are going to Uber eat apple bees what do you guys want?
Lexie: hmm chicken tenders with fries
Griffin: okay what about you landon?
Landon: just a burger and fries, thanks
Griffin: no problem (walks back into the house)
Lexie: (looks back at Landon) you want to do one with me?
Landon: I don't dance
Lexie: don't worry I'll pick a simple one
Landon: okay
Lexie's pov
I scrolled through the sounds and found I wanna ride, I smirked and pressed play and I looked over at Landon who was smirking and I pressed play on the sound and did a little hand movement before twirling my hair and started to pretend to grind on him and he mimicked my movement. The audio finished and I captioned it "The boys are going to kill us 🙈" after that we did a few more and then went in the pool and started swimming around but squealed when Landon caught me by surprise.

Lexie: don't do it
Landon: aw but babe it's tempting (lifts her in the air)
Lexie: Landon (whines) nooo
Landon: to late (throws her in the air and then she falls back into the water)
Lexie: (swims to the surface and splashes him) I hate you (pouts)
Landon: no you don't (wraps his arms around her waist)
Lexie: yeah I do (pouts)
Landon: no you don't (lifts her chin up and looks her in the eyes and leans in to kiss her)
Lexie's pov
This kiss was definitely more passionate then just a peck on the lips, he bit my lip asking for entrance and I let him. Our tongues started fighting for dominance and I jumped and wrapped my legs around his waist and tangled my hands in his hair.

Jaden: (opens the sliding glass door) you two need to breathe at some point!
Lexie: (pulls away and mumbles) every time (looks up) what do you want?
Jaden: foods here
Lexie: okay (gets out of the pool)
Jaden: when the hell did you buy that bikini?
Lexie: when I went shopping with Clare
Jaden: hmm if it mysteriously goes missing don't ask why (walks inside the house)
Lexie: (wraps a towel around herself) I am sixteen!!
Jaden: still too young!
Lexie: ugh I can never win (sits down on a pool chair)
Landon: he's just being protective
Lexie: are you that protective over bama?
Landon: no but that's because if I tried to be protective my dad would just stop me
Lexie: yeah your dad's cool
Landon: maybe a little too cool (sits down next to her)
Lexie: what do you mean?
Landon: don't get me wrong I am really proud of my dad for creating DTA and I am happy that he's with Kourtney but sometimes it feels like he's not even around half the time
Lexie: (lays her head on his shoulder) why didn't you tell me you were feeling that way?
Landon: because I am supposed to be your emotional support remember
Lexie: (lifts her head and looks him in the eyes and holds his hand) we are in a relationship, and as your girlfriend I am supposed to be there for you just as much as you for me okay?
Landon: okay (hugs her)
Lexie's pov
Landon and I laid in the sun for a little bit longer before we were dry enough to go back into the house, and when we walked inside the food was already here.

Lexie: I am going to change upstairs real quick (runs up to her room and takes off the bikini and throws on a light blue hoodie with some matching sweats and walked back downstairs and sat down with everyone)
Thirty minutes later
Lexie's pov
We finished eating and by now Landon has also changed out of his swim shorts and we were cuddling in the living room watching five feet apart and by the end of the movie I was crying.

Landon: babe I don't understand why you watch these movies if they are going to make you cry, plus they didn't even die (wipes her tear)
Lexie: I know but I think that makes it worse (cries)
Landon: why?
Lexie: because they couldn't be together even though they really wanted too (cries)
Landon: (pulls her in for a hug) aw it's okay it's just a movie
(Quinton and cooper walk into the living room)
Cooper: don't tell me five feet apart?
Landon: yeah
Cooper: (shakes his head) she's watched this movie so many times and yet she still cries
Lexie: it's sad (sniffles)
Quinton: yeah it is so stop torturing yourself (sits on the couch) let's watch a scary movie
Cooper: (sits down) bet
Landon: (looks at Lexie) you want to watch a scary movie?
Lexie: sure (wipes her tears and stops sniffling)
Lexie's pov
The next movie we watched was insidious chapter one which was probably the only good one in the series, that and maybe the second one too but afterwards it went downhill. Eventually the movie ended and it was now seven which was still pretty early but Landon's phone started ringing.

Landon: hello... I am at Lexie's... right now? Ugh okay yeah I'll pick her up.. okay see you at the house.. later (hangs up)
Lexie: what happened?
Landon: Bama needs a ride home because the friend who was going to drop her off bailed
Lexie: aw okay, what are you doing tomorrow?
Landon: I have classes all day

Once Landon left the boys started playing cod and I wasn't in the mood to hear them screaming so I left the living room and walked to josh and Jaden's room to see what they were up to and I couldn't find josh but Jaden was sitting down and was live on tik tok which was rare, and he was playing beats and free styling.

Lexie: he's too overprotective and practically interrogates Landon every time he comes over

Lexie: hmm (looks at the comments again) how excited are you for tour?
Jaden: I am siked it's going to so much fun meeting you guys and seeing you face to face (looks at Lexie) what are you mostly excited for?
Lexie: traveling I think getting to see the different states will be cool... do you have a song with nessa coming out? Yeah it's coming soon
Jaden: what advice can you give to people who want to make music? honestly just do it, believe in yourself and don't give up
Lexie: yeah I would say the same thing
(Josh walks into the room)

Josh: okay good to know (walks over to Jaden and sits on his lap and looks at the camera) how long have you guys been together?
Jaden: if we don't count the three month break up that we had almost a year
Josh: yeah pretty much.. are you touring with Jaden? Not full time I am going to visit when I can though
Jaden: do you see a future with josh and do you want more kids... yeah I definitely see a future with josh and eventually yeah we have our hands full with Lexie though (jokes)
Lexie: I am not that bad (whines)
Josh: of course not baby (says sarcastically)
Lexie: (looks at the comments) you see how mean they are to me

Lexie: hmm sure
Jaden: alright guys I think we are going to get off but I'll try and go live again soon and buy your tickets for tour, I can't wait to see you guys

Josh: oh you little (gets off Jaden's lap and starts chasing her)
Lexie: ahhh!!
Jaden: alright I gotta go make sure they don't kill each other bye

Lexie: (stands up) I am going to shower really quick I have chlorine in my hair from earlier

Lexie's pov
I walked out of their room and into mine and grabbed a pair red and black plaid pj's and walked into the bathroom. I turned the shower head on and adjusted the temperature and stepped inside. I washed my body first and then my hair and I was done, I didn't feel like taking a long one because I was tired from today and just wanted to change into my pajamas and sleep. Once I was dressed I quickly blow dried my hair and walked over to josh and Jaden's room, I gave them a hug goodnight and walked over to my bed across the room because I have been trying to sleep there and so far I haven't had nightmares so I call that progress. I laid my head on my pillow and closed my eyes.
