Jaden's pov
I groaned and was ready to curse at whoever was waking me up, I turned towards my night table and unplugged my phone to see kells was calling me so I quickly pressed answer because it had been ringing for a while now.

Jaden: hey Kells what's up
Kells: what are you doing later today?
Jaden: probably take lex to school and then chill at the house why?
Kells: around noon I am going to have a free roof top concert at Venice to celebrate the album and beginning of summer everyone's going to be there are you down to come?
Jaden: yeah you said around noon
Kells: yeah and bring Lexie all the kids are coming too
Jaden: okay I'll talk to lex when she gets up because remember her dance school is a year round school and she's already missed a lot
Kells: so let her go in the morning and pick her up early so she's not counted as absent
Jaden: good idea alright let me get her up and I'll see you at Venice later
Kells: alright later bro
(Jaden puts the phone down and lightly shakes Lexie)
Jaden: hey lex wake up
Lexie: why? (Whines)
Jaden: because I need to ask you something
Lexie: (opens her eyes) what's up?
Jaden: so Kells just invited me to a concert in Venice and I want to know if you want to come
Lexie: what about school?
Jaden: well you can go and I can pick you up early or you can skip
Lexie: competition is literally three weeks away and James and I still don't have the choreo done but I want to go to the concert
Jaden: okay so I'll pick you up early, get ready and eat and then I'll drop you off
Lexie: it's only seven thirty
Jaden: yeah but they are open so you can get more practice in
Lexie: good idea let me ask James to meet up
Jaden: okay
Lexie's pov
I got up from the bed and started walking to the room and towards the closet and pulled out a black sports bra with some pink leggings and put my hair in a bun and then texted James.

James: yeah that's fine do you want me to pick you up?

Lexie's pov
I put my phone in my bag because I know Jaden will let me keep it for school and headed to the living room to see I was the only one in there so I walked into the kitchen and just grabbed some cereal and had that, took my pill and five minutes later Jaden walked in with the keys in his hand.

Jaden: you ate?
Lexie: yup
Jaden: did you take your pills?
Lexie: yup
Jaden: okay let's go
(They leave the house, get in the car and Jaden puts the car in drive)
Lexie: so who's going today?
Jaden: Kells said everyone so I am guessing Cassie, Megan, Travis will obviously be there and I am guessing he'll bring Alabama and Landon, bama's your age actually
Lexie: why haven't I met her yet?
Jaden: she's busy a lot of the time
Lexie: oh and what about Landon?
Jaden: he's seventeen don't even think about it missy
Lexie: I didn't even say anything
Jaden: I know but I also know you so don't even think about it
Lexie: your no fun what happened to the conversation we had the other day?
Jaden: doesn't mean you get to hook up with my manager's son, he's off limits do you understand me?
Lexie: yeah yeah Mr. overprotective
Lexie's pov
I had seen Landon on social media a couple of times and his tik toks have showed up on my for you page a couple times and I'd be lying if I said he wasn't attractive at fuck. His dark black curls and the fact that he always wears a leather jacket makes him look hot. Ugh Lexie stop thinking about it, you need to focus on the choreo so in order to get my mind off Landon I pulled out my phone and started watching what we had so far and five minutes later we pulled up to the school.

Jaden: (smiles) love you too
Lexie's pov
I started walking inside high water and went towards studio number two and saw it was open so I walked inside, texted James that I was here and did a quick warm up that included jumping jacks, jogging in place, body isolations to get each part warmed up, I moved my hips side to side and once I was warmed up enough I started to stretch my legs to make sure I wouldn't pull anything. I was stretching my hamstrings when the door opened and I saw James walk in.

James: good morning
Lexie: morning do you want to stretch before we start?
James: nah I am already warmed up from the jog I had this morning and I stretched right before you called
Lexie: oh okay then let's get right into it (stands up) I was watching the video we had recorded last time and I was thinking you know the part when we are back to back and leaning on each other
James: yeah
Lexie: after that I am going grab onto your arms and stand up on your leg while you hold onto my hand still and I am going to use the momentum to jump off and your going to pick me up and carry me across the floor while legs are wrapped around your waist
James: okay you want to practice it before we run through it?
Lexie: yeah let me just put the music on so you can hear the cues in the song and see how fast it's going to be
James: okay
(Lexie plays the song and they get into position and the next eight counts they do the move)
James: I think we need to split the counts into four instead of eight because as soon as I grab your foot and we transition into the next steps it's fast and if we miss a beat it's going to be obvious
Lexie: good point okay let's go again and count it this time
James: okay
Lexie: (starts doing the move as she's counting) 1,2,3,4 (transitions into the second part) 1,2,3,4 and (James picks her up for the last part of the move)
James: that came out better
Lexie: I agree let's do it with the music now full through
James: okay
Lexie's pov
I started the song from the beginning and we ran through what we had so far and there were a few balancing issues and our technique could be stronger for example our toes pointed and legs straighter the judges are big when it comes to technique and will take points off if they notice it. We were about to continue the next part of the choreo when the door opened and we saw Odalie and her partner... great.

Odalie: do you guys mind practicing out in the hall this room is reserved for real dancers, that wasn't geared towards you James we all know your only Lexie's partner to make her look good
James: lay off Odalie and go to one of the other rooms or go on the other side of the room the studio's big enough, you don't have to be a bitch about it
Odalie: oh so now Lexie has you defending her what are you guys? A couple (scoffs)
Lexie: no it's called human decency something you don't have now like he said we would like to get back to practicing
Odalie: You should just give up no amount of practice is going to result in you winning that requires talent something you don't have
Lexie: you know what I'll remember that the next time you come to my house and you leave in a gurney (starts walking up to her)
James: stop Lex she's not worth it (pulls her back) you get in a fight now, you will for sure be kicked out of the competition and we've worked to hard for that to happen (looks at Odalie) I thought I told you to leave
Odalie: (scoffs) fine whatever let's go (her and her partner leave the room)
Lexie: thanks (looks at James)
James: your welcome and don't let her get under your skin but what did you mean when she goes to your house?
Lexie: she's dating one of the sway boys (rolls her eyes)
James: does he know that she practically bullies you?
Lexie: nope but I have a plan to catch her in the act, if I just tell him he's not going to believe me... she's already got him wrapped around her finger
James: that sucks I am sorry
Lexie: it's whatever come on let's keep practicing
James: okay
Lexie's pov
James and I created the next few four counts because we realized even though the song itself is slow the dance is quick in some parts so the first half of the Choreo are eight counts and the last half are four counts. We were about to start the last couple of counts but the bell rang which meant we had class, James had break dancing and I had to meet Clare, Amy and Dani for hiphop/ reggaeton in moose's class.

Clare: hey girly I have missed you we haven't hung out in so long (sees Lexie and hugs her)
Lexie: I know maybe I can try and convince Jaden if you can sleep over this weekend
Clare: that would be awesome we should have a girls sleepover

Lexie: okay I'll ask Jaden
Moose: alright class listen up today I have a few special guest teachers that are going to be teaching today, they specialize in a dance style called cubaton anyone want to take a guess on what that is?
Camille: Lexie?
Lexie: I am guessing that it's Cuban music influenced with reggaeton
Luke: that's exactly what it is
Natalie: so let me introduce are guest teachers all the way from Miami Jennifer and Andy
Lexie's pov
After Natalie introduced them two people walked into the studio and I automatically recognized Andy because I danced with him in Miami at bayside when we went for New Years! I automatically got excited because I knew today's class was going to be fun.

Andy: thank you moose for that introduction but anyway my name is Andy and this is my partner Jennifer, we specialize in latin dancing and have a studio in Miami and have won first place in multiple competitions and we are so excited to teach a class today so before we start do you have any questions?
(One of the girls raise their hands)
Camille: what's up Brittney?
Brittney: if we live in LA why is Latin dancing so important?
Andy: that's a good question and I'll tell you because if you want to be a good dancer it's good to be versatile in all styles because it'll give you more career options
Natalie: as well as allow you to experience what styles you like and don't like which is why it's good to have school like this where there's ballet, ballroom, hip hop, etc
Brittney: that makes sense
Andy: yeah anyone else have anymore questions?
Lexie's pov
I looked around the room and no one else raised their hands so Andy and Natalie took that as their cue to start teaching the class, we did a quick warm up because it's required in every class and then Andy went to start the music and five minutes into the warm up someone raised their hand.

Student: what if you don't understand the words?
Natalie: good question you hear the beat right?
Student: yeah
Natalie: and as a dancer would you say it's your job to hear the beat and rhythm of the music?
Student: yeah
Natalie: so just feel it, see the best thing about dance is it allows you to communicate without words
Andy: it helps to understand but that comes with time so all you really have to do is let go and feel it, listen to what the music is telling your body to do and don't overthink it
Student: okay
Lexie's pov
After our warm up Andy cut the music and he started showing us some footwork that we were going to be learning for this class and as well as how to style our hands and I have to admit I was picking it up on it quickly and I came to the conclusion that I really love Latin music. Natalie's right you don't have to understand the words because it's the rhythm that takes control anyway and every song so far had such a fun beat to it. The last ten minutes of class he had his improvise so I just closed my eyes and i started moving my shoulders and then my head following the beat and eventually my feet started to join in and I was doing the footwork that he showed us and found myself in my world until the song finished and I opened my eyes to see everyone staring at me.

Clare: what do you mean what, you just killed it better then any of us!
Lexie: I did?
Andy: yeah what's your name?
Lexie: Lexie Hossler
Andy: wait were you in Miami at one point?
Lexie: yeah I didn't think you would recognize me (blushes)
Natalie: are you kidding? I know we didn't get to talk but I saw you jump in with the team and I was questioning on whether or not we had a new student all of a sudden (laughs)
Lexie: thank you (laughs)
Andy: I see you took my advice and joined a studio then
Lexie: more like school but yeah
(Andy was about to respond when the intercom comes on)
Principal Morrison: moose do you have Lexie hossler in your class?
Moose; yeah
Morrison: can you send her to the office she's leaving early
Moose: okay no problem
Morrison: thank you (ends the intercom)
Andy: it was good seeing you again Lexie
Lexie: you too, bye (waves and goes to grab her bag when Clare walks over to her)
Clare: why are you leaving early?
Lexie: MGK's having a concert in Venice and invited Jaden
Clare: luckyyy okay have fun
Lexie: thanks byee (hugs her and walks to the office)
Jaden: hey kiddo ready to go?
Lexie: yup
Jaden: thanks Mr. Morrison for understanding
Morrison: your welcome have a good day
Jaden: you too
Lexie: bye (waves)
(They walk out of the school and get in the car)
Lexie: where's ness?
Jaden: she wasn't feeling well so she's not coming today
Lexie: what about Quinton and cooper?
Jaden: They had a photo shoot
Lexie: oh so it's just us?
Jaden: yup oh I also brought you a bag so you can change when we get there
Lexie: okay thanks
Jaden: (starts driving) how was class today?
Lexie: it was good remember the dance team we saw that time we went to Miami for New Years?
Jaden: yeah
Lexie: well the coaches of that team taught a class today and he recognized me
Jaden: that's cool did he say anything?
Lexie: not really but he was impressed especially because I was the only one that picked up the moves so quick and I got the whole class looking at me (smiles and blushes)
Jaden: (smiles) that's my girl I am proud of you
Lexie: thanks can we call Joshy and tell him?
Jaden: yeah go for it
(Lexie pulls out her phone and facetime's josh)

Josh: lex please tell me your not in any trouble at school
Lexie: no I got picked up early say hey J
Jaden: hey josh (smiles at him)
Josh: nicee where are you guys off too?
Lexie: MGK is having a concert on the beach but that's not what I wanted to tell you
Josh: what did you want to tell me?
(Lexie tells him what happened in the class)
Josh: that's awesome baby I am happy you had a good morning while you were there
Lexie: yeah it was really fun, what are you doing?
Josh: I am about to do a meeting with mark so I'll call you tonight okay?
Lexie: okay love you
Josh: love you too

Jaden: hey lex you want to sneak peak of tell me about tomorrow while we drive
Lexie: you have it finished!?
Jaden: yup and I have some of the tracks on my phone
Lexie: okay play it

A few minutes later
Lexie: maybe it's time that I let you go, you are planning on keeping your distance I am asking myself why the fuck would I miss this, I am going through all the memories we had and it's all bad
Jaden: I am through, I have had enough, I am giving up, love is dead and I don't trust anyone
Lexie: she asked me what sign is, then I felt my heart drop into my chest, now I am sitting here wishing we never met, you are planning on keeping your distance
Jaden: I am asking myself why the fuck would I miss this, I am going through the memories we had and it's all bad

Lexie: not going to lie to you J that song goes hard
Jaden: yeah you like it?
Lexie: definitely and not just because it's about Mads
Jaden: (laughs and shakes his head) shut up
Lexie's pov
We pulled up to Venice beach and Jaden parked behind the building so we could try and avoid paparazzi as much as possible, I grabbed the bag Jaden brought me from the back and we started walking inside the building and the first thing I did was head to the bathroom because I didn't want to meet anyone in just a sports bra and leggings. When I opened my bag and sighed in relief that Jaden brought a decent enough outfit. It was mint green halter crop top with a pair of low waisted shorts and sandals, I left my hair in a ponytail and met Jaden in the hall where he was leaning against the wall scrolling through his phone.

Lexie: yeah

Lexie's pov
We took the elevator to the rooftop and when we got there there was already a lot of people including Addison who I haven't seen since her and Bryce broke up so I left Jaden and ran up to her and wrapped my arms around her. At first she was surprised but then she saw it was me and she hugged back and then looked over at Jaden and gave him a hug too.

Lexie: good how are you we haven't seen you in a while
Addison: I know I have been busy kind of doing my own thing you know
Lexie: yeah I understand that
Jaden: lex come on there's some people I want you to meet
Addison: wait let me introduce her to a few people
Jaden: okay I am going to say hi to Travis and kells
Lexie: okay
(Addison walks over towards Kourtney)
Addison: hey Kourt this is Jaden's little sister Lexie
Kourtney: hi it's nice to finally meet you (smiles)
Lexie: you too (says politely and then looks at Addison) I am going to go towards Jaden now
Addison: okay (smiles)
Lexie's pov
It's not that I didn't like Kourtney even though I am not really a fan of the kardashians it's just awkward being around Addison after the breakup. She didn't really text me after the breakup and I thought she would have at least tried to stay in contact with me since we were getting close but I guess that's not the case, I found Jaden talking with Kells so I walked over to them.

Cassie: Lexie! (Runs over and hugs her)

Lexie's pov
Cassie led me towards the back of the rooftop but not to far away from the stage and towards two kids who I automatically recognized as Travis' kids.

Alabama: welcome to the kids club (smirks)
Landon: it's nice to finally meet you I kept wondering when Jaden was going to bring you around (pulls her in for a hug)

Lexie: yeah you too?
Bama: yeah we are going to be the best of friends
Landon: chill Bama don't scare her away (jokes)
Lexie: trust me if anyone is going to scare anyone it's probably going to me scaring you guys away
Cassie: not true, she's really nice I promise guys
Lexie: your so sweet Cassie
Jaden: Lexie come here! (Waves her over)
Lexie: be right back big brother calls (stands up and walks over to him) what's up
Jaden: Avril this is my sister Lexie she was a huge fan when she was younger
Lexie: oh yeah sure I was the fan, wasn't you that said she looked hot in the girlfriend music video
Avril: (laughed) she exposed you Jaden

I walked back over to where Cassie, Landon and Alabama were sitting and we started talking and getting to know each other more.

Lexie: what do you mean?
Bama: your brother is going on tour with kell's and Travis was it not announced yet?
Lexie: I don't know he hasn't told me anything
Cassie: good going Landon
Landon: sorry I thought you knew

Lexie's pov
After that the conversation kind of died down but thankfully the concert was starting so we just sat and watched but I couldn't help thinking about what Landon said, why didn't Jaden tell me he's going on tour with MGK? Is he planned on leaving me alone again? Is ness coming with us? Was he just planning on dropping me off at Josh's house and leaving me with a note again? I could feel my anxiety get triggered and my breathing increased.

Landon: Lexie are you okay?
(Lexie doesn't respond)
Bama: shit she's having an anxiety attack, Lexie breathe
(Lexie doesn't respond and her breathing increases)
Landon: shit I am going to get Jaden (walks on stage and pulls Jaden aside after he sings my Ex's girlfriend with kells)
Jaden: what's going on?
Landon: lex is having a panic attack (points at her)
Jaden: shit thanks bro (jogs over to her) Lexie what's wrong?
Lexie: I I c can't b b
Jaden: hey it's okay (pulls her away from everyone and hugs her) just copy my breathing yeah?
(Lexie nods her head and and does what Jaden says until she's calmed down)
Lexie: when were you going to tell me you were going on tour with MGK? (Looks at him) were you just planning on leaving me again? Was I going to wake up one morning at the sway house and a stupid note (cries)
Jaden: what? Baby no no of course not (holds her) who told you about the tour?
Lexie: Landon but that's not the point why didn't you tell me?
Jaden: (sighs) I was going to tell you along with josh when the time was right and it's not for a few more months so you have no reason to worry about it yet (wipes her tears)
Lexie: what's going to happen? (Looks at him)
Jaden: I don't know yet but I promise we will figure it out okay? I need you to trust me alright
Lexie: as long as you promise your not leaving me again
Jaden: I promise (kisses the top of her head) come on let's enjoy the rest of the concert
Lexie: okay
Ten minutes later
MGK: okay so for my next song I am going to need someone to help me sing halsey's part (waves his hand over to Lexie)
(Lexie shakes her head rapidly and kell's smirks)
Mgk: guys she's going to need a little encouragement can you guys help me
(Fans start screaming and Lexie shakes her head again)
Megan: go lex (gently pushes her into the stage)
Lexie: okay okay I guess you guys win (takes the second mike) I have wasted so much time waiting around for you phone calls every night, my bad dreams are silk screens cause I taste blood when you bleed it's eating me alive, we both be better off alone still think I'd get you on the phone with one last breath I'd die before I let you leave! You left before I woke up why don't I ever see you sober, you want me to forget you okay forget time too you tell me you hate me baby yeah I bet you do, I'm keeping you waiting but I won't wait on you, you want me to forget you okay forget me too
Mgk: hey you tell me why you do the things that make me hate you

Lexie's pov
That was an adrenaline rush I forgot all about the anxiety attack I had moments ago it was like a switch went off in me and I just let the music take over and the energy of the crowd it was a rush and I understand why Jaden likes it so much. After the song Kells gave me a hug and I sat back down and bama gave me a high five while Landon said I killed it. MGK finished the rest of the concert and then we waited until the crowd died down before we left so we wouldn't be mobbed.

Travis: who's down to go eat now?
MGK: sure Boa?
Jaden: I am down
Bama: lex want to ride with us?
Lexie: uh (looks over at Jaden)
Jaden: you can go if you want
Lexie: okay sounds fun

Lexie's pov
I followed Travis, Kourtney, bama and Landon to their car and the three of us sat in the back. Not going to lie I felt a little awkward just because I have only been around Travis and so to be in the car with him and his family was a little intimidating. That was until Travis blasted the music and we all started singing to Rock music and laughing, I caught myself looking at Landon a few times he was plain black t shirt with a pair of ripped jeans, black leather jacket and had a few cross necklaces on along with a few chains, he had rings on his fingers that made him look more attractive somehow and right before I was going to look away he caught me and smirked. I looked away blushing and he put his hand on my thigh but still kept vibing to the music as if nothing was happening so I did the same until we pulled up to boa. I sat in between Jaden and Landon with Bama across from me and we found ourselves in our own conversation while Jaden and Landon talked too until the waitress came to take our order and I didn't have a clue what to get so I looked at Jaden to help me.

Jaden: she's going to split a steak with me and just get her a lemonade
Waitress: okay coming right up
Jaden's pov
I could tell lex was nervous to eat in front of them because we've only ever been to Boa with the boys and I didn't want her anxiety triggered anymore than it had been tonight so I decided the best thing was for us to split a meal. Landon started talking to the girls and I found myself talking to Kells and Travis about the upcoming tour and when we were going to announce it.

Kells: I was thinking we announce it in the next couple of days, after today the fans will be hyped up
Travis: yeah what do you think Jaden?
Jaden: sounds good to me but let me tell the boys first I don't want them finding out through social media
Travis: are you going to want Jaden to come on tour?
Kells: which would be fine by the way
Jaden: I mean I would like him too but it depends on what he's got going on the good thing is I am going to have days off in between to come down so I am not too worried about the person I am worried about is Lexie
Travis: bring her, bama and Landon are coming
Jaden: I don't know how she's going to react being away from josh and the boys has effected her I can't imagine what tour would look like
Kells: J you know touring was going to happen eventually so why are you so nervous now?
Jaden: because it's becoming a reality, you know I always knew that I would have to figure it out when we crossed that bride, well now we are at the bridge and I am worried
Travis: look man all I am going to say is the boys are your family and family is going to be there no matter the distance just remember that
Jaden: yeah your right
Lexie's pov
I overheard the conversation the boys where having while Cassie was talking to bama and Landon about something and I tried to calm down and not think about it as much and a few minutes later the food came. Jaden handed me a plate with some steak and fries and I managed to eat a majority of it before claiming I was full and Jaden didn't push me. After everyone finished we said goodnight and goodbye and started driving home but halfway through the drive my eyes started to feel heavy and I fell asleep with my head leaning against the window.

I pulled up to the house and looked over to see lex asleep so I went around to her side and picked her up and she let out a whine but wrapped her legs around my waist as I carried her inside the house and upstairs to the room. She was too tired to change so I quickly pulled her crop top off and put on one of my hoodie that went down her her knees and then took her shorts off and she curled into a ball. I took a quick shower and then got in the bed and pulled the covers over both of us and closed my eyes.
