Chapter 90

Saturday
(Lexie fell into little little space during the middle of the night and wakes up crying)
Josh: (opens his eyes) shh shh lex it's okay did you have a nightmare? (Picks her up and wipes her tears)
Lexie's pov
Dada picked me up and tarted to calm me down and I twied to tell him about da mean mommy and daddy who show up in my dweams but when I ty to talk noting came out so I got upset and tarted cwying gain.

Josh: shh baby it's okay no more crying okay? I know what will make you feel better, how about a bottle?
(Lexie stops crying and looks at him and then looks at the bottle on the nightstand and makes grabby hands for it)
Josh: I knew that would cheer you up, okay come on let's go see if there's milk in the hotel restaurant (picks up the bottle and walks out of the room with lex on his hip)
Five minutes later
Jaden's pov
I opened my eyes and the first thing I notice was I was alone in the room which was weird because that usually doesn't happen, but I figured lex was probably in the lobby with lex or something so I just grabbed my phone and started looking for something to do today. After looking at my phone I saw that they had a zoo here that looked pretty cool and lex would probably enjoy it so I bought three tickets and when I was done the door opened and I saw josh walking into the room with Lexie on his hip and a bottle in his hand which told me lex was in little space.

Jaden: good morning loves (walks over to josh and pecks him on the lips)
Lexie: (gurgles and makes grabby hands towards Jaden)
Jaden: oh so this one is in little little space (takes her from josh) you want your bottle?
(Lexie smiles and tries to grab it from Jaden)
Jaden: I'll give it to you baby it's okay (adjusts her position in his arms and cradles her, starts giving her the bottle and Lexie starts sucking on it so Jaden looks up at josh)
Jaden: so I was thinking we go to the zoo today?
Josh: yeah that sounds fun, I can't remember the last time I actually went to a zoo though
Jaden: neither can I which is why I want to go plus Lexie would like it, (looks down at her when she's done with a bottle) wouldn't you?
Lexie: (just smiles at him)
Josh: you want me to stay with her while you get ready?
Jaden: yeah here (passes Lexie to josh, grabs some clothes and walked into the bathroom)
Josh's pov
While Jaden was showering I wanted to test out how old lex was in little space so I took out a few of her toys, her stuffed cat and dog, a few blocks and a pink and blue Play mat we got her a long time ago when we realized she slips into little little space but haven't used it yet. When everything was on the floor I put Lexie on the floor but as soon as she stood up her knees gave out and she sat on the floor, okay so she definitely can't walk right now, noted. I looked over to see her about to fall from her sitting down but before she could hit the head on the carpet I caught her, so no standing or sitting so I decided to lay her down on the play mat because that sounded like the safest option.

Lexie's pov
Dada lay me down on this soft squishy thing and when I look up I saw colorful things hanging from the top, I weach my hand over and grab it and it made a crunchy sound and felt weird in my fingers. I weach for anoder one but dis ones squishy, my hands played with the colorful things for a little but then I got bored and rolled over on my tummy and saw a box looking thing with colorful buttons, so I click on one of them and it made a noise! I click on another one and it made a different noise! I click on da third one and another noise came out, I gasped and clapped my hands and kept clicking the buttons.

A few minutes later
Jaden's pov
When I got out of the shower I saw the cutest little thing lex was playing on her play mat and josh was laying on the carpet with her and pressing the toy piano keys with her and every time lex clapped her hands josh smiled and I couldn't help but smile after that either.

Jaden: okay my turn with the baby (sits on the carpet)
Josh: okay (stands up from the carpet)
Lexie's pov
I watch dada start walking away which made me sad because he was paying with me so I tart cwying and making grabby hands for him.

Jaden: hey hey it's okay he's just going to go shower he'll be back in ten minutes, look I'll play with you
( Jaden presses on one of the buttons on the keyboard but Lexie keeps crying)
Jaden's pov
I picked her up from the play mat and started bouncing her on my hip trying to calm her down and two minutes later it did, so I was about to lay her back on the play mat but she wasn't having it and gripped onto my t shirt. I decided she wasn't about to let me go so I just sat on the floor with her in my lap and leaned over and grabbed one of the blocks and passed a few over to her. She grabbed one of them off the carpet and the first thing she did was try and put it in her mouth.

Jaden: no baby we don't put that in our mouth, here you can have this (puts the pacifier in her mouth)
Lexie's pov
Bubba put da paci in my mouth and I suck on it and pay with da blocks until I felt my eyes get heavy and I close my eyes and fall asleep on bubba's chest.

Jaden's pov
I looked down and realized lex had fallen asleep so I picked her up and put her on the bed and five minutes later josh came out with a white T-shirt that had a fruit basket on it with some black sweats and two chains around his neck. Not going to lie he looked hot with the chains but the fruit basket t shirt killed it and I couldn't help but start laughing.

Josh: what?
Jaden: a fruit basket really babe
Josh: it's a vibe
Jaden: sure it is, still look hot with the chains though
Josh: thank you (looks over at lex) when did she fall asleep?
Jaden: five minutes ago so I figured we could order room service, eat and then wake her up
Josh: yeah sounds good, I'm going to make a TikTok since I haven't posted in a couple days
Jaden: go for it
Josh's pov
I propped my phone against the night table and stood in front of the bed and could still see Jaden and lex in the frame. I chose the audio laugh now, cry later and just lip synced a few of the lyrics and did some hand movements, while Jaden looked up from the hotel phone and used his other hand to move it and then did a peace sign, and then ended the TikTok and posted it with the caption "vacay with the fam." I put my phone down and lay down on the bed and when Jaden was done ordering the food I leaned over and pecked him on the lips.

Jaden: come cuddle with me, we'll move lex a little to the edge so there's more space
Josh: okay (gets off his side of the bed and walks over to Jaden and wraps his arms around his waist)
A few minutes later
Jaden: so I was going to wait till we got home to have this conversation but now is probably a good time
Josh: (looks up at him) your not breaking up with me are you Jaden because I swear
Jaden: no god no baby I just got you back no way in hell would I be doing that
Josh: okay then whatever it is just tell me
Jaden: Kells asked me to go on tour with him in a couple months and Travis texted me this morning that the album is doing so good we might just have a tell me about tomorrow tour on top of going on tour with kells
Josh: Okay well first I just want to say that's sick as fuck and two I am so proud of you babe, you wanted to become a rockstar and your doing it just like I knew you would
Jaden: thanks babe but you know what that means right (holds his hand)
Josh: yeah and we'll figure it out okay? Just like we always do
Jaden: and what about lex? We already know how it went down when we separated from each other, plus she has dance and I don't want to take that away from her
Josh: do you want her to stay with me in LA?
Jaden: I don't think she would want to be away from me that long
Josh: so we fly and see you every weekend Friday to Sunday
Jaden: your going to fly every weekend? Does that sound reasonable josh
Josh: okay well then we go on tour with you and then I'll fly to LA whenever I have too, besides it's not for another couple months we don't have to decide right now
Jaden: yeah your right I just don't want to make the wrong decision
Josh: hey whatever decision we end up making it'll be the three of us alright, it'll be our decision because we are a family
Jaden: yeah your right, I love you (smiles at him)
Josh: I love you too (pecks him on the lips)
Fifteen minutes later
Knock knock
Lexie: bubba (groans)
Josh: that's the food I'll get it while you wake her up
Jaden: okay (starts lightly shaking Lexie)
Lexie: no bubba
Jaden: baby you gotta wake up I got you chocolate chip pancakes
Lexie: yay! (Claps her hands)
(Josh comes back with the food)
Lexie: Choco pancake dada!
Josh: yeah give me a second and I'll give it to you okay?
Lexie: otay
Jaden: oh baby just so I know how old are you right now?
Lexie: I five
Jaden: okay
Lexie's pov
A few minutes later dada hand me my pancakes and a fork and I start eating and drinking my orange juice. After we ate I had to go potty and when I finished I washed my hands and walk out of da bathroom to see bubba and dada looking through my pink suitcase.

Jaden: baby you want to wear this? (Holds up a cheetah print dress with some matching sneakers)
Lexie: otay
(Lexie walks over and grabs the dress and changes in the bathroom and walks back out)
Lexie: bubba can you do my hair?
Jaden: yeah come here princess (grabs her hairbrush and two hair bands)
Lexie: no I want matching bow (points at it)
Jaden: okay
Josh's pov
When Jaden was done doing her hair and put the bow in we couldn't help but take pictures she looked so cute and we sent them to the boys in the family group chat.

Anthony: she looks like a baby tiger!!
Griffin: so cute, I am putting this as my wallpaper
Bryce: if big lex saw this she would kill us
Quinton: shh don't jinx it
Noah: how long has she been in little space for?
Josh: since she woke up and I have a feeling she's going to stay in it the whole day, after the chaos that happened last night and the day before, her mind and body need it
Blake: what happened last night?
Josh: long story but the short version is saw their parents and it wasn't pretty
Griffin: FaceTime us later with details, where are you guys going today?
Josh: the zoo, Jaden's calling valet which is why he's not texting
Bryce: oh okay well have fun and take more pictures!
Josh: haha okay we'll FaceTime you tonight later guys

( a few minutes later they are in the car driving)
Lexie: bubba where we going?
Jaden: the zoo
Lexie: what's da zoo?
Josh: it's where your going to see lots of animals
Lexie: otay!
Five minutes later
Lexie: bubba are we there yet?
Jaden: not yet, here play on your phone (passes it to her)
Lexie: I no want that, boring
Josh: okay with your stuffy's (passes her the cat and dog)
Lexie: otay
(Starts playing with them and creating voices until they Jaden parks the car)
Jaden: we are here
Lexie: dat was fast!
Josh: that's because you were playing, come on let's go (gets out of the car and opens her door)
Lexie: help (holds her hands out)
Josh: I got you (unclips her seatbelt and picks her up) babe we should probably look for one of the strollers or something because I am not carrying her the whole time
Jaden: yeah I already got that figured it out
(They walk to the entrance and Jaden shows the tickets to worker through the email and let's them through and they walk towards the gift shop)
Josh: hi, I was just wondering how much is it for a stroller?
Worker: well it depends on the size, if it's for her I would recommend the big one which is about thirty bucks
Jaden: that's fine (hands her his card)
Lexie's pov
Dada put me in the troller with my kitty and doggy on either side of me and bubba pushed it to da first animals which were da slow turtles and then we saw a guy holding a lizard thingy in his hand so we walked over because dada want to touch it.

Josh: do you want to touch it lex?
Lexie: no cary Dino
Jaden: (laughs) it's not a dinosaur babe it's a what is it (looks at the handler)
Handler: a skink, it's not going to do anything she's very sweet (bends down to Lexie)
Lexie: no bubba get away it cary (hides her head in her stuffed kitty)
Josh: okay okay, sorry about that man
Handler: it's okay, have fun today
Jaden: thanks have a good day
Lexie's pov
Dada took da stroller now and we were getting away from da scary Dino lizard and we kept walking until I saw a lizard that looked da one from Jessie!

Lexie: bubba look it's miss kipping! (Points at it)
Bubba: yeah you want to get closer to it?
Lexie: no no no kipping cary in person
Josh: okay well then let's go to some animals that aren't scary okay?
Lexie: otay
Five minutes later
Lexie: doggy!! (Points at it)
(They walk closer to it)
Jaden: it's an African wild dog
Lexie: it looks funny with da spots
Jaden: yeah come on let's keep going
Ten minutes later
Lexie: cheetah!!!! (Points at it) bubba we need picture I matching!!
Josh: okay (looks around and taps someone on the shoulder) excuse me do you mind taking a picture of the three of us?
?: (turns around) omg your josh Richards!
Josh: (laughs) yeah so I'll make you a deal, you take a pic with us and then we'll do a selfie
?: yeah no problem!
Jaden: thank you so much, what's your name?
?: ocean my parents wanted to name me that because I was born on a cruise
Lexie: dats so cool!
Ocean: thank you Lexie (smiles) I like your cheetah dress
Lexie: thank you!
Jaden's pov
I smiled watching the fan interact with Lexie in little space because I don't think we've been out in public like this with her being in little space but I appreciated how kind ocean was being. She took the picture of us and then we took a picture with her and I handed her phone back.

Ocean: thank you so much, and for the record I just want to say lex is adorable she doesn't deserve all the hate she gets
Josh: thank you, your the first fan to be nice to her in public like this in a while, we appreciate it
Ocean: no problem, I gotta go catch up with my family but it was so nice meeting you guys, bye Lexie
Lexie: bye (waves at her)
(Ocean walks away and they keep walking)
A few minutes later
Lexie: why does Bambi look different? (Looks at josh and Jaden with her head tilted)
Josh: that's because she's a klipspinger
Lexie: a what??
Jaden: it just means she looks Bambi but she's not because she isn't a deer
Lexie: oh otay, her fur is still pretty though
Josh: yeah
Lexie's pov
We kept wooking at da animals incuding da lion tiger and now we were coming across an animal dat looked like king Julian!

Josh: a lemur
Lexie: it's cute, can we have one?
Jaden: (laughs) no baby they aren't pets plus kitty and buddy would get jealous
Lexie: true, kitty wants all da attention (shakes her head)
Jaden: (laughs) let's go miss drama queen
Lexie: I not drama queen! (Crosses her arms)
Josh: no of course not
Lexie: dats what I thought
Josh's pov
We had been walking around the Zoo for a good two hours since it was pretty big if I am being honest, lex was still in little space and enjoying every second of it which I was happy about because she needed a day where there was no drama involved, nothing to worry about and Jaden and I needed it too. We walked for a little longer before we decided to stop for lunch.

Josh: I'll order what do you want?
Jaden: a cheeseburger with a coke and fries, and for lex get her chicken nuggets fries and an apple juice
Lexie: no I want icee!! (Points at the icee maker)
Josh: okay what flavor?
Lexie: cherry
Josh: okay I'll be right back (walks over to kiosk)
Jaden: (looks at Lexie) are you having fun princess?
Lexie: yeah
Jaden: what's your favorite animal so far?
Lexie: lemur! What about you bubba?
Jaden: the lion was pretty cool
Lexie: yeah I like simba too
Jaden: your just naming the animals from Disney movies aren't you?
Lexie: yeah except the raffe, his name is George the rafee
Jaden: you mean George the giraffe?
Lexie: dat's what I say bubba
Jaden: okay miss sassy sorry
Lexie: I forgive you (makes grabby hands to him)
Jaden: what?
Lexie: out
Jaden: you want to get out?
Lexie: yeah
Jaden: okay (picks her up and sits her on his lap)
Lexie's pov
Dada came back with da food and I got Dino nuggies! I grabbed one and dip into da ketchup and tarted eating and drinking my icee.

Josh: lex you have icee all over you (grabs a wipe)
Lexie: oops (keeps drinking it)
Jaden: okay I think that's enough for now finish your last two chicken nuggets
Lexie: otay (grabs a chicken nugget)
Jaden's pov
Once we were done eating and we started walking around again lex was getting fussy because she wanted to walk so josh put her down and she started running around in this little water area that the zoo had.

Jaden: you know she's hyper now because of the sugar rush right?
Josh: yeah but look at her, she happy playing and running around
Jaden: yeah she is (smiles) should we FaceTime the boys, they are going to want to see this
Josh: I'll just send them a video, they are all busy today?
Jaden: oh okay
Lexie's pov
I was jumping from puddle to puddle for a little while until bubba told me it was time to go look for more animals so I ran over to them and got back in the troller and bubba pushed it now.

Lexie: dats what I said!
Josh: you said, you know what never mind okay
Jaden: (laughs) she said the same thing to me when we were having lunch, I figured there was no point in arguing with her

(They get to the bird sanctuary)
Lexie: hey bubba
Jaden: yeah
Lexie: isn't dat da bird dat brings da babies to mommies and daddies (points at a stork)
Jaden: yeah why?
Lexie: don't da birds only bring them to mommies and daddies who want babies?
Josh: where are you going with this lex?
Lexie: why did da bird bing me if mommy and daddy didn't want me?
(Jaden and josh look at each other and are quiet for a minute before Jaden looks at her)
Jaden: well you know the stork doesn't just listen to the mommies and daddies
Lexie: they don't?
Jaden: no they also listen to big brothers and sisters too, and you want to know what?
Lexie: what?
Jaden: I wanted a little sister and that turned out to be you and I love you so much okay?
Lexie: otay, what about you dada (looks at josh)
Josh: you and Jaden are the best thing to happen to my life, please don't forget that Lexie whether your little or big, you came into my life and now that your in it, I wouldn't want it any other way
Lexie: otay, I love you dada
Josh: I love you too (kisses the top of her head)
Jaden's pov
I don't think I have ever wanted to punch two more people more then my own parents for making lex feel like that and the shittiest part is I couldn't tell her she was wrong because whether she's big or little she knows things, so I just came up with the best answer I could come up with on the spot. We walked around for a little bit longer until lex said she was tired and since it was already four we decided to just call it a day and go back to the hotel room. On the way there lex fell asleep again and once we got to the hotel josh and I just watched whatever was on Netflix till lex woke up.

Lexie: how long was I asleep for?
Josh: like an hour, you've been in little space pretty much the whole day
Lexie: that explains the fuzzy feeling I have in my head right now, what are you guys watching?
Josh: Rick and Morty
Lexie: cool I am going to go shower (gets off the bed and looks at her outfit) what the fuck am I wearing and why do I have a bow!?
Jaden: told you, you were in little space all day
Lexie: ugh little Lexie needs to learn to dress better (walks over to her suitcase and grabs some clothes and then walks into the bathroom)
Josh: it was nice while it lasted (lays his head on Jaden's chest)
Jaden: (laughs) yeah now teenage lex is back
Lexie's pov
I set the temperature to hot and soaked in the water for a little bit before washing my hair and my body, got out, dried myself and threw on a pair of black sweats and a pink long sleeve and walked out of the bathroom and cuddled with the boys and watched Rick and Morty until it was time for dinner, and since we had room service for breakfast the boys thought it would be better for us to eat dinner by the pool since they had a restaurant there. I didn't really feel like getting all dressed up considering I was super comfortable so I kept the sweats and threw on a t shirt and we walked to the restaurant and I just had penne pasta with marinara and the boys had a chicken Marsala. When we finished dinner we just went back up to the hotel room, cuddled and fell asleep watching Rick and Morty.
