Chapter 22

Wednesday
(Lex is sleeping but she feels a shake on shoulder and opens her eyes)
Lexie: what (whines)
Jaden: you got to get up remember you have a girls day with Addi today
Lexie: okay five more minutes and I'll get up
Jaden: okay
Lexie's pov
Five minutes later josh told me I had to wake up so I eventually got myself out of bed and walked to my room to take a shower since that would probably help me wake up. I took off my pajama's and got in the shower and let the hot water run down my skin which felt amazing, I felt truly relaxed for the first time in a while and my mind wasn't rushing with thoughts for once I was just able to be in total relaxation mode. After a few minutes I washed myself and my hair and got out and decided to blow dry it and curl it, then I did some light makeup and walked over to my closet and picked out a mint green floral top with some black ripped jeans and some high top vans with an oversized hoodie even though it's LA you can never go wrong with a hoodie. I decided to at least dress "appropriate" today because I know Addi has an image in public and I don't want to ruin that for her, once I was sure I was ready I grabbed my purse, phone and headphones and walked downstairs where the boys were in the kitchen drinking protein shakes as usual.

Bryce: wait a second guys is that Lexie actually dressed in something appropriate for once quick someone get a picture
Lexie: shut it Bruce or I'll tell Addi to break up with you
Bryce: you wouldn't
Lexie: try me
Noah: you look cute though lex I like the top
Lexie: thanks when is Addi supposed to get here?
Bryce: she just texted saying she's on her way (looking at his phone)
Griffin: how are you feeling about going out in public since the scandal?
Lexie: what do you mean? I have been out in public already
Noah: yeah but not like shopping or out in the streets where paparazzi can find you...
Lexie: oh I didn't think of that to be honest
Jaden: don't worry you'll be fine and if your not you can always tell Addison to drop you back off
Lexie: okay
Josh: are you gonna eat with us or her?
Bryce: Addi said she'll take lex out for breakfast and lunch so just wait for her
Lexie: okay sounds good
Blake: we are gonna go work out but let us know when your leaving
Lexie: okay
Lexie's pov
The boys walked out of the kitchen and headed to the backyard while I walked into the living room and turned the tv on and went to freeform and watched secret life of an American teenager, now before you come at me for it being an "old show" it was a damn good one and Ricky was fine as hell okay that's all I got to say. I was able to finish one episode before I heard a knock on the door so I stood up from the couch and walked over to open it.

Addison: hey Lexie (smiles and hugs her)
Lexie: hey Addi (smiles)
Addison: where are the boys?
Lexie: in the backyard come on
(Lexie and Addison walk to the backyard and the boys are lifting weights)
Bryce: hey babe (puts the weight down and walks over to her and kisses her)
Addison: hey sexy
Josh: SIMPS!!
Bryce: shut up josh, I don't even care anymore my beautiful girlfriend is here (pecks her on the lips again)
Lexie: alright love birds break it up or we are never leaving this place
Addison: (laughs) she has a point
Jaden: bring my sister back in one piece please
Addison: oh please if anyone's going to break her it's you or one of the boys
Lexie: that is very true
Anthony: alright you girls get out it's guys time
Kio: wait does that mean you aren't going to hang out with Avani today (mock gasps)
Ant: no she's filming with someone for her show today
Josh: you hear that boys we get Anthony back for another day!
Lexie: come on add's let's get out of here before they start to rub off on us
Addison: good idea have a good day boys
Lexie's pov
Addison kissed Bryce one more time and then we left the house and got in her car, we turned the radio on and let the windows down so we could feel the LA breeze in our face and for the second time today I felt relaxed which never happens.

Addison: so I was thinking we could go to this nice breakfast place by the beach what do you think?
Lexie: sounds great, thanks for doing this Addi I appreciate it
Addison: no problem I figured you could use some time away from the boys and I know your closest to me then the other girls
Lexie: yeah I don't know I trust you more I guess
Addison: so any boys catch your eye yet?
Lexie: (blushes) no
Addison: that's such a lie tell me!
Lexie: okay you know Brandon Rowland..
Addison: hunter's younger brother?
Lexie: yeah he's really hot (laughs)
Addison: ahh!! I knew it by the way you were looking at him at the pool, you guys would be super cute
Lexie: I don't know if he even likes me like that though plus I heard he's got something going on with Rachel girl on TikTok and heard she used to be a fan I can't compete with that
Addison: well you know I always say if something is meant to happen it will
Lexie: is that the way you think of you and Bryce?
Addison: yeah but I know we are meant to be I can feel it no matter what obstacles we go through we've always been able to work it out
Lexie: I am happy for you guys
Addison: thanks babes
Lexie's pov
We got to the beach and Addison parked the car and we started walking to this restaurant that was right by the water which looked so clear and beautiful, I felt the sand in my toes as I walking up to the restaurant and it looked pretty deserted to me thank god because I didn't want to deal with fans or paparazzi right now. We walked inside and the hostess led us to a table and we took a few pics that Addi posted and tagged me and I just liked the pic and put my phone down because I didn't want to read the comments and get triggered. A few minutes later the waitress walks up to us and asks us what we want to drink and I just say a water while Addi gets an ice tea.

Addison: so how was Orlando, did you have fun?
Lexie: yeah (fake smiles)
Addison: what happened?
Lexie: what do you mean it was a lot of fun
Addison: I can notice a fake smile when I see one so tell me what's really up
Lexie: well I am sure you saw the fight on TikTok room right?
Addison: yeah but Bryce told me they deserved it
Lexie: yeah they did but that's not all that happened...
Addison: what else happened?
Lexie: if I tell you... you have to promise not to tell the boys I don't want them to worry about me anymore then they already are
Addison: okay I promise I won't tell them
Lexie: I had a few bullies from my old school show up at Island's when the boys went on a ride and I stayed back and they recognized me...
Addison: did they say something to you?
Lexie: yeah and then she slapped me and I know I could have defended myself but you know how there are those people that just know how to hit your weak spot to make you feel defenseless?
Addison: yeah a few haters actually but then I try to just remind myself that they aren't right and get out of that headspace
Lexie: I wish it were that easy I just stay in it and then I get in my head... actually this is the first time where I am not in my head and actually present with you for the first time in a while
Addison: well I am glad I can distract you for the day (smiles)
Lexie: your nice... I am not used to that
Addison: is that why you put up a front in front of the guys and girls in public?
Lexie: yeah it's a defensive thing but for some reason I don't have that with you
Addison: good I don't want you to feel like you have to have walls with me
Lexie: it might take a while for me to completely be myself around you though
Addison: it's a good thing I am patient then
(The waitress walks over to them)
Waitress: hi have you had a chance to look over your menus? What would you guys like to eat?
Lexie: I think I am gonna have the Cesar salad please
Addison: for breakfast?
Lexie: technically it's twelve now so brunch
Addison: fair enough I'll have the Belgian waffles
Waitress: okay coming right up (walks away)
Scene change
(The boys are at the house and have just finished working out so they go inside and josh takes out his laptop)
Josh: I am gonna book the tickets now before they get sold out or something
Jaden: okay I'll just cash app you the money for the tickets
Josh: don't worry about it I got you guys
Jaden: josh no at least let me pay half of it then
Josh: fine whatever only because I know you aren't going to stop and I'll be at the computer fighting with you for thirty minutes
Blake: wait a minute Jae you and lex are gonna go to Canada with josh?
Jaden: yeah we talked about it last night and decided that's what we are gonna do for Christmas
Blake: aw next thing you know the three of you are gonna go on family trips
Kio: yeah and josh and Jaden will be the married couple with a delinquent teenage daughter (laughs)
Griffin: nah she's still sway's daughter and I don't remember sharing her (laughs)
Bryce: please did you see the way she cuddled with Addi and I last night she's ours
Noah: so this is what it's come to, we've become the guys that talk about our kid even though she's not our kid
Josh: yeah pretty much (finishes booking the ticket) what about you Q? Are you going back home too?
Quinton: no I am actually gonna spend Christmas with Cyn and her family
Griffin: so things are getting pretty serious with you two huh?
Quinton: yeah I think I am gonna get her a diamond necklace for Christmas and engraved in the back it's gonna say I love you
Kio: aww have you told each other you loved each other yet?
Quinton: no it'll be the first time
Blake: how romantic (mocks)
Quinton: shut up when your totally in love with Amelie
Blake: yeah but at least we've said it already
Griffin: I think it's smart he waited you know had to make sure she was the right one
Kio: what about you two (looks at josh and Jaden)
Them: what?
Bryce: when are you two gonna say the L word
Jaden: josh and I say we love each other all the time what you mean
Quinton: oh come on when are you two gonna stop being oblivious
Josh: yeah no when did we become girls who talk about our love lives
Jaden: honestly but on that note I have to head to the studio because Travis wants me to touch up one song on the album, josh you want to come?
Josh: sure later guys
Griffin: bye love birds
Them: shut up (walks out the door)
Scene change
Lexie's pov
The waitress came back with the food and Addison started eating her Belgian waffle while I just picked up my fork and looked at it, now I know salad is actually healthy but it doesn't matter because it's still food and the thought of it repulses me at the moment especially seeing these two really pretty girls probably about my age just walk up to Addi and ask for a picture which she happily did, and the girls walked away but all I could think of was why couldn't I have the typical LA blonde hair, skinny body, and at least a normal height instead of 4'9. Or at least look my age because I am fifteen stuck in a thirteen year olds body and I am not even joking when I say that. I put a piece of the salad in my mouth and it took everything in me to not gag at the taste but I forced myself to keep it down and eat bite after bite because I didn't want addy to worry about me. Eventually we finished eating and left the restaurant and decided to drive to Beverly Hills and go to the mall, and on the way we blasted music until we got there and she parked. It was around one thirty when we got there so it wasn't too crowded but I knew that it would get crowded once kids got out of school especially for Christmas break. We walked into a few stores and I got some winter stuff because apparently Jaden texted Addi to get winter clothes since we are going with josh to Canada... I don't know how to feel about it though don't get me wrong I love josh but I don't know his family and staying in an unfamiliar house with people I don't know... yeah not comfortable with it but I can't tell Jae that so I am gonna have to suck it up. We were leaving the mall when crowds of fans started crowding around Addi and Hollywood fix was coming up to me.

Fletcher: Lexie the fans want to know why we haven't seen you around lately?
Lexie: no reason just laying low you know
Fletcher: how are you feeling after the videos got leaked? Did you ever find out who did it? What's the guys name in the video?
Lexie's pov
Fletcher kept asking me question after question while the fans had cameras that were flashing in my eyes and i could feel my chest tighten up, my heart racing, my palms were getting sweaty and I couldn't get a word out of my mouth. I saw Addi walk up to me and talk but I was to busy focusing on everyone around me, until security came up and told the fans to back away, I tried to catch my breath but it wasn't working and then I felt Addi grab my hand and pull me away from the crowd and to the bathroom.

Addi: lex it's okay your okay just copy my breathing okay
(Lexie is still hyperventilating)
Addison's pov
Shit shit what do I do? I have never had to calm someone down from a panic attack, I don't know what to and regardless I can't taker her out because the fans and Hollywood fix would still be out there. I tried getting Lexie to breath again and eventually it worked but she was still shaking so I decided that I was going to have to call Bryce. I pulled out my phone and clicked his contact and he answered after the second ring.

Bryce: hey babe what's up?
Addison: I was leaving the mall with Lexie when a crowd of fans surrounded me and Hollywood fix started asking Lexie questions, she got triggered into a panic attack so now I am in the bathroom and I don't want to take her out because they are still out there
Bryce: shit okay is she calmed down a little bit?
Addison: she's breathing normally but she's still shaking
Bryce: okay I am getting in the car I'll go pick you guys up put me on speaker
Addison: okay (she puts him on speaker)
Bryce: hey Baby are you okay? Can you talk to me?
Lexie: y y yeah
Bryce: okay good listen stay calm I am gonna go get you guys okay but I need you to stay calm can you do that for me?
Lexie: w w where's j Jaden?
Bryce: he's at the studio with josh but they'll be home by the time we get back
Lexie: n no I w want j Jaden n n now
Bryce: lex I am ten minutes away it'll be quicker for me to get you and take you home okay?
Lexie: o okay f fine
Bryce: alright I am almost there just keep talking to me, what did you get at the mall?
Lexie: a f f few c coats a and a h h hat w with gloves
Bryce: what else?
Lexie: w winter b boots
Bryce: good I am pulling into the parking lot now I'll find you guys okay?
Addison: we are in the bathroom by hollister
Bryce: okay
Lexie's pov
A few minutes later Bryce told security who he was and they let him and instantly he picked me up and wrapped his arms around me and I couldn't help but let tears fall and I was still shaking but he was swaying me back and forth.

Bryce: I am gonna put my hoodie over you okay and then we are gonna walk to my car (grabs Addison's hand) are you gonna come back to the house?
Addison: yeah let's go
Lexie's pov
Bryce started walking out of the bathroom and I could hear the fans squealing because he was around and Hollywood fix tried to come up I couldn't see but I could hear him until Bryce quickly told him that now wasn't a good time and eventually we made it to his car and he sat me in his back seat. We took Addi to her car and started driving to the house with her following behind. Finally we pulled up to the house and i ran to the front door and opened it just wanting to be in the comfort of my home and looked around for Jaden and saw him on the couch with griffin and josh.

Griffin: are you okay lex?
Lexie: I am now (breathes)
Jaden: what happened? I got home and griffin told me Bryce went to go pick up you and Addi
Lexie: there were a lot of fans and paparazzi and my anxiety got triggered and I had a panic attack...
Jaden: aww baby it's okay (hugs her)
Addison: Bryce can I talk to you for a minute?
Bryce: yeah I'll be right back guys (walks out with Addi to his room and looks at her) are you okay?
Addison: yeah I just feel bad, I didn't really know what to do except try and calm her down...
Bryce: you did the best you could and don't feel bad it wasn't your fault, and the fans should have at least had enough respect to give you guys space
Addison: yeah I guess...
Bryce: I love you (pecks her lips)
Addison: I love you too come on let's go back out there
Bryce: okay
(Bryce and Addison walk out of the room to the living room where they were sitting on the couches)
Lexie: I am tired
Jaden: take a nap babe we'll wake you up later
Lexie: okay (closes her eyes)
Jaden's pov
A few minutes later lex fell asleep in my arms and we turned the tv on and scrolled through Netflix looking for movies but I kept thinking about Lexie's anxiety and figured I would mention it to Callie tomorrow. We finished the movie and I decided to wake lex up because if I didn't she probably wouldn't sleep the rest of the night but even when she was awake she clung to either me or josh the rest of the day until we went to sleep and even then she slept with us which is another thing I have to mention to Callie.
