Chapter 24

Friday
Lexie's pov
I woke up laying on griffin's chest and at first I was confused about how I ended up in his room but then I remembered the nightmare I had last night, the panic attack and the boys leaving me alone. I am not gonna lie I am mad at them for it you can call me petty all you want but Jaden promised he wouldn't leave me and what does he do? He leaves me. I looked over at griffin who was still sleeping which meant that i could get up quietly and go to my room. Once I was in my room, I grabbed my phone and saw it was eight thirty in the morning ugh it's so early and I know I went to sleep late last night and then I woke up from the nightmare and stayed up after that so I should be tired but I am not instead I decided to throw on a sports bra and some shorts and walked over to my bag that had my vape pen which I haven't used in a couple days because I can never have a moment alone and took it and walked downstairs to the gym area where I saw Bryce lifting weights damnit so much for being alone.

Bryce: hey lex why are you up so early?
Lexie: (shrugs her shoulders) can I work out with you?
Bryce: sure go for it
(Lexie walks over to one of the yoga mats and starts stretching)
Bryce: I heard you had a nightmare last night are you okay?
Lexie: no josh and Jaden left me after they said they wouldn't
Bryce: kiddo you know he was only doing what the therapist said right?
Lexie: I don't care I am his little sister if I tell him not to leave me for a good reason he should know not to leave me (does a straddle)
Bryce: so let me guess your just gonna stay mad at them?
Lexie: hmm and I suggest if you don't want me to be mad at you either you shut up (plugs her headphones in)
Bryce's pov
I shook my head at the fifteen year old in front of me she's definitely stubborn that's for sure which can both be a good or bad quality depending on how it's used. In Lexie's case it's not a good thing because it's just going to make her more upset and i already know it's gonna hurt the boys but I can't make her do it either so I guess we'll just have to see how today goes. Hopefully it's not to much of a disaster because I have this guy coming over to do a lie detector video on the sway house but until then I am gonna work out a bit more. I look over at Lexie who is doing sit-ups and I just pick up one of the weights are start lifting them.

Travis: hey Jaden I know it's early but I was looking at the tracks from the songs and I think we can release one more single before the album comes out but we are gonna have to shoot the music video today if your down
Jaden: what song were you thinking about?
Travis: better off dead, I already got a guy who's willing to let us use a house for a set and a girl who's willing to play your ex for the song
Jaden: okay then yeah I am down to film when should I get there?
Travis: can you be there in like an hour?
Jaden: yeah sounds good
Travis: alright later man

Jaden's pov
I put my phone down and turned to the side and it felt weird not seeing Lexie laying in the middle. After griffin told us to leave her alone josh and I came back to the room and we fell asleep cuddling. I looked over at him peacefully sleeping with the sheets covering his bare chest and I felt compelled to kiss him.. ugh Jaden what are you thinking he's your best friend, your best friend you can't catch feelings for him besides you've never had feelings for a guy before... but josh can be exception right I mean look at how cute he looks sleeping. Oh my god I really need to stop and just as I was about to look away josh opened his eyes and I got lost in how blue they were but they were still a bit darker then mine and smiled up at me which looked adorable.

Jaden: nothing (smiles)
Josh: oh really, I don't believe you
Jaden: why not?
Josh: because you were clearly looking at something
Jaden: fine I was staring at your eyes
Josh: (laughs and shakes his head) why?
Jaden: I don't know they are a really pretty blue
Josh: well you have really pretty blue eyes too
Jaden: shut up and let's go downstairs
Josh: okay daddy (teases)
Jaden: don't start
Josh: why does it turn you on? (Smirks)
Jaden: keep it up and your gonna have to find out aren't you
Josh: what if I want to?
Jaden: too bad I have to actually film with Travis because we are gonna release one more song and music video before the album
Josh: oh sick your gonna kill it
Jaden: (throws on a black t shirt) thanks oh and I wanted to talk to you about something
Josh: what's up?
Jaden: Travis wants me to do a collab song with Nessa
Josh: okay are you gonna do it?
Jaden: would you be okay if I did?
Josh: I mean I wouldn't stop you if you really want to do the song with her
Jaden: I think it would be a good opportunity for the both of us
Josh: so do it it's totally fine with me
Jaden: you sure?
Josh: Jae we are best friends not in a relationship you can do a song with nessa if you want
Jaden: okay I just wanted to be sure
(Josh nods his head and they both walk down to the kitchen where griffin is warming up oatmeal In the microwave)
Jaden: where's Lexie?
Griffin: working out with Bryce
Josh: how was she last night?
Griffin: she eventually fell asleep after an hour of just holding onto me
Jaden: (sighs) do you think we fucked up?
Griffin: no you guys just did what the therapist recommended just next time don't promise lex your gonna stay with her maybe tonight just tell her that your going to leave and when she falls asleep you go but at least she knew you knows you weren't going to be in the room
Jaden: if I do that she's never gonna fall asleep
Josh: yeah she purposefully stayed up until Jaden sang and she finally fell asleep
Griffin: I don't know then but I can think of something I'll tell you but before that happens you got to get her to talk to you first
Jaden: yeah I am gonna do that now and then I am gonna head out to meet with Travis
Griffin: good luck
Lexie's pov
I was doing bicycles when i saw Jaden walk over to me but I just turned on up my headphone speakers and looked away from him but he didn't take the hint and tried to talk to him but I just ignored him and a few minutes later he sighed and stood up and I looked over at him and I could tell he was hurt that I ignored him but I am hurt that he left me alone after I told him not to and just continued doing bicycles. After an hour Bryce made me stop because he didn't want me to push myself so I told him to give me at least twenty more minutes and after some begging he let me and walked inside which meant I was finally alone so I stopped working out and took out my vape pen and finally inhaled it for the first time in a few days and just let the watermelon flavor sit in my mouth before exhaling it and watched the smoke evaporate. I took another hit and another and another and I got lost taking hit after hit until I heard a knock on the sliding glass door and I quickly put the pen in my pocket and turned around to see Noah was motioning me to come inside so I stood up and walked into the house and walked into the living room and I saw josh talking on the phone and then looked away because I was mad at him too.

Noah: lex go eat something since you just worked out
Lexie: I am not hungry
Noah: you have to be you just burned calories
Lexie: yeah but that doesn't mean I am hungry
Noah: go have a banana or some strawberries
Lexie: I don't want to I am fine
Griffin: Lexie eat something now
Lexie: ugh fine whatever (walks into the kitchen)
Lexie's pov
I walked over to the fridge and pulled out the box of strawberries and put it in a bowl and picked one up and took a bite because I knew griffin was looking at me but then he turned around and I put the strawberry back down. I got a fork and and a knife and cut them into tiny pieces so it would be easier to throw away. Fifteen minutes later I was just scrolling through my phone when I grabbed a paper towel and picked up the strawberry pieces and put them in the towel and threw it in the trash can and put the bowl in the sink and walked to the living room to see the boys making tik toks so I just sat on the couch when I saw josh walk over to me and I rolled my eyes and just went back on my phone.

(Lexie stays quiet)
Josh: please
(Lexie gets off the couch and walks up to her room and josh sighs)
Blake: she's not making this easy for you is she?
Josh: nope but when does she ever make anything easy
Blake: true
Lexie's pov
I went up to my room because I didn't want to be around the boys when my phone vibrated and I got a text from Brandon and I couldn't help but feel a little bit of butterflies in my stomach, but he has Rachel... so I don't know but I answered the text anyway.

I put my phone down and walked over to my closet and grabbed a white crop top that had two rainbow dragons on them with black ripped jeans and some high top converse. I walked into the bathroom and decided to put my hair in a braid and walked downstairs with my purse.

Lexie: can I hang out with Brandon?

Lexie: yeah what other Brandon do we know?
Anthony: I guess you can hang out with him but be careful and don't come home that late I think Bryce wants all of us to be in YouTube video today
Lexie: ugh fine just text me when we are gonna film
Kio: okay where are you guys gonna go?
Lexie: I don't know he didn't say
Kio: alright just be careful

Josh: was anyone expecting anyone? (Walks over to open the door) oh hey Brandon what's up?
Brandon: oh I am hanging out with Lexie
Josh: oh I didn't know that come on in, Lexie Brandon's here!!
(Lexie walks out of the kitchen with Kio and Anthony following her)
Brandon: hey lex (smiles)
Lexie: hey B ready to go?
Brandon: yeah
Josh: where are you guys going?
(Lexie rolls her eyes and walks of the door)
Brandon: I was just thinking the skate park is she okay?
Josh: she's pissed at me but anyway you two have fun
Brandon: thanks bye
Josh: later
(Josh closes the door and Lexie gets into the car with Brandon)
Lexie: sorry about that
Brandon: it's okay what happened?
Lexie: I don't want to talk about it
Brandon: how am I supposed to get to know the girl I might have a crush on
Lexie: you have a crush on me?
Brandon: I said I might
Lexie: well I might have a crush on you too then
(Brandon smiles and holds her hand)

Griffin: Quinton can you take out the trash!
Quinton: yeah I'll do it in a minute
Griffin: thanks I have to do a podcast that's why
Quinton: no worries I got it

I finished up an essay and turned it in and walked down to the kitchen and walked over to the trash bag and was about to tie the trash bag when I noticed there were strawberries in the trash can... wait a minute didn't Lexie have strawberries for breakfast? I thought it was kind of odd so I called for a couple of the guys to come.

Quinton: Bryce! Josh can you come over here for a second!
(Bryce and josh walk over to the kitchen)
Bryce: what's up?
Quinton: didn't Lexie have strawberries for breakfast this morning?
Bryce: yeah why?
Quinton: I just found strawberries in the trash and not just the stem but the actual strawberry
Josh: (sighs) seriously?
Quinton: yeah
Bryce: well are we gonna jump to conclusions and say it was
Josh: Lexie
Bryce: yeah
Josh: I don't know but I think it's worth mentioning to see how she reacts
Quinton: so bait her?
Bryce: it sounds messed up when you put it like that but basically

Lexie's pov
Brandon and I came to the skate park because he was determined to try and teach me how to skate but after falling on my ass like five times I gave up but we just laughed it off and I watched him skate for a while and in the meantime I took out my vape pen and took a few hits and just felt the sun against my face and enjoyed being away from the boys. Don't get me wrong I love them but they can be suffocating, I watched Brandon do a trick bud fall and burst out laughing.

Brandon: haha very funny (laughs)
Lexie: yes yes it was
Brandon: oh yeah you won't be laughing when I catch you
Lexie: ahh!
(Lexie Stands up and starts running on the sidewalk until Brandon catches her and spins her around and looks at her)
Lexie: what?
Brandon: can I try something?
Lexie: sure
Lexie's pov
Brandon looked at me and started leaning in to kiss me and I felt his lips touch mine and I couldn't help but let the butterflies in my stomach explode and as cliche as it sounds there were sparks, I felt his tongue against my lips and I decided to tease him and not let him until I felt his hand grab my ass causing me to gasp and he smirked and slid his tongue in so we were now fighting for dominance until he won and we both pulled away to breathe.

Lexie: (smiles) yeah but I have to ask you something?
Brandon: go for it?
Lexie: what's going on with you and Rachel?
Brandon: nothing we talked for a while but she had to go back home and the whole long distance is just complicated
Lexie: so you two are done?
Brandon: yeah pretty much
Lexie: good to know
Brandon: (wraps his arms around her waist) what does this make us?
Lexie: I am not ready for a relationship yet to be honest but I have feelings for you
Brandon: I have feelings for you too so how about we just take it slow and go at your own pace
Lexie: I would love that
Brandon: great now you want to go get ice cream I know this great place by the pier
Lexie: Yes (pecks him on his lips)
Scene change: sway house
Blake: we aren't actually about to dig through the trash right? (Looks at the trash bag)
Noah: how else are we supposed to find out if she's skipping breakfast?
Blake: by asking her like a normal person would
Griffin: and you think she'll be honest
Kio: wait a minute don't we have security cameras?
Josh: why didn't we think of that in the first place (face palms)
Anthony: I'll go get the footage I'll be right back (goes upstairs)
Quinton: well since we are getting the cameras I am just gonna get rid of this real quick

Quinton's pov
I finally tied the trash bag and took it outside to the green bin and threw it in there but not before something fell out of a paper towel and I saw a perfectly un eaten waffle and that's when I knew for sure that lex has been skipping breakfast, I didn't even need to see the footage but I walked back inside to see Ant came back with the security footage and sure enough we saw Lexie grab paper towels and put the food in it and throw it away. Why would she do that? Especially if she works out almost every morning that's so dangerous.

Griffin: should I call Lexie to come home?
Josh: yeah I'll be right back (walks out of the kitchen)

(Jaden is on set filming his new music video)
Jaden: it's been cloudy with a chance of depression, broke my heart and I learned my lesson it's already over in my head

Travis: cut! Who's phone is that?
Jaden: sorry it's mine can I take it?
Travis: yeah go ahead everyone a five minute break
(Jaden answers the phone)
Jaden: this better be important josh, I can't keep having you guys call me in the middle of work
Josh: yeah well we wouldn't have to call you every time if Lexie wasn't always up to something
Jaden: what did she do now?
Josh: she hasn't been eating breakfast
Jaden: wait what? How do you know?
Josh: Q found the strawberries in a paper towel in the garbage and then when he threw out the garbage a waffle fell out so we checked the security cameras and she's been throwing it away Jae which means
Jaden: she hasn't been eating breakfast for who knows how long
Josh: exactly
Jaden: well where is she, let me talk to her?
Josh: she's hanging out with Brandon bud the guys and I thought about maybe testing her when she comes home to see if she'll tell us the truth
Jaden: okay well let me finish up here and I'll head home does Bryce still want us to take this lie detector thing?
Josh: yeah the guys should be here around five
Jaden: okay let me finish up here so that I can get home
Josh: okay see you later

Lexie's pov
Brandon and I got cookie dough ice cream and started walking around the pier talking and getting to know each other when I got a text from griffin but ignored it and put my phone in my pocket and a few minutes later it started ringing and i groaned but picked up anyway.

Lexie: what no we've only been out for two hours
Griffin: I know but Bryce has the guy that wants to come over and film
Lexie: isn't that later though?
Griffin: Lexie just get home now

Griffin: then I will personally find your location and pick you up
Lexie: stalker
Griffin: I don't care just get home
Lexie: fine whatever bye (hangs up the phone)
Brandon: was that one of the boys?
Lexie: yeah they want me home... it was nice while it lasted
Brandon: yeah I had a nice time and I am glad you had fun but let's get you home because I don't want your brothers to kill me (jokes)
Lexie: ugh fineee
(Lexie and Brandon leave the skatepark and drive to her house and a few minutes later they pull up to her house)
Lexie: thanks for today B
Brandon: yeah of course I had fun I'll text you
Lexie: sounds good
Lexie's pov
Brandon pulled out of the driveway and I walked inside the house and went to the living room to see all the boys sitting on the couch... Uh oh this can't be good.

Jaden: we need to talk
(Lexie doesn't say anything but looks at griffin instead)
Lexie: what do we need to talk about? (Arms crossed)
Griffin: we know you've been skipping breakfast
Lexie: what? No I haven't
Josh: we looked at the security footage so don't even try and deny it, do you know how stupid and dangerous that is?
(Lexie ignores him)
Anthony: Lexie Josh asked you a question
Lexie: I don't care I am not talking to him
Kio: would you stop being stubborn for two seconds, we are trying to have a conversation as a family
Lexie: oh well I don't want them here
(Jaden and josh look down at the floor after she says that and Bryce looks at them and back at her)
Bryce: alright Lexie that's enough you threw your little show in the morning but now your acting like a child and being immature and it needs to stop right now
Lexie: hmm let me think no
Jaden: guys give me and josh a minute with lex please
Lexie: no I don't want to be alone with either one of you
Jaden: I don't care guys please
Boys: okay
Lexie's pov
The boys left the living room so that it was the three of us and I just turned my back to them because I didn't want to look at them. Call me petty or immature or whatever but I was hurt when they left me last night. They know that I get scared and have nightmares and I trusted them to protect me and they didn't... I could feel the tears threatening to come out of my eyes but I didn't want to let them. I didn't want to cry because that's all I seem to be doing these days is crying and I hate it.

Josh: Lexie can you turn around for us?
Lexie: no
Jaden: please baby just turn around so we can talk
Lexie: I don't want to talk to you guys
(Jaden sighs and turns her around so that she's facing them but she covers her eyes with her hands and josh gently grabs her hands and sees the tears streaming down her face and pulls her into a hug)
Lexie: let me go
Josh: shh it's okay (wipes her tears) can you tell us why you got so upset with us?
Lexie: (looks at both of them) you guys were supposed to protect me and you didn't but you promised me you would... I was scared when I woke up in my room in the dark all alone... when I tell you don't leave me there's a reason why...
Jaden: I am sorry lex I didn't realize that it scared you that much I just thought that it was a phase or something that we needed to slowly break, and josh and I stayed with you for an hour after you slept and you were fine so we thought you would be okay if we left
Josh: yeah we were just listening to what the therapist said because she knows better than we do and we thought we were doing what was best but you were counting on us and we let you down we are sorry
Lexie: it's okay... I forgive you (hugs josh and then hugs Jaden)
Jaden: I love you so much you know that right?
Lexie: yeah
Jaden: good now let's talk abort that other thing
Lexie: do we have to (whines)
Jaden: yeah
Lexie: okay...
Jaden: why haven't you been eating breakfast?
Lexie: because I need to lose weight and I can't do that when we have lunch and dinner together but breakfast is the only time that we do things separately so it was easy to skip it
Josh: why do you think you need to lose weight?
Lexie: the comments... and they are right I looked in the mirror and I don't see myself as skinny anymore (looks down)
Jaden: Lexie look at me (brings her chin up) you are beautiful just the way you are and people in the comment section can shut up... this is why i didn't want you having social media yet because you get affected by these things, your not ready
Lexie: so does this mean your taking my phone away again?
Jaden: no but I am deleting social media and I will restrict you from downloading it again until I think your ready for it okay?
Lexie: okay...
josh: and from now on one of us is going to be eating breakfast with you because you can't keep doing this to yourself and I think we are gonna limit how long you work out and your routines, you don't need to be burning calories when you don't even have any to burn
Lexie: but I like working out
Josh: I know you do but we are just going to limit it that's all because I know it's a physical outlet for you right now
Lexie: okay... I can't argue with that
Jaden: good now let's call the boys back in yeah?
Lexie: yeah
Lexie's pov
Jaden called the boys back in and caught them up on our conversation and after we just chilled watching tv until we heard a knock on the door and that's when I remembered Bryce wanted us to film with Jason Nash I think his name was and some lie detector guy named John. Bryce got up and opened the door and introduced everyone and Blake decided to go first, so Jason strapped him up and Jason started asking the questions.

Griffin: is Noah the best looking member of the group?
Blake: yes

(The boys start laughing)
Jason: do you like co hosting F boy kitchen with josh?
Blake: yeah

Lexie's pov
Blake's questions were pretty simple and went by pretty quickly the only kind of juicy question they had was Blake saying he would join hype if he never got asked to be in sway. Then Bryce went and he said that the rivalry on hype was real, that was he still in love with Addison which we all knew anyway, but that he would want to marry her. Then Jason asked if Bryce would let him date his mom which resulted in a face time call with his mom where Jason was flirting with Lisa which we all found so funny and laughed and then it was Josh's turn.

Wait a second I looked over at Bryce who was looking at Jaden and looked at josh and then looked at the rest of the boys who all had a similar look on there face so I knew something was up... oh my god are they actually trying to get josh and Jaden to admit they have feelings on camera!? Are they stupid or are they stupid... well let's just see how this is gonna go.

Jason asked josh a few more questions and but the tension in the room was obvious and then it was Jaden's turn and just by looking at at the boys I knew what was going to happen next.

After that Jason asked him a few more questions and then ended it and asked griffin a few questions as well as Noah and the video was finished. Jason hung out at the house for a bit but josh was sitting by Anthony and Jaden was by Bryce and they were just acting all awkward between them and I am pretty sure everyone in the room could feel it. Seven o clock rolled around and Jason left the house and Kio ordered pizza and we ate but they were still avoiding each other and then josh got a call so he walked out of the room and Jaden went to the bathroom which left me with the boys.

Quinton: because your their baby
Lexie: the fuck no I am not
Boys: yeah you are
Lexie: oh shut up if I am the baby then I have no business in playing match maker
Anthony: you could be Cupid!
Lexie: do I look like I carry love arrows
Kio: please Lexie just do something
Lexie: (groans) fine but if they kill me, my death is on your conscience
Noah: okay
Lexie's pov
I walked up to my room and created a banging noise to make it look like something and a few seconds later I screamed for josh and Jaden who came running into the room with a worried look on their faces.

Lexie's pov
As soon as josh and Jaden were in me room and close to me I quickly got up and ran out of my room and closed the door and locked it so that they were stuck with each other.

Fuck I am gonna kill her when I get out of this room, I looked over at josh who opened the balcony door and walked outside but still didn't say anything.. what is he waiting for am I supposed to say something first? Like the fuck am I gonna say I have secret feelings for you but we've been friends for three years but I kept it a secret because I didn't know how you felt? And was that lie detector thing even accurate for josh to actually feel the same way about me? Ugh Lexie! I knocked on the door hoping that she was just gonna come and unlock the door but it wasn't happening so I just sat down on the carpet and got lost in my thoughts.

I am so gonna kill Bryce and Lexie when this is over I can't believe they would set us up like that! I was outside looking at the moon since the sun set already. Why isn't he saying anything? Is he expecting me to be the one to talk because if he is then I can't do that... I can't tell him that lately I am attracted to him and beautiful blue eyes and jet black curly hair and his tattoos and the way he puts his family first no matter what.. josh snap out of it he probably doesn't even feel the same way and that lie detector test was probably wrong. I looked over at Jaden and something in me just said fuck it I walked over to him and I couldn't get words out of my mouth but I just leaned in and pressed my lips to his expecting him to push me away but then he instantly responded to the kiss and I knew he felt the same way. We didn't need to talk because we knew what the other was thinking and we knew how we felt but just too afraid to admit it. I ran my hands through his hair and he stopped kissing me only to trail his lips to my neck and I let out a groan and then brought his lips back to mine and we kept kissing until we both needed to breathe.

Jaden: josh I know that we haven't even been on a date or anything like that but I already know I have feelings for you and I want to be with you so will you be my boyfriend?
Josh: (smiles) yeah i thought I was going to have to ask you that too (laughs)
Jaden: do we tell the boys or keep it to us for a while?
Josh: let's tell the boys because they are family and obviously Lexie but let's hold off on the public I want to make sure we are gonna work
Jaden: me too (pecks him on the lips)
Lexie's pov
It's been two hours since I locked them in the room and I decided to go check on them and make sure they were alive so I went upstairs and unlocked my door and walked in to see josh and Jaden kissing each other.

Lexie: FINALLY!!
(Jaden and josh pull away from each other and smile)
Josh: well that's one way for you to find out (laughs)
Jaden: come here kiddo
(Lexie walks over to them and hug her)
Jaden: I wanted to kill you for locking us in here but now I am glad you did
Lexie: you two just needed a push
Josh: yeah you could say that, come on let's go downstairs
Lexie's pov
The boys and I went downstairs and they told the boys who were obviously super happy for them and the rest of the night we watched movies until twelve and then it was time to call it a night.

Lexie: are you gonna make me stay by myself tonight?
Jaden: no after last night I think we'll talk to the therapist and try to come up with another solution okay?
Lexie: okay
Josh: come on let's get to bed
(He picks her up and carries her up to the room and lays her down in the middle of the bed with Jaden going on the opposite side)
Jaden: wait a minute
Lexie: hmm
Jaden: what's going on with you and Brandon?
Lexie: (shrugs her shoulders) I don't know
Josh: do you like him?
Lexie: no (blushes)
Jaden: aww your blushing but no boys yet
Lexie: I have had a boyfriend before though
Jaden: I don't care you don't need a boyfriend right now
Lexie: I know and that's what I told him
Josh: good your staying a baby
(Lexie shakes her head at their overprotectiveness and Jaden turns the light off and they go to sleep)
