Chapter 59

Monday (3 am)
Lexie: AHH NO STOP YOUR NOT HERE, YOUR GONE! LEAVE ME ALONE PLEASE
Bryce's pov
I woke up feeling a kick to my side and a scream I sat up and looked over to see Lexie having a nightmare. I quickly sat up and lightly shook her trying to wake her up but it wasn't working and she kept screaming until finally I picked her up and started to rock her hoping that the motion would take her out of the dream and a few minutes later she opened her eyes with tears streaming down her face, her body was sweaty and shaking and the only thing that she could do was whimper and put her face in the crook of my neck.

Bryce: shh shh your okay (strokes her head)
Lexie: n night m mare
Bryce: I know, do you want to go see Jaden and josh?
(Lexie nods her head and Bryce gets off the bed with her in his arms and starts carrying her to the boys room, he opens the door and he walks over to Jaden's side and lightly shakes him)
Jaden: hmm (groans)
Bryce: Jaden wake up
Jaden: why (mumbles)
Bryce: lex had a nightmare
(Jaden sits up and turns the LED lights on and looks over at Bryce to see her shaking in his arms, he gently takes her from Bryce and starts to calm her down)
Jaden: can you get me her pacifier that's in the drawer
Bryce: yeah (walks over and opens it and passes him the pacifier)
Jaden's pov
I took the pacifier from Bryce and put it in Lexie's mouth and held it there while I rocked her back and forth and wiped the sweat from her forehead but since she was wearing a onesie pajama it was drenched with sweat too and she was just going to be shivering the whole night so I lightly shook josh to wake him up.

Jaden: josh wake up (lights shakes him)
Josh: hmm
Jaden: can you go to Lexie's room and get her pajama shirt with shorts?
Josh: yeah I'll be right back (gets off the bed)
Bryce: I'll leave you guys with her and call me if you need anything okay?
Jaden: thanks Bryce
(Bryce leaves the room and josh comes back a few minutes later with a pink shirt and some white shorts, Jaden quickly changes her and puts the pacifier back in her mouth and rocks her back to sleep)
A few hours later
Beep beep beep
(Jaden groans and turns his alarm off)
Josh: what time is it?
Jaden: eight
Josh: ugh it's to early (cuddles into his side)
Jaden: I know, I am debating on waking her up to do school with Rafy and go to dance or just let her sleep
Josh: let her sleep
Jaden: okay I have to go to the studio today, what do you have planned?
Josh: I have an interview later so I am going to go work out
Jaden: okay I am going to start getting ready (gets off the bed and pecks him on the lips)
Josh's pov
Jaden walked into the bathroom while I stayed in bed a little longer cuddling with lex until I decided to get up and walk downstairs to work out with the boys.

Griffin: where's lex? Rafy's going to be here soon
Josh: she had a nightmare last night so josh and I agreed to let her sleep in today
Griffin: oh okay
Josh: you and Kio working out with us today?
Kio: yeah
Quinton: (mocks) is Kio actually out of his room for once
Kio: shut up freshy
Quinton: I have been here for six months now I am not a freshman
Bryce: yeah you are now take a shot of protein and let's go
A few hours later
Quinton's pov
I was in my room getting ready to go meet Jaden at the studio when I heard crying coming from Jaden's room and I knew lex was still sleeping so I left the room and walked over over there and opened the door to see her sitting on the bed holding onto the sheets with a pacifier in her mouth and tears streaming down her cheeks. I walked over to her and picked her up to try and calm her down, I wiped her tears and rubbed her back until she was finally calm.

Quinton: did you have another bad dream lex?
Lexie: no I woke up in da room and I got scared (lays her head in the crook of his neck)
Quinton: aww it's okay (rubs her back) come on let's go downstairs to the kitchen and get you something to eat
Lexie: no I no want food
Quinton: (sighs) you have to have something come on (walks her downstairs to the kitchen to see Kio and griffin)
Kio: aww look sleeping beauty finally woke up (walks over to them and picks her up from Quinton) why are her cheeks red?
Lexie: I cry cause I wake up alone
Kio: aw baby it's okay (sits her down in the chair) what do you want to eat?
Lexie: I no want eat
Griffin: sorry missy but you have to
Lexie: no (crosses her arms)
Quinton: if you eat your food I'll take you with me to the studio to see Jaden
Lexie: bubba!
Quinton: yeah but you have to eat okay?
Lexie: fine but I no want a lot
Griffin: how about strawberries with toast?
Lexie: trawberry only
Griffin: no you need to have toast
Lexie: no!
Quinton: okay then you don't come to the studio to see Jaden (crosses his arms and looks at her)
Lexie: fine (pouts) I have da stupid toast
Anthony: (walking into the kitchen) language missy
Lexie's pov
I pouted at the boys and den griff hand me a pate with trawberrys and toast. I pick up a trawbetty and eat it den I pick up another one and another one till Dey were done and my tummy was full.

Griffin: you didn't even touch the toast
Lexie: I full griffy (whines)
Griffin: (sighs) Q do you think you could take it and see if she eats it in the car?
Quinton: sure, (looks at lex) go get ready little one
Lexie: otay!! (Gets off the chair and runs upstairs)
Lexie's pov
I walk to my room and see kitty sweeping in her bed so I go over and pet her and kiss her on da head and den walk into my little closet and pull out a yellow dwess with fowers and strappy white sandals and get dwessesd and walk downstairs to see Q tanding by da door.

Quinton: (looks up) you look cute but your Hair's a mess come here so I can put it in a ponytail
Lexie: no
Quinton: why not?
Lexie: I no like when you do it, you put it tight
Quinton: okay Jaden will do it when we get to the studio then, bye guys!
Them: bye!
Lexie's pov
We get in griff's car because Q don't have a car yet but has license so he used griff's and we tart dwiving to da studio. On da way dere the radio is paying music and Q keeps twying to get me to eat da yucky toast but I full and don't want to trow up. Da boys don't know my tummy hurts after eating because I don't want to go to da doctors. I don't know how long da Dwive was but as soon as we got to da studio I took my seatbelt off and wan inside.

Jaden: marylyn mo mo she a rockstar, she got molly in her hands so she'll go far cause she stick it to band she give me bars I just want a fucking friend oh ohhh I don't want to front right now but baby you on top right now oh yeah yeah
Lexie: bubba! (Runs into the booth)
Jaden's pov
I was in the middle of recording one of the songs for my album and didn't notice the door to the studio open but I did hear when the door to the booth opened and next thing I know Lexie's arms were wrapped around my legs so I took the headphones off and picked her up. I noticed she was wearing a yellow dress with flowers and sandals which she never would have worn if she wasn't in little space and her hair was a mess. I was about to ask her how she got here when I saw Q walk into the studio so I walked out of the booth with Lexie.

Quinton: I told you not to run in the street Lexie
Lexie: I sorry but I wanted to see bubba
Quinton: I don't care next time you wait for me a car could have hit you
Lexie: I sorry
Quinton: it's okay just don't do it again, hey Jaden
Jaden: hey Q are you ready to start making music?
Quinton: hell yeah
Jaden: alright get in the booth and I'll put on a beat and just start free styling and I'll record and if you like anything we keep it and start the lyric writing process
Quinton: okay
Jaden: also one more thing why does Lexie's hair look like the bride of Frankenstein's
Quinton: she didn't want me to do it
Lexie: he pulls my hair and does it to tight
Jaden: okay well where's your hair tie?
Lexie: here (takes it off her wrist)
Jaden: (puts her hair in the ponytail and looks at Quinton) alright get in the booth
Lexie's pov
Quinton got in da booth and bubba hand me a pair of headphones and he put on some too and started pressing buttons and den Q start singing and I listen for a little but den get bored so I grab a piece of paper and start cowering.

One hour later

Lexie: dada (points at the pic of josh and Jaden)
Jaden: you can answer it (presses a button on the soundboard)
Lexie: Otay (answers the call) hi dada!!
Josh: hey princess (smiles) what are you doing?
Lexie: at da studio with bubba and Q
Josh: oh okay where is bubba?
Jaden: hey babe (turns a knob) what's up?
Josh: nothing just got done with the interview and wanted to know if you wanted to meet at Boa for lunch
Jaden: yeah sure we are just about to finish
Josh: okay I'll text you when I get there love you
Jaden: love you too
Lexie: bye bye dada
Josh: bye cutie (hangs up)
Jaden: what do you say we call it a day Q?
Quinton: yeah that's fine (takes the headphones off and walks out of the booth) so what now?
Jaden: I'll send you the recording and you tell me what you want like or don't like and then we'll start writing the actual lyrics to give to trav
Quinton: okay sounds good
Jaden: do you want to go to Boa with us?
Quinton: nah I am actually going to meet up with cooper probably going to go skate
Jaden: okay have fun
Lexie: bye bye Q (waves at him)
Quinton: bye cutie (kisses the top of her head) make sure she eats she only had strawberries for breakfast and I had to fight her to eat toast
Jaden: thanks for letting me know
Lexie's pov
Da three of us walk out of da studio and to dere cars, I say bye to Q one more time and den get in da car with bubba who put my seatbelt on and started driving. We listen to music and den get to boa and we see dada talking with a guy with a camera.

Lexie: what?
Jaden: there's paparazzi I am going to go to your side of the car and pick you up and your going to hide away from the camera okay?
Lexie: okay
Jaden's pov
I walked over to Lexie and picked her up and she lay her head in the crook of my neck and I started walking towards boa where josh was talking with fletcher. We haven't been in public like this while lex is in little space and even though the world knows she turns into a little I don't think she would want the whole world knowing she was in little space. Josh saw me walking towards them and said bye to fletcher and wrapped his arms around my waist while I just waved at him because I didn't want to be rude and walked inside.

Jaden: yeah from what I know she's been in it all day
Josh: and she hasn't got triggered out of it once?
Jaden: no and I don't know if that's a good thing or if I should be worried
Josh: I don't know she's been in little space a lot more recently

Lexie's pov
I lifted my head and saw dada so I made grabby hands for him and he lifted me off of Jaden and sat me on his lap. Dada and bubba were talking while I looked down at his ring and started paying with it when I saw a new lady come back and ask what we wanted to drink. Da boys got cokes and bubba ordered a lemonade for me and a few minutes later she came back with the drinks and were looking at da menu.

Josh: do you want chicken nuggets and fries princess?
Lexie: no
Jaden: Mac and cheese?
Lexie: no
Josh: pizza?
Lexie: no I no want food
Jaden: to bad you didn't have a good breakfast so pick something
Lexie: no (crosses her arms and pouts)
Josh: stop pouting and if you don't pick Jaden and I are picking
Lexie: noooo (whines)
Josh: no Is not answer so chicken nuggets it is
Lexie: no pease don't make me eat (cries)
Jaden: why don't you want to eat?
Lexie: I no tell you
Josh: tell us right now Lexie Marie
Lexie: no and no food, food yucky
Jaden: no it's not it's good and you need to eat
Lexie: no bubba
(The waitress comes back and the boys order and Lexie keeps pouting when Jaden spots paparazzi filming them)
Jaden: Lexie Marie this is your last warning stop pouting or when we get home your going in time out
Lexie: no! (Hits him in the arm)
Jaden: okay your going in timeout when we get home
Lexie: no meanie! (Hits him again)
Josh: that's enough! (Whisper yells in her ear)
Lexie: no make me eat den
Jaden: you do not make the decisions little one (looks at her sternly)
(Lexie sticks her tongue out at him and hits him again)
Jaden: alright I have had it (picks her up from the chair) I'll be right back
Josh: okay
(Jaden picks up Lexie who starts fighting in his grip and walks to the family restroom and pulls her over his lap)
Jaden: I don't what just got into you but you do not make a scene in public like you just did (starts)

Lexie: I sorry (tears streaming down her face)
Jaden: (pulls her up) it's okay but from now on your going to behave understand?

Lexie's pov
We walk back to da table and da food is there now and I felt my tummy start hurting just wooking at it. Bubba sat me next to do dada again and I stare at da nuggies but don't pick it up so dada picks one up and puts it to my lips.

Josh: do you want to get in trouble again Lexie?
(Lexie shakes her head)
Josh: then eat (holds it in front of her)
Lexie's pov
I took da nuggie fwom dada and took a bite, I ate tree of dem before my tummy started to hurt and I no want to eat anymore but I no want to go to da doctors so what do I do? I decided to keep eating until I felt something burning coming up my throat and next thing I know I was trowing up with tears streaming down my face and bubba was rubbing my back while dada was getting someone to clean da mess.

Jaden: shh shh baby it's okay it's not your fault
(Josh comes back with a cleaning lady and they ask for the food to go and they walk back to Jaden's car)
Josh: is that why you didn't want to eat?
(Lexie nods her head)
Jaden: baby I am going to ask you something and you have to be honest okay?
Lexie: otay
Jaden: does your tummy hurt when you eat a little bit?
Lexie: hmm (nods her head) and den I trow up
Josh: you mean this isn't the first time you threw up after eating?
Lexie: no (shakes her head)
Jaden: how long has this been happening?
Lexie: I no no but big Lexie tart to trow up after eating and den little Lexie's tummy tarted to hurt after eating
Jaden's pov
I was processing what little Lexie was just telling me and then I looked over at josh to see he was processing too but I could tell we were both thinking the same thing. Lexie had relapsed and we didn't know which means we don't know how long she was relapsing for. I knew little Lexie wouldn't understand what was going on so I didn't explain it to her I just thanked her for being honest and josh went to his car so we could go back to the house and talk there. On the way back to sway I noticed lex had fallen asleep which would make telling the boys easier so we can decide what our next step is, when I pulled into the driveway I parked the car and picked up lex with josh right behind me. I put her in our room and then went downstairs to see the boys sitting on the couch minus Quinton and Bryce and blake who were playing ping pong.

Noah: where's lex?
Jaden: sleeping but that's fine because this is a family meeting with just us
Kio: why what's up?
Josh: so we were at boa today and lex threw a tantrum because she didn't want to eat and then when she finally did eat she ended up throwing up, at first we thought it was just a one time thing but after what little Lexie said we are thinking big Lexie might have relapsed
Bryce: how do you know for sure?
Jaden: because little Lexie said that big Lexie always threw up after eating and the only way that's possible is if she
Anthony; relapsed
Jaden: exactly so what do you think we should do?
Griffin: well first I think you need to schedule her a doctors appointment for as soon as possible, if she really has relapsed we want to know how much weight she's lost and for how long it's been happening
Noah: how are they going to know how long she's been doing it for?
Griffin: when someone purges it irritates their throat so the more irritated it looks means the longer it's been
Boys: ohh
Jaden: alright then I am going to go call doctor gray (grabs his phone and dials then number)
Phone convo
Dr. Gray: hello thank you for calling Los Angeles hospital this is dr. Gray speaking from the pediatric center how may I help you?
Jaden: hi doctor gray it's Jaden hossler and I am calling because I think my sister might have relapsed and we want to get her checked
Dr. Gray: okay not a problem I have an opening for five o clock today if you want to bring her in
Jaden: yeah no problem the sooner the better
Dr. Gray: okay I'll write you down and I'll see you in about two hours
Bryce: okay so if she's relapsed what do we do to make sure it doesn't happen again?
Griffin: we lock all the bathroom doors before dinner, observe her while she eats and two hours after to make sure she doesn't purge again, and she's going to hate this last one but she can't he left alone
Jaden: what about school? We can't take her out that's the only thing she enjoys right now
Griffin: then we notify her teachers and someone should tell Clare too
Jaden: I'll call Justin later and tell him to tell her I don't think she'd be really happy if Clare lectures her or something like that
Griffin: good point
Jaden: okay so we have a plan
Boys: yeah
One hour later
Jaden's pov
Josh and I were playing ping pong when we heard foot steps come downstairs and looked up to see Lexie dressed in a crop top and skinny jeans with Adidas indicating she was no longer in little space which meant this conversation we are about to have with her isn't going to be fun.

Bryce: hey Lexie can you take a seat next to Noah and blake?
Lexie: yeah...what's up
Jaden: (sits in front of her) I am going to ask you a question and I need you to be very honest with me
Lexie: what is it (says nervously)
Jaden: are you purging again?
Lexie: are you serious right now? (Stands up)
Blake: sit down (pulls her back down)
Lexie: no I am not going to sit here and have you guys accusing me because you don't trust me! (Stands back up)
Noah: sit your ass back down Lexie Marie and tell us the truth (pulls her down again)
Lexie: I am not answering it, you guys clearly can think what you want (crosses her arms)
Bryce: if you don't tell us right now then we are going to find out another way
Lexie: oh yeah and how are you going to do that?
Josh: you have an appointment with doctor gray in an hour
Lexie: what the fuck!? So you set up an appointment just because your suspicious about something I am not even doing!!
Jaden: I don't believe you that's why
Lexie: that's not fair I haven't done anything for you not to trust me!
Jaden: then look me in the eyes and tell me that you haven't purged (brings her chin up so they are face to face)
Lexie: I... I hate you for making me do this! (runs out of the living room and slams the door to her bedroom)
Forty five minutes later
Jaden: come on lex it's time to go (knocks on her door)
Lexie: fuck off
Jaden: now
Lexie: no I don't want to go to the doctors and I don't want to see you
Jaden: alright the way I see it is you have two options one you come out of your room willingly or two I get Bryce to break the door down it's your choice
Lexie: leave me alone
Jaden: Bryce!!
(Bryce walks upstairs)
Bryce: is she not coming out?
Jaden: no
Bryce: I got it
(Bryce easily kicks the door down and Lexie looks up to see them standing there)
Jaden: did you think I was kidding?
Lexie: I am not going to the doctors
Jaden: looks like I am dragging you then (walks over to her and picks her up)
Lexie: put me down Jaden!!!
Jaden: no I don't care if your mad at me this your health we are talking about
(Gets downstairs) josh you coming?
Josh: yeah let's go actually Bryce can you come too?
Bryce: yeah
Lexie's pov
Jaden puts me in the back of the car and before I could try and make a run for it Bryce was in the back with me wrapping his arms around my waist and Jaden was getting in the drivers seat while josh was getting in the passenger seat and we started driving towards hell. Thirty minutes later of me begging not to go and hoping they would listen and turn around which failed we pulled into the hospital parking lot and Bryce got out of the car with me in his arms and we started walking inside the building and Jaden went to sign us in while josh and Bryce sat on either side of me making sure I wouldn't run which I really wanted to. I started thinking about what's going to happen when they find out that I have been purging again. Are they going to be mad? Is Jaden going to punish me for lying to him? Or are they just going to be disappointed in me... what if they decide that I am too much of a burden and put me on the streets, I honestly wouldn't blame them I would want to get rid of me to in all honesty. I started fidgeting with my fingers and when that didn't help I started bouncing my knee up and down until I felt someone put a hand on it and stop me and looked up to see it was josh.

Lexie: no I don't have my stress ball if you were going to ask me that (says irritated)
Josh: didn't we tell you to carry it around with you from now on
Lexie: well I haven't so that's just another reason to be disappointed in me...
Bryce: is that what you think?
(Lexie shrugs her shoulders and Jaden walks back over to them after filling out paperwork)
Bryce: Lexie we aren't disappointed in you
Lexie: don't lie to me I know that's exactly what I am
Bryce: no it's not stop saying that
Lexie: (scoffs) why can't you just tell me the truth? That I am just a disappointment for you guys you should just get rid of me I am a burden anyway
Jaden: (sighs and pulls her in for a hug) that's not true please don't think that you are not a burden or a disappointment.. are we disappointed you didn't feel like you could come to us when you started? Yes but that's the action you did not you as a person
Josh: we love you for who you are and we know that this isn't something that's easy for you and we going to be with you every step of the way okay?
Lexie: do you promise? (Looks at him)
Josh: of course
Lexie: okay...
doctor gray: Lexie Marie hossler
Jaden: that's us let's go
Lexie's pov
Jaden takes my hands and the three of us walk into the doctors office. First she starts off with a normal check up heartbeat, blood pressure, etc then she starts asking how I am doing in little space and the boys tell her that I have been slipping more than normal but she says that's a good thing because it means I am de stressing and that's probably why my blood pressure was normal and so was my heart rate but to keep doing age play therapy because of the nightmares that still happen which cause stress and I turned out after that until she had me step on the dreaded skill and saw I was sixty pounds... that's it? I was sure I would have lost more.

Doctor gray: well it seems that Lexie is fifteen pounds underweight the minimum she should be is at least seventy seven and maximum ninety four so as you can see she's no where around that... listen I don't want to alarm you guys but I do want to warn you because if Lexie loses anymore weight there's the possibility of having to put her on a feeding tube which we obviously want to avoid
Lexie: a f f feeding t tube
Doctor gray: yes Lexie now there are two options one you can go to rehab for treatment or two you do an in house program and keep going to therapy it's up to you guys
Lexie: (looks at the boys) you can ship me off to rehab if you want... (looks down at her fingers)
Jaden: no she's not going to rehab I am sorry but with all due respect I don't think it will be much help she won't be comfortable around strangers and they won't know how to cope with her nightmares
Doctor gray: i agree with you in that case so for the home treatment make sure sure she's eating breakfast, lunch and dinner right now we want her to take in as much calories as possible however because she isn't used to large food intake right now your going to have to start small and lock all the bathrooms, and observe her because the last thing we want is to put a feeding tube inside her
Josh: okay thank you so much doctor gray
Doctor gray: your welcome let me just check her throat for scratches or irritation
(Lexie opens her mouth and doctor gray shines the light and sees how red and irritated it is)
Doctor gray: I am going to recommend a pill that's going to help with the redness and swelling as well
Bryce: okay thank you so much
Doctor gray: not a problem I'll be right back (walks out of the door)
Lexie's pov
Doctor gray walked out and the room was silent, I think we were all trying to process everything we just heard... I was petrified at the thought of having a feeding tube put inside me because that shit looks scary and I don't want that. I also don't want to be fat and have the media coming for my throat all the time.. I don't know what to do and I felt so overwhelmed and burst into tears. Jaden quickly wrapped his arms around me and sat me in his lap hugging me.

Jaden: shh I know we won't let that happen I promise (runs his fingers through her hair)
Josh: but you have to promise to meet us halfway too okay?
Lexie: I I will I p p p promise
Josh: okay then we are going to do exactly what doctor gray says to make sure that doesn't happen okay baby
Lexie: o o okay
(A few minutes later the door opens and the boys look up)
?: oh sorry I didn't realize she was with a patient
Jaden: doctor shepherd?
Doctor shepherd: oh wait I remember you.. Jaden right which means you must me Lexie why the tears?
Lexie: I am s s cared
Doctor shepherd: oh there's nothing to be worried about my wife is a great doctor
Bryce: doctor gray is your wife?
Doctor shepherd: yeah most people don't know because of the last names unless you actually work in the hospital then people know
(The door opens again and doctor gray walks in)
Doctor gray: here is the medicine for her throat and I'd like to see her back in a month to see much progress is being made
Jaden: okay thank you again doctor gray and it was nice seeing you again doctor shepherd
Doctor gray: you two met before?
Josh: yeah he was the one that stitched up lex when she fell in the shower a few months ago
Doctor gray: oh wow what a small world but anyway it was nice seeing you guys again
Boys: you too
Jaden's pov
I carried Lexie out of the car who had passed out in my arms after crying and we finally got to the house and I put her up in my room. We told the boys everything that happened and around seven I woke up Lexie for dinner we decided to just let her finish the chicken nuggets from lunch and I guess she was still feeling mentally tired because after eating she fell asleep again and around eleven the boys and I called it a night. I didn't bother putting Lexie in her bed since she was already laying in ours and instead we just cuddled up to her and fell asleep.
