•This friendship started out pretty young tbh

•It all happened when you had noticed kids would start to make fun of Daehwi

•You didn't personally know why so you never bothered to stick your nose into someone else's business

•Though one day while you were playing you had managed to hear some boys joking and teasing Daehwi about not having a dad

•Even though they were joking about it like it was nothing

•It was enough to get your blood boiling

•"Hey shut up! That's not nice to talk about something like that!"

•"It's just a joke besides it's not like we're saying that bad of things.'

•Not in a million years would Daehwi ever believe someone would have stood up for him

•So all he could do in the moment was stare you at you admiration

•Only responding when you grabbed his little hand in yours and started to run away with him

•"Hey awe you okay? Please don't listen to the jewks, they don't know anything they'we just dummies."

•He shot you a bright smile

•and just like that you had signed off a friendship with pinky promise

•Something neither of you would ever wanted to take back

•Days at school had gotten better for Daehwi and he no longer got picked on

•He had a best friend he could finally find comfort in

•And in all honestly Daehwi had surprised you a little with his fierce and hyper personality

•Though it complimented yours pretty well

•So as you guys got older both of you became almost inseparable

•Especially when Daehwi start to pick up singing and wanted to be singer

•You praised the heck out of his singing and even cheered him on when he would "perform" a cover for you

•So when daehwi had gotten accepted into JYP you were the first to send him congratulations text

•and when he got home you literally tackled him and treated him out to food and a shopping spree

•You were literally so proud of him there was not enough words to even explain just how proud you were

•Though you couldn't see him as much as you used to you stayed his number one fan and maybe even felt more than just that
