· you frowned over at kang daniel, crossing your arms

· "you're really asking me to be a bodyguard?" you scoffed, rolling your eyes

· "bodyguard, no," daniel retorted, "protection, yes. look, (y/n), you're the best street fighter the 101 has. the ability of the 101 to do dealings with the yakuza in the future is dependent on takada kenta's safety."

· "the dude's a yakuza heir, I'm sure he can take care of your self," you shot back, throwing your hands into the air in frustration

· "well, regardless of whether or not he can take care of himself, you're driving him from the airport," daniel said firmly, "and that's final."

· you seethed, yanking the keys from his outstretched hand before storming off

· you'd been involved in the 101 for a while, initially through illegal underground fighting

· as you'd gained traction in the streetfighting world, the 101 had offered you protection and safety in exchange for fighting for them

· however, when kang daniel had seen how good of a fighter you were, he'd switched you over to their combat team, insisting that your talent was wasted on old men betting with each other

· you stormed out to the front of the building, clicking the automatic key until you found the proper car

· sighing, you started it up, heading for the airport

· as you pulled up to the area where you picked people up, your phone vibrated with a next text– daniel had sent you a picture of takada kenta for reference

· he was cute, you had to admit, and you carefully held it up, scanning the mass of people exiting the airport building

· as you narrowed your eyes, desperately searching, someone tapped on the glass of the car, making you jump in shock

· takada kenta stood there, suitcase in hand and a wide smile plastered over his lips

· "oh! hi!" you greeted him, hurrying out of the car to grab his suitcase before ushering him into the car

· "I'm (y/n)," you introduced as you pulled out onto the freeway, eyes trained on the lane that you were merging into

· "takada kenta," kenta replied as he folded his hands carefully

· you did your best to make small talk, asking him about his flight, if customs were okay, and such

· luckily, he seemed like a sociable person, responding to your questions and just generally chattering away

· it was a relief that he was up to carrying out a conversation, because you really weren't in the mood

· after what seemed like an eternity, you pulled up to the 101 building, guiding kenta to daniel's office before leaving for your own

· you'd already had a ton of work to do, but daniel's little stunt as making you a temporary chauffeur had set you back slightly

· settling down in your desk, you powered up your laptop to being, fully concentrating

· you were able to work for a few hours straight, stopping briefly to grab some lunch and coffee

· as it was nearing nighttime, you heard someone gently knock on your door
