"Can you please place that down over there?" you instructed to a staff member, pointing to the direction of the table by the grand staircase and you glanced around yourself, somewhat frazzled ever since your Mother had told you she needed to leave and see a doctor.

The Annual Childrens Charity was to start in three hours, and your Mother, along with several other affluent women in society always ran it with every detail turned over several times to ensure perfection for the event was met.

You had watched them do this for many years, and since becoming of age, you had been asked to help the committee out as soon as you arrived back from studying abroad. You had thought it would mean setting up a few items for the auction later on in the evening, or greet and hand out gift bags to all attendees.

Instead you were running around frantically, thanks to a very unsavoury pot pie Mrs Lakewood had given out at lunch. You had thankfully dodged that bullet, but being the only one not rushing off to the doctors with food poisoning, it left everything on you to complete.

There wasn't enough coffee in this country to give you ample energy for this.

All the same, you knew with the standard of guests tonight, that you had to do your very best. The charity always invited household names to the event, and even the royal family would send someone to show their support.

It would be outrage if you didn't attempt to have everything on the check list sorted.

"Excuse me, I was told to bring this here?" a deep voice entered your busy brain and you barely looked at the boy and the item he held. Noticing it was one of the items on the auction list; you nodded and checked it off.

"You can take it over there," you said and smiled briefly, your eyes now taking the time to look at the taller boy. He smiled at you and you frowned, he seemed oddly familiar. All the same you didn't have time to figure it out and smiled again to excuse yourself.

"Y/N," a staff member called and you spun around. She was cringing, carrying what appeared to be a very precious vase. One that you soon realised belonged to royal family. You gasped and rushed over.

"What happened?! That's on loan from the palace for tonight!"

"The intern knocked into the table with a trolley of extra chairs and it fell over on its side. What do we do, it has a small crack now!"

You didn't need this in the slightest and stress surged within you. "What would the representatives for the palace say?! My Mum is going to kill me."

"I'm sure it won't be exactly the end of the earth," the boy said casually as he walked over to you both and you looked at him in horror. "There's plenty more there, I doubt they'd miss it that much."

"You're insane this piece is over a hundred years old."

He nodded, eying it was some interest. "There are pieces that date back to ancient times though; I doubt they'll even batter an eyelid."

"I don't have time for this!" you cried and tried to stop yourself from hyperventilating. "What am I going to do?!"

"Do you have any ribbons or sash like material?" the boy asked and you looked at him again, wondering why he was still even here. He sensed your opinion and raised his hands up in defence. "Only trying to help. It's a minor crack, and we could just cover it up."
