because of your family's social status
everyone knows you're the daughter of the no.1 bank in Korea
this means you're a rich kid
what everyone could see on the surface is you carrying all those branded stuff and think that you're truly happy
but what's hidden behind is that you're actually feeling pretty lonely
because you're so rich that no one likes hanging out with you
they just don't like the idea that you get whatever you want just because of your parents
so you hardly have any friends
everyone talks behind your back and you don't have any choice but to accept it
and that's the reason why you got kidnapped a years ago
the bank your parents are handling, succeeded and this made a few other banks jealous, turning them into rivals
the rivals was mad at your parents and went to kidnapped you
and it could be prevented if you actually have friends
you remembered that day you were so distracted by your thoughts
that everyone in school has at least one friend except you
you started wondering what's wrong with you
and that's when you got captured by mafias
eventually, your parents found you back
and that's probably the main reason when your parents told you they got you bodyguards
they also told you that you're supposed to have a meeting with them tonight
even though they are just your bodyguards, but that got your excited already
because you are getting to know someone new
instead of getting ready in the usual 10 mins, you decided to dress well today
you put on a light layer of makeup, making sure it covers your flaws
putting on your favorite perfume
wearing a black dress that compliments your body line, making you look tall
and lastly, finishing off the look with a pair of black heels
"you look great, i'm sure the bodyguards would love you" your mom pointed out
while on your way to the dinner, the bodyguards are the only thing on your mind
"are they muscular and big?"
"will they be wearing black sunglasses every day?"
"will they like me?"
although you're kinda insecure, you are still excited meeting them
when you're at the door, your father told you to come in
"y/n, meet your bodyguards, woojin and jihoon!"

your bodyguards turn out to be way different than what you think
even though they aren't muscular and big, but they got the looks
"a-are you sure they are my bodyguards?" you stuttered
they are a little too handsome to be protecting you
"yes they are, now i will leave you and get to know each other" with that, your dad left, leaving the 3 of you in the room
"my name is jihoon but listen up, once i'm done doing my job, i'm out" the one with the yellow sweater said
"that's not what we agreed on! you're supposed to protect y/n with your life!" the one with the blue sweater said
"anyway, my name is woojin and nice meeting you, y/n" he flashed a smile
"whatever you say" jihoon rolled his eyes
after meeting them, you're not too sure if you could still get along with them
it's only the first day and the both of them are busy bickering already
you can't help but to show your disappointment
and even as days pass, everything still remained the same
jihoon and woojin are still arguing, even over the smallest matter
"why do you have the pink chopsticks while i get the purple one?" jihoon questioned
"i don't know? maybe i suit pink more?" woojin replied
"everyone knows i suit pink more! now give me your pink chopsticks" jihoon protested
"no it's mine- stop arguing! it's just chopsticks for god sake" you had to cut in and stop them before they continue
that is just one part of the argument that the both of them would have in a day
and your ears have to suffer while listening to them as you sit in between the both of them
that's when you thought you had enough
you decided you have to come out with a plan to make the both of them stop quarreling
you know the both of them would be waiting for you at the school entrance after your class ends
so instead of exiting by the front gate, you went by the back
yes, you are planning to go missing so that the two of them would cooperate
afterwards, you went back to find them and watch them from a distance
they started panicking and yes, your plan is working
you can tell jihoon is listening to woojin's instructions
although you are watching them from a distance, you heard woojin say something along the lines of the places you like to visit
woojin actually notice about the things you like?
that surprised you because you don't remember telling woojin everything you like
and he actually remembers the small things you told him before
anyways they seemed pretty much good
when they started calling you, you answered because you didn't want this whole joke to blow up
"WHERE ARE YOU Y/N? WE CAN'T FIND YOU" you heard woojin scream
"i'm right here boys" with that, you appeared behind them
and you swear their expressions are priceless
but within a second, it's your expression that became priceless
woojin hugged you without hesitation
"where the heck did you go, y/n? we are so worried about you and we even wanted to report to your dad" jihoon complained
you could gradually feel woojin's arms getting tighter that you have to pat him on his back to ask him to let you go
"i went missing on purpose because the both of you couldn't stop bickering. but from my observations, i think you guys are good right?" you chuckled
"yes we're good because of you but do not ever disappear like this, it scares us" woojin answered
somehow, woojin's answer gave you assurance and you promised not to do such stuff anymore
and from that day onward, the friendship between the both of them improved drastically
woojin and jihoon stopped picking on small stuff to fight on
and not to mention, your relationship with them as well
you're starting to feel like they are your bodyguards
but most of the time, you feel like they are your close friends
however, you're not too sure about woojin
ever since that incident of going 'missing', he started taking his job even more seriously
making sure you reach your house safely
making sure you're within his reach every moment
and the reason why you say you're not too sure about woojin because whenever he says goodbye after he send you home
you feel different from the look of his gaze
you find yourself being confused about your feelings at times
that being said so, you enjoyed having the company of the both of them
until one day
you saw from the news that the rival company that is against your parent's bank is shutting down
the feeling of relief went through your body with the thought that your parents no longer have to worry about their business
just then, your dad called you down
as you arrived at the living room, jihoon and woojin are already there
"as you would know, my rival company is shutting down and this means that we're all finally safe. with that, i would like to officially tell to you that jihoon and woojin will no longer be your bodyguards since everything is fine now" your dad announced
"oh... okay" that's the only thing you could reply
instead of being happy that the rival company is gone, you are rather sad to know that jihoon and woojin will no longer be by your side
there's no one else who is going to eat breakfast with you
no one to talk to
to laugh with
you never expected this day would arrive so soon
nevertheless, you have to accept your father's decision
"don't be sad, y/n! we can still stay in contact" jihoon said as he ruffled your hair
"yeah, that's right! you can still see them!" you father laughed at you
when you approached woojin, the sadness you're feeling is getting too much
you didn't wanna cry in front of him so you gave a forced smile, forcing yourself to accept this
without saying anything, you waved goodbye to the both of them
somehow, even though you know you could still see jihoon and woojin, but the fact that you're getting separated hurts you
because of that, your mood for the rest of the day got worse
you just didn't want to do anything and just wanted to lie in bed
until you heard your dad calling you
"y/n! you have a visitor!"
you went down and the moment you see woojin at your door, your heart started skipping beats
"what are you doing here woojin?" your dad asked
"i'm here to ask y/n out, not as a bodyguard but as a boyfriend"
