everyone knows who you guys are
including the teachers
everyone started labeling the both of you the troublemaker couple in school
because seongwoo and you just can't stop playing tricks on others
anything that you could think of
the both of you would do it
and that's the exact reason why you got together with seongwoo
or to be exact, the reason why seongwoo started chasing you
when he first got to know you and wanted to play a prank on you
you're the first person who got the courage to expose seongwoo
even until now, you could still remember that face of his when you exposed him
he was clearly shocked that you didn't have much reaction
and even went to that extent of exposing him
ever since then, seongwoo took an interest in you and started chasing you
after knowing you better, he found out that your personality is just like his
someone that loves doing pranks
slowly, you got attracted to him
and when the news of you guys getting together got spread out, everyone immediately ships the both of you and called you the troublemaker couple
everyone has a love-hate relationship with seongwoo and you
they hate you guys for doing pranks
but at the same time, love you guys for being so adorable together
so that's basically how your relationship is like with seongwoo
a brand new day = a brand new prank
things remained the same until one day
you guys noticed how bored everyone gets with your pranks
and the both of you made fun of almost everyone
"y/n, don't you think we are running out of ideas?" seongwoo popped the question as you guys walked home
"that's true, everyone is slowly getting bored of us" you giggled
"shall we do something shocking this time round?"
"like what?"
"something like... pretending that we broke up! i think that would be a good prank!" seongwoo laughed
you laughed at his suggestion
"are you sure seongwoo?" you questioned
as much as you wanted to agree to this prank, but your gut feeling just tells you something about it is not right
"should we think about other pranks instead?"
"don't worry, we'll be okay! we just have to avoid each other or even hate each other at school, so easy" you felt seongwoo's hands slip into yours
you sighed and gave in
"okay then, if you say so..."
"great! you just have to follow my lead tomorrow!" seongwoo said
you ignored that gut feeling of yours and went ahead with seongwoo's plan
when tomorrow arrives, seongwoo started making a commotion during break time
"why did you hang out with him yesterday when i told you not to go!" seongwoo yelled at you
"i-i already told you i have to go!" you got the hint of it and continued with the conversation
"because you like him more right?" seongwoo's words cut you as if it was real
with seongwoo's voice, this attracted everyone's attention
even though you could feel your cheeks getting red, you know you have to continue
"y-yeah! so what if i like him more?"
"fine! let's break up then!" with that, seongwoo left you alone in the dining hall
although you know that it is completely fake, but your heart stings for some reason
and you could actually feel tears forming
you quickly run to the toilet to calm yourself down
even when you returned back to class, seongwoo started treating you coldly
he ignored you when you walked past him
and when your classmates started questioning him if this is a prank, seongwoo continued being angry
"how is this even a prank! i'm done with her"
"but you guys are just fine yesterday! how did this even happen all of a sudden?" you heard one of them tried to ask
"you can just ask her directly, i don't want to talk about this anymore"
looking at how annoyed seongwoo is, the rest of them back off and decided to leave seongwoo alone
whereas for you, your classmates didn't approach you and also left you alone
and even when you know this is all an act, your heart felt a pinch whenever you recalled how seongwoo shouted at you
you just wanted the class to end and tell seongwoo about it
thankfully, time did pass by fast
and before you know it
you're heading back home with seongwoo
the real seongwoo that you miss being with
"seongwoo ah" you greeted him with a hug as he waited for you
"i miss you" you blurted out
"we just saw each other in school and you miss me already?" seongwoo said as he messed up your hair
"i just miss you... and not the seongwoo in school"
what's worse is that today is only the first day
how long are you supposed to keep up with this?
and pretend to be okay when this isn't what you wanted
"seongwoo... can we just not do this anymore? i don't like it when we have to pretend to fight"
"come on, y/n... don't be a party pooper and spoil the fun! just follow me and everything will be fine" seongwoo assured you once more
with that, you decided to believe in seongwoo once more
unknowingly, that is going to be a decision that you will regret
just like the first day, you guys continued being cold to one another
and whenever your classmates bring up your name in front of seongwoo, he would react angrily
and even curse at you
at first, your classmates are still denying and say it's a prank
and no matter how seongwoo tried to say it's not, some of them are still not believing
and that is when things started turning for the worse
the both of you started drifting apart for real
the time you guys spend together is getting lesser and lesser
it was seongwoo's idea to tell you not to meet up even after school
because he was worried that the classmates might catch him
at first, you're still okay with it
until one day where everything changes
the moment you reached school, you saw seongwoo hanging out with this new girl
her hands are hanging around seongwoo while seongwoo's body is so close to her
you just didn't know how to react
because firstly, seongwoo never discuss with you about this
and secondly, who is she?
a feeling of jealousy and anger runs through your body
seeing that girl getting close to seongwoo is definitely not something you would expect
without you knowing, you stared at seongwoo for such a long time until your classmate had to snap you out of it
that alone caught seongwoo's attention
but even so, seongwoo continued feeding the girl attention
while leaving you alone like you are the stranger instead
you decided to just get to class because you no longer can stand seongwoo
why is he doing this?
just when you thought that things are going to get better as time pass but no
your mind is still occupied with what happened earlier on
and your classmates are not helping either
"seongwoo! is she your new girlfriend? i saw you and her have a such good time together"
as soon as you heard that question, you stopped whatever you're doing and anticipated for seongwoo's answer
he can't possibly say yes right?
"i guess you can say so?" seongwoo replied
even though your classmates are cheering on him for 'moving on' so fast, you felt likewise
this isn't fair
seongwoo never told you once about this girl
and now, he is telling everyone that they are together?
you just couldn't wait for class to end and talk things out with seongwoo
so you waited for him after class
you waited and waited but seongwoo never appear
even when you spammed him with messages and calls, seongwoo is still not answering
you unknowingly sighed to yourself just by thinking about the relationship you guys have
why is it turning like this?
just when you're about to leave, you heard someone giggling
and you could recognize it is seongwoo
you thought you might have calmed down after so many hours
but the moment you see seongwoo still hanging out with that girl makes you heartbroken once more
"seongwoo, can we talk please?" you stopped seongwoo
looking at the situation, the girl decided to leave the both of you alone
"what's happening, seongwoo? and who is she? you never told me anything about her" you confronted seongwoo
"please chill, y/n. she is just a close friend and i was so close to her because i wanted our act to be real"
you scoffed at his answer
"seongwoo, don't you think we are getting more ridiculous? this is all just a prank and we're going this far"
"how many times must i tell you, y/n? it is just a prank and nothing else!" seongwoo raised his voice at you
when seongwoo started seeing your eyes becoming teary, he regretted his words
"just take a look at our relationship"
"if you can't tell, we're falling apart for real, seongwoo" you forced yourself to say
without hearing what seongwoo has to say, you just walk away
when you got home, you poured out all of the tears that are threatening to fall in front of seongwoo
this is the first time you have gotten in a devastated state because of seongwoo
seongwoo has always been the reason behind your happiness and smiles
and why out of a sudden, he is your reason that caused you to be this heartbroken?
the more these thoughts started appearing in your mind, the harder you cry
you feel as though the both of you really broke up
and what hurts the most is that you could actually see that happening already
you have never expected things to turn out this way
no matter how many times seongwoo tells you it is just a prank, your heart and mind feels likewise
although it is hard to bring yourself to say it, but you could already see the end between you and seongwoo
and true enough, things are slowly changing
changing for the worse
as days pass, the both of you started talking lesser
and even when you see one another in school, it has become so awkward
whereas for that girl, she is still hanging around seongwoo
or maybe, hanging even closer
even though you don't see it but you heard your classmates gossiping about them
saying things like they have made out together
at times like this, you can't help but to say "they really do look like a couple now"
strangely, your heart is already immune to these kind of thoughts and seeing seongwoo with her
and you know it is all going to be over when you almost forget how is it like to be in love with seongwoo anymore
you stopped going after seongwoo since all he could say is "this is a prank"
you really stopped trying
things between seongwoo and you continued on this way
until one day where the both of you exchanged path
and the worse have already happened
you saw seongwoo holding her hand
although seongwoo shake her hand off when he sees you, it's too late
you know that girl have already replaced you
same goes for his feelings for you
instead of confronting him, you decided to brush it off
"y/n..." seongwoo called you
"looking at you hold her hand reminds me of how you held mine"
"and i still remembered the promise you said when we first held hands"
"you said we're going to last long"
when seongwoo got a grip of the situation, he hold onto your shoulders and look you in the eye
"seems like your promise is pointless now" you smiled and slowly removed his hands away
in the past, you're the one that is always chasing after seongwoo
hoping that he would treasure this relationship as much as you do
but now, the tables have turned
it feels as though it is nothing when you said those words
and the only reason why you could bring yourself to say it
because your feelings for seongwoo is long gone
gone for good.
