you will be heading to one of the renowned companies in korea for a job interview
being selected for an interview is like a huge thing for you already
and throughout the whole journey travelling, it makes you feel like you have butterflies in your stomach
you soon reached the destination
since it's a really big building, your heart undeniably beat even faster
without wasting time, you quickly head into the office and head to where the interview is held
you got so nervous to a point where you're no longer seeing where you're going
and without you knowing, you bang into someone
"i'm sorry!" you quickly apologized
when you meet your eyes with his, he gave you a rather intimidating feeling
instead of acknowledging your apology, he stared at you and brush the dust off his shoulders
you said sorry once more and quickly took the chance to run to the lift
but even as you entered the lift, that guy is still staring at you even until the last second
that send chills down to your spine you soon forgot about him when you reached the interview room
and surprisingly, they said that you met all of their requirements and they are going to hire you
in fact, you're going to start working tomorrow
and so you did
you came back tomorrow as a new employee
you met all your colleagues
and you're going to meet the CEO of the company
you knocked twice and entered the room
but as soon as you saw who your CEO is, you got a shocked
it's the same guy that you walked into yesterday
you thought your eyes are tricking you
but from the way he stared at you, you know it's the same guy
"so, you're the new employee huh?" he started
"y-yes, my name is y/n, nice to meet you" you greeted
"i'm mr. hwang, hwang minhyun and i expect a lot from you"
"yes, i won't let you down" you smiled at him but he still give a straight face
with that, you started working
as promised, you put in all your best in all the tasks
and since this is the first time ever that you have to submit your work to mr. hwang
you know he is going to be impressed because you know you have done your very best
"here's the work that you want" you said as you pray for his replies
"hm okay"
that's the very least you expected mr. hwang to say
you spend so much time in it and that is what he could say?

you told yourself, maybe you're not working hard enough
for the subsequent tasks that he gave you, you continued working hard
but guess what
mr. hwang is still giving you the same kind of response
even when you ask him for feedback, he would brush it off
and say things like "i will check it later"
feeling frustrated, you complained to your other colleagues
"are you sure mr. hwang is this kind of person? he is usually very friendly to us" one of your colleagues replied
"yeah, he would also compliment us... maybe you're still new" another colleague suggested
you sighed while hearing their answers
maybe it's just you
and maybe because you're still new
from that day, you decided to work even harder than colleagues
for most of the days, you started working over time
and you would usually be the one that watched your colleagues go home
by working over time, this means that the only people that is left in the office would be mr. hwang and you
you just hope that he would soon recognize the efforts you have put in
and pray that mr. hwang would stop being so cold to you

so you're working late as usual
and because this task requires you to sort data
you got pretty stressed over it
just when you're very focused on your work, you haven't been paying attention to your surrounding
suddenly, you felt someone's arm lying over your shoulderand when you turn
you realized it's mr. hwang
there is barely any space left between you and mr. hwang's face
you momentarily stopped breathing while the both of you just exchanged eye contact
you couldn't help but to admit how hot he looks right now
with that messed up hair
a tie that is loosen
and the first few buttons of his white long sleeve shirt is undone
you're on the verge of going crazy
what is wrong with him?
"pack up, let's head out for some fun"
before you could register that and even agree to that, mr. hwang forced you to start moving
and the next thing you know, you're in his car already
"where are we going, mr. hwang?"
"it's a surprise and just call me minhyun"
for the remaining time, you guys stayed silent
and when you guys reached, you know why minhyun said it's a surprise
he brought you to a bar
"no way i'm going there, minhyun" you protest
"you don't have a choice, y/n. you're coming with me" with that, he opened the door for you and dragged you out
since it's a weekday, there are not many people in the bar which is a good thing
the atmosphere is rather romantic
that being said so, you know things are still going to be awkward for the both of you
but minhyun turns out to be a total different person outside of the office
the more he drinks, the more rubbish he is say
and since you're not a fan of alcohol, you just accompanied him and watch how silly he turns
you are not exactly paying full attention to him until one part
"you know, y/n... i always thought you're special"
"right from the moment that you banged into me, i'm already attracted to you"
"you're actually driving me crazy even when you're not doing anything"
as you hear minhyun go on, you couldn't help but to smile to yourself
"come on, let's go home. you're drunk, minhyun"
you helped him up and got his car
you don't know if it's better to take care of a drunk minhyun or him treating you coldly
because both are equally hard
minhyun could barely even walk straight
you eventually drive him to his house and make sure he reaches home safely
just when you thought your job is done, minhyun suddenly gave you a back hug and stop you from leaving
"w-what are you doing, minhyun?" you stuttered
he soon let you go and you thought he understands you
but turns out to be wrong
he harshly turned you around and before you know it, you felt his lips on yours
you just didn't know how to react
you mentally wanted to push him away but your body isn't cooperating
minhyun soon break the kiss off and look you into the eye
without saying anything, he went straight to the sofa and that's when you know he's really drunk
you took that as a sign to go home
and you know you shouldn't be thinking about what happened just now
especially when minhyun is clearly drunk
but the whole image of him kissing you just keeps on replaying in your mind
honestly, your feelings are all mixed
one moment, minhyun is treating you all cold
and the next moment, minhyun is driving you crazy
even though he is drunk, but somehow a small part of you still hope that this is true
you pray that this is what he truly feels about you
when the next day arrives, you are rather nervous again
you don't know how will minhyun react
and you don't know if he would even remember everything that happened last night
knowing that he is a cold person, you told yourself that he probably would deny everything
with that, you head to office as usual
but the moment you reached the office, minhyun called you in
what if he is going to fire you... just because of last night?
nonetheless, you entered his room"yes, minhyun?"
"this is a new task for you" he said as he passes you another file
soon, the atmosphere became awkward and the both of you just stared at one another
you bowed to him and left
"y/n" minhyun grabbed your wrist and turn you around
"i'm sorry for last night... but i remembered everything i said last night"
"and i really mean it, y/n" he looked at you
"you're just drunk, minhyun" you laughed as you wanted to get out of his grip
but you failed as you realized minhyun is holding you even tighter
"you don't believe me?" minhyun challenged
"yes and why would i-" once again, your words got cut by his lips
"is that enough proof for you, y/n?"
all you could do is to only smile and blush
"never knew you're someone like this"
