honestly, if it wasn't for woojin, your life wouldn't have been so ruined
it all started with that photo where you took with woojin
you thought he is a nice guy to be around with
BUT
your impression of him changed completely
he posted that photo on instagram with the caption "maybe you should check out yourself before smiling"
it's already embarrassing enough to have a small piece of veggie stuck in your teeth
but woojin just had to make a big joke out of it
he even went that extra mile to zoom into your face and posted it
everyone could clearly see your teeth
and from then, no matter how hard you try
that photo seemed to have imprinted in everyone's mind
and since then, you became that girl in school with the nickname of 'veggie girl'
every single day
every single moment
people have been laughing at you
and even ask you questions like "did you check your teeth in the mirror today?"
you endured this whole joke and pretended you're okay with it whenever your classmates laughed at you
thankfully, that joke eventually died down
you thought you get to live your life normally again

but jeez that's not working
apart from woojin, the school's fuck boy decided to jump in the same boat
and started making fun of you
you thought woojin is too much
jihoon, the school's fuck boy got you thinking again
he started flirting with you
and because you sarcastically roasted him, you accidentally angered him
jihoon started turning his jokes into bullying
he would occasionally trip you
push you when you're holding your food tray and make you fall in front of everyone
accidentally swiping all your books and stationery off your table
"park jihoon, stop this" woojin growled
you didn't know why woojin told him that and even wanted to fight with jihoon
"stay out of this, kid" jihoon glared at woojin
that's when you see woojin's fist is so clenched that you have to drag him out of class and let it go
at that moment, you realized this is just too much
it's no longer a joke
but even so, you continued enduring everything, in hopes that jihoon would stop
but jihoon is just like woojin, who has so many tricks
physical education is your next period and you guys have to change
you got your clothes and got ready to head to the toilet
but before you could even leave class, jihoon is at the door waiting for you
he catch you off guard and snatch your clothes
afterwards, he throw your clothes around the class while you're just busy making yourself look like a fool, trying to chase him but the moment you see jihoon letting the clothes out of the window, you couldn't believe him
"are you fucking kidding me park jihoon" you cursed
because it's raining so fucking heavily and there's no way your clothes are going to land in the shelter without being wet
you immediately ran downstairs

true enough, your clothes are soaking wet
"i can let you mine, i'll just tell- oh shut the fuck up" you cut woojin off
this is it, you had enough
you went back to class to pick up your bag and went home instead
you're no longer bothered about class
park jihoon has crossed your limit
you stormed off and went home in the heavy rain
you're just so fucking mad
just then, a hand grabbed your wrist and turned you around
it's none other than woojin
he dragged you into the shelter and because of your temper, you flick his wrist off
"what do you think you're doing?" you questioned woojin
"i should be asking you that question, why are you walking in the rain, you dumb ass"
"you know what woojin, yeah i'm that dumb ass. that dumb ass that everyone loves to bully, isn't that right?" you challenged him
"i'm going to find jihoon and give him a real good lesson" woojin bragged
"and what makes you think you deserve to do that? you make fun of me too, woojin. i'm so fucking done. if you don't understand that, leave me alone"
with that, you stormed off into the rain again without turning back to see woojin's reaction
and the next day when you returned to school, everything seemed to be normal
except for one thing
your desk mate is not here
"woojin would never skip class" you thought to yourself
just before you went to sleep last night, guilt started eating you up
even though woojin did make fun of you, but he started standing up for you when jihoon was bullying you
you kind of regretted sprouting words at woojin that you shouldn't have
to comfort yourself, you convinced yourself that he's just late
he would come back here
but you carried on comforting yourself for days because the seat beside you is still empty
just like your heart, it starting to feel empty

you're going to find woojin tonight and apologize
even if woojin is gonna scold you or make fun of you, you're still going to talk to him
but when you're at woojin's door
you're completely shaking
"what if he doesn't even want to see me?" you started biting your nails, fearing that would happen
instead of knocking on the door, you decided to walk away
because you're not brave enough to face woojin
but the moment you turn your back and got ready to head home, you saw woojin staring at you already
you're half glad and half scared when woojin stares at you
your heart kinda crushed when he walked past you and didn't even bother asking why are you standing there
not wanting to slip this chance, you grab onto his hand out of instinct and not let him go
"i'm sorry, woojin"
"i'm sorry for being angry at you when i shouldn't be... i know i should be thanking you but i was so angry"
"c-could you forgive me and come back?" you whispered
you don't know if woojin is going to flick your hand off just like how you did that day or is he going to say something
you lowered your head and pray that he would reply you
instead, a pair of shoes stopped right in front of yours and when you look up, your eyes meet woojin's
because of the tension, you broke the eye contact but it is woojin who made you look into his eyes again when he kissed your forehead
you got so confused all of a sudden
"silly, i should be the one asking for forgiveness"
"the reason why i didn't come class because i was so guilty, guilty of making fun of you. i just don't have the guts to see you again"
"when jihoon was bullying you and started taking your attention away from me, i became jealous."
"that's when i realized i.. like you." woojin admitted
you responded by holding his hands into yours
when woojin started standing up for you, that's when you also realized you like him too
"i guess i'll take that as a yes that you like me too?" he chuckled
"why do you have to ask when it's obvious?" you jokingly punched him in the stomach
"from now on, i promise i'll treat you right and not let anyone bully the one i love the most"
