· even though you were fairly young, you had been raised around members of the 101, and so you had both the knowledge and the skills

· one night, you were just walking to the convenience store to pick up some food when you heard a girl scream

· and obv you were concerned, so you ran in the direction of the scream, only to find a girl maybe a few years younger than you crouched on the floor, three guys standing menacingly a few feet away

· pulling out your gun, you quickly intervened, and the three guys ran off, not wanting to get involved in a scuffle

· you quickly hurrried over to the girl to make sure she was okay, and helped her to her feet

· she explained that she lived just a few blocks away, so you walked her to her apartment

· her older brother was home, and when he opened the door, you felt your heart eXIT YOUR BODY???

· bc wow he was super cute and hot and wow at the same time

· the girl you'd helped thanked you and hurried inside, leaving you to explain the situation to the brother

· after explaining, the brother thanked you as well, and quickly introduced himself as zhu zhengting

· and just before he was about to close the door, he paused

· you frowned, looking closely at him, and shaking your head

· the incident quickly left your mind as life moved on, and you were tasked with bigger missions

· and that meant that you were getting a lot busier too, with your own jobs getting harder

· as a recon agent, your job was to scout out locations for potential operations or transactions to ensure that they were neutral and safe

· but recently, there had been more and more set-ups where you'd actually had to draw weapons and call for backup

· one night, you were coming back to the 101 hq after a job when you got a text from daniel asking you to come to his office

· "ah, (y/n)," daniel looked up from his desk with a small smile, "please, take a seat."

· there were two seats in front of daniel's desk, one already taken, so you hurried to take the empty one

· as you did, you heard the quietest gasp from next to you, so you quickly turned your head

· and sitting next to you was zhu zhengting

· "i see you two have met before," daniel smiled, "now, i have a sort of proposition for you. zhengting works in surveillance; he's second in command there, and certainly has extensive experience. recently SVT has been encroaching on our areas, and it's been impacting the efficiency of the surveillance team. that's where you come in, (y/n)."

· you raised an eyebrow, seeing where this was going

· "you're an expert in stealth and undercover. i'm asking the two of you to partner up– you'll both be doing surveillance on the ground."
