Cuddle Bug (Bucky x reader)

Stood up

You were knee deep in data findings with Aurora on your desk purring loudly, and you had your music playing really loud to the song "To a T" by Ryan Herd when you heard a soft knock on your office door. You had spent most of your morning thinking about how you were sparring with Bucky yesterday and how good it was to stand so close to him. You loved the way his face lit up while he was telling you what a good job you were doing. You loved the way his body moved, and the way he held himself so confidently. Every date you went on, you secretly compared the men to Bucky and the way he was with what little you had gotten to know him. Your crush on him had been since you moved into the compound, and to try to get over your crush you had really tried dating to find someone that would at least compare or you would get a good vibe off of them.
Bucky you had known to go on a few dates, but according to Sam they never panned out. Bucky was looking for a more old fashioned kind of girl according to Sam. Something you wished you were. You loved how gentle he was with you, but the way he kept giving you praises made the heat pool between your legs. Something you had to take care of in the shower after.
You looked up to see who the intruder was during your work time and gasped in surprise. It was Bucky. You didn't even know he knew where your office was. You waved him in and suddenly felt awkwardly aware you hadn't done much with your hair and had no makeup on.
"Bucky! Hi. This is a surprise" you blushed a deep red.
"Mind if I come in?" he asked nervously and you could see he was taking in the room but his eyes kept coming back and settling on you.
"Sure, I'd love that. I mean it would be nice. Better than standing in the hallway" you started berating yourself internally for being so awkward around him.
"I brought you a treat. You can eat it if you want to, it's just something small" he pulled out a container from behind his back and offered it to you. It was a chocolate crepe and you bit your lip blushing.
"Thank you Bucky, it's one of my favorites" you blushed, speaking softly. He gave a proud smile and took a seat looking around again.
"I'm glad you like it. It's not that far away, I would have gone further if I needed to but Sam suggested the food truck down the street" he rambled again.
"No, it's perfect. I love chocolate and their strawberry ones. What's the occasion?" you gazed into his eyes and he got a goofy smile on his face and suddenly remembered himself and moved slightly in the chair.
"Oh, to thank you. For letting Stevie and I come with you on your walk tomorrow. And also for doing so great in the gym" he grinned.
"Sam brought me my favorite coffee and a strawberry crepe" you quickly admitted. "Not that I wouldn't have said yes otherwise, but he sure knows how to butter me up" you giggled.
"What's your favorite coffee? I can go grab you one" he offered quickly.
"I'm good. I was going to take a break soon anyways" you blushed under his gaze.
"Are you going to get a coffee?" he asked quickly.
"I need one. I found more bases for you guys to hit and need to do a report on them" you nodded.
"I'll come with you, if you want. I can be good company" Bucky offered.
"Sure, I'd love that" you beamed at him.
"It's a date. A friend date. Two friends hanging out" he blushed and moved in this chair.
"Just give me a moment to finish this up" you smiled at him and went back to your computer. Aurora jumped off the desk and went to Bucky for some attention. He quickly picked her up and started petting her. You could barely take your eyes off of the two of them.
You quickly finished what you were working on, trying hard not to be distracted by the delicious handsome man sitting in your office. You silently wished you were the cat, just casually laying across his lap for the whole world to see.
"There, all done" you announced and saw Bucky gave you another big smile. "Now I just need to work on the report and I can enjoy my weekend" you sighed happily.
"Did you want to work on more self defense moves once you've finished for the day? It can be just you and me, unless you're uncomfortable with that" Bucky offered softly as he stood up at the same time as you. He carefully placed Aurora on your desk.
"I would, but I have to get ready for my date" you reminded him, silently wishing it was him you had the date with instead. The only real reason you accepted the date was because the man looked similar to Bucky, and he did seem charming.
"Right, sorry. I forgot" Bucky's face darkened. "Where are you headed?" he asked quickly.
"Mace" you gave a shy smile. "He made it sound charming" you answered softly and led the way to the door after grabbing your purse and keys. "Do you mind if we take my car?"
"Sure, although I'd love to take you out on my motorcycle one day. You know, if you're up for it. It's not that scary, and it's a lot of fun" he smiled at you. "It's almost like you're getting cuddles while driving" he added with a flush on his cheeks.
"Well, I do love cuddles" you blushed looking at him.
"That's what Sam and Nat say" Bucky blushed looking at you. "I have to take them on their word"
"Trust me, it's awful. I'm very high maintenance" you giggled again, and led the way to the front doors where Bucky ran ahead of you and opened the door for you with a proud look on his face. You flushed slightly at the old fashioned custom. "Thank you, that's so sweet" you cooed to him and led the way to your car. As soon as you unlocked it, he ran over and opened the drivers door for you again, and you blushed again. "Thank you" you smiled and slid in. He waited until you were all the way in and closed the door before running to the passenger side and sliding in himself. He put on his seat belt while you waited, and you pulled out of your parking spot.
