Ready for Monday

Monday morning you woke up and you were feeling nauseous, but you knew the reason why so it put you in a more positive spirit. You were still entangled in Bucky's warm embrace, and he was fast asleep. The two of you were still naked from all the celebrating that you had done once everyone had left for the night. Alpine and Aurora were sleeping in front of you on the pillows that had been left unused. You started thinking about the impending doctor's appointment and the electronics started flashing, so you took long breaths in and out to control your ability the way Wanda and Loki had been teaching you, and it quickly stopped. You reached out a hand and pat each of the cats, while trying to keep your mind blank. Bucky's arms squeezed around you and you giggled. He gave the back of your neck a scratchy kiss and he hummed as he did it.
"Good morning, Doll," he said, his voice raspy.
"Good morning, handsome" you said softly, and you turned in his arms to give him a soft good morning kiss on the lips. He pulled on you while flipping onto his back and you laid across his body causing you to laugh out loud. He chuckled proudly and continued to kiss you, his tongue dancing with your own in a sweet composition of love. "Are you ready to see the doctor?" he asked, pulling back from the kiss.
"Are you ready?" you asked, bantering slightly with him.
"Born ready," he chuckled, running his hands up and down your back. "In fact..." he drifted off and he put his hands on your ass and squeezed. "I think we should celebrate again" he murmured as his lips sought out your own.
"Hold up Sargent, she might want to do an internal. We don't want her finding a fresh mess do we?" you giggled. "Besides, you have a mission this morning!" you added a little bit of sass.
"Fine, I'll start getting ready" he huffed.
"Let me pee first" you rolled off of him and rushed to the bathroom. You sat on the toilet longer than necessary since your head and your stomach were not happy with the sudden movement. You could hear Bucky getting his gear ready out in the bedroom and you cleaned up a little before coming back out again. He gave you a soft kiss on his way by and hummed happily at the minty freshness from you brushing your teeth.
You made your way to the closet and picked out a pair of black leggings, your Falcon t-shirt, and a white hoodie with spa socks. You went to the kitchenette and made a cup of tea, fed the kitties, and then sat down to sip at your tea while Bucky continued getting ready for the day. Your head and stomach weren't getting any better so you laid down across the couch, thinking even though you felt sick, it was certainly worth it.

By the time Bucky came out you were sleeping again, and he chuckled to himself as he came over and kissed you softly on the forehead to wake you up. You were too nauseous to move and you just closed your eyes again. He chuckled and bent down to pick you up. It was a little uncomfortable since he was wearing all of his mission gear with the exception of a few guns. You just wrapped your arms around his neck and he kissed your forehead again as he carried you downstairs. Thankfully no one was in the hallways so you were able to make it to the medical lab without any consequences.
"Oh no, is she sick again?" Doctor Cho exclaimed as Bucky came in and you huffed against his chest.
"Something like that" Bucky said, looking around the room to make sure the three of you were alone. Doctor Cho saw that Bucky was looking and she went over to the door and swiftly closed it and closed the blinds as well. "We might be pregnant. Might as in we took three tests and they all came back positive" he whispered to her.
"Oh!" Doctor Cho seemed surprised. "Oh well that definitely needs looking into. We should do the tests first. Were you trying to conceive?" she asked.
"We recently decided to try, but we weren't actively trying" you mumbled.
"Alright, well... you'll need to go pee in a cup" she grabbed a sterilized jar from the shelf behind her and handed it to you.
"I need down" you whispered to Bucky. He gave your forehead another kiss and set you down on your feet again. You took the cup and shuffled your way to the bathroom to do your business. You could hear murmured conversations on the other side of the door and movement. You finished up and washed up before coming out with the cup wrapped in paper towels. Doctor Cho chuckled, but took the cup and set it down on the counter.
"Get up on the bed" she instructed and you did as she asked. Bucky pulled a chair up beside the bed and reached out his right hand to hold yours. He gave your hand a sweet kiss while Doctor Cho did her test with her own pregnancy test. She hummed to herself and came back after ten minutes, while you rested, and flipped the switch on the ultrasound machine beside the bed. "Well, you are definitely pregnant," she advised you. "Congratulations" she added with a smile. You couldn't help but smile back, and you spied Bucky was positively beaming. He kissed your hand again, and held it even tighter. "I'm just going to pull these down, and this up" she told you as she pulled down on your leggings and pulled up on your top. She squirted a cool gel on your stomach and brought a large wand to do the ultrasound on your stomach. You watched the screen curiously and bit your bottom lip worriedly. You saw greys and blacks on the screen as she pushed the wand around. You could see two tiny grey blobs in a black mass and Doctor Cho stilled for a moment. She used the machine to take a picture and you held your breath. "Twins" she looked at you both and Bucky whooped and stood up and kissed you hard on the lips.
"Twins?" you asked after he pulled back.
"Yes, twins," she nodded. "You're about seven weeks along," she advised you.
"But I was taking birth control!" you said in surprise.
"We don't know the full extent of what they did to you at Hydra. It might not work with you anymore" she shook her head.
"Can we have a few pictures?" Bucky asked her and she nodded, printing out three pictures for you. She took one and placed it on the counter and you looked at her curiously. She printed out the other two pictures and handed one to you and one to Bucky. Bucky immediately put his picture in the back of his phone, while you slipped yours into your wallet.
"I'm going to prescribe you a prenatal vitamin with folic acid that I want you to start taking immediately" Doctor Cho told you as she opened your file and put the small picture into it. She took out her prescription pad and started writing it down. "You need to eat healthy and try to stay off the caffeine" she advised. "Try to be active, but get lots of rest too and drink water" she added.
"What else doc?" Bucky asked.
"We should be having an appointment every four weeks, but we are going to switch it to once a week for a little bit. On Monday's of course because we want to monitor these little beans" she smiled.
"But the team is going to realize something is going on" you said a little worriedly.
"Considering that Tony has been messaging me since you walked in here, I don't think it's going to be a secret" Doctor Cho gave a soft smile. "He's going to want to know."
"We will hold off for a bit if we can. I want to tell Stevie, and Y/N will want to tell Sam and Loki before anyone else finds out" Bucky said thoughtfully.
"Well, I'll try to avoid putting it on my computer for now. Friday monitors it closely" Doctor Cho assured you. "But you really should start on the vitamins as soon as possible," she added.
"I'll go pick it up" Bucky took the prescription.
"You have a mission," you reminded him.
"It can wait," he groaned.
"It certainly can not!" you argued.
"Baby..." Bucky started with a pained expression on his face.
"Don't you baby me, sir. I will go with Loki to pick up what I need" you said and realized that would be letting the cat out of the bag early.
"Didn't think that through did you?" he chuckled. "I'll run out as soon as I'm done eating" he offered.
"How about I'll just order it in" Doctor Cho saw this was a no win situation for either of you.
"Thank you" you breathed a sigh of relief.
"I'll just use the company card to pick some up and order some in going forward. I'll leave now and beat the morning traffic" she said.
"Thank you doc" Bucky smiled at her. She nodded and cleaned off the gel from your stomach and you pulled up your pants and pulled down your shirt. Bucky went to pick you up again, and you just wrapped your arms around his neck again. He picked you up and Doctor Cho opened the door for you both and he slipped out. The electricity started flickering as he walked down the hallway and got close to the lab where you could see Tony inside with Bruce getting everything started for the day before breakfast. "We are going to be okay, doll" he assured you.
"We made twins" you murmured softly.
"Best day ever, next to the day you agreed to marry me" he kissed your forehead lovingly.
"There you two are! I've been looking all over for you" Sam saw you and Bucky coming. "Oh Cuddlebug, you ain't sick are you?" he demanded.
"No, I'm just tired," you lied.
"You're lying" Sam called you out. "Come on, I made you our morning coffee" Sam gestured for Bucky to follow him.
"We are switching to decaf" Bucky told him in a no nonsense tone.
"What? That's weird. You both love your coffee" he huffed. You got to the kitchen and Bucky sat you down in one of the stools, while Sam went to make a couple of instant decaf coffees for the two of you. "You're gonna be tired" Sam warned Bucky.
"Yeah, I can handle it" Bucky chuckled and patted his phone in his pocket. "It's worth it for the health benefits," he added mysteriously. Sam looked at him like he had three heads, and rolled his eyes in response. You couldn't help but giggle and got more comfortable in your spot as you watched Sam move around the kitchen quickly.
"Are you at least ready for the mission?" Sam asked him.
"Always" Bucky nodded.
"And I'm ready for Monday" you gave a brilliant smile.
