The rest of the week was basically the same. You would wake up in Bucky's embrace, sometimes he was dressed from his run, sometimes it was obvious he had foregone his run with Steve. But he was always there in time for you to wake up, and had you wrapped up in his arms. You would go to either training, which was rigorous and exhausting, or you would go to your appointment with Doctor Sloan. Doctor Sloan told you that the following week he would only see you on Wednesday, but you were free to get back to your full shifts again, as long as you promised to make time at least once a week to also focus on your powers. You readily agreed, thinking about all of the data you had to go over and the mission dockets you had to create. The team had been off the radar long enough, and you were worried Hydra might start feeling brave again. Shield had been doing missions, but hadn't hit any of the new bases you had found according to your data. They had found a few new ones, but most of them had been curiously nearly empty and nearly devoid of staff. You did finish Fury's pet project, which only took half a day. It was just decoding some coded messages that Hydra had sent out. You kept a copy of it on your hard drive before sending it back to him. He seemed pleased you were getting so readily back into the game again.
Sam, Loki, Steve and Bucky had made it a tradition that you would spend the evenings with them, be it in Steve's room, your room, or Sam's. Loki was always on his phone texting with Jack, while Steve was constantly working on his art. Sam and Bucky were reading alongside you, and most of the time Bucky was reading the same thing you were.
One thing that you could say you were proud of was you were getting better at controlling your ability. It was going to be a long road, but one you could finally see some progress on. It was taking less time for you to stop the electric pulses from surging out, without anyone's help. Loki and Wanda had kicked Bucky out of the room for the week, claiming that you needed to learn. You weren't sure yet if you were grateful for the intervention, but you knew you were happy about the outcome of the situation.
On Friday, you knew there was still a lot of data to go over, but you felt comfortable enough to send the team on a few recon missions to bases you knew hadn't been hit and were relatively small. When you ran it by Tony he seemed surprised, but he reviewed it with Steve and they approved it without much of a fuss. Scott was scheduled to come back to the compound on Monday morning, so you had put him in on a mission with Nat and Clint for Tuesday. Bucky, Steve and Sam had a mission on Monday morning to a dead base. Loki, Thor, Wanda and Vision were slated for Thursday to what you believed to be another dead base. You were more interested in the data than you were anything else.
"Sunshine?" Bruce started you from your thoughts while you were still filing away your findings. You looked up and he looked mildly concerned, but you gave him a wan smile and he visibly relaxed. "Tony sent out the mission dockets" he advised you and you nodded, ticking your focus back to your computer screen. "It's also supper time" he added with a chuckle.
"I'm so close to finishing this file" you huffed slightly and he grabbed his chair and sat down beside you, blocking anyone's view from seeing you in the office if they looked in.
"Are you looking forward to full work day's next week?" he asked in a hushed voice.
"I am, I really think the team was onto finding something big when you were all looking for me" you nodded quickly and pulled up the excel file and showed it to him. "These are all the bases we haven't even heard of before. Most of these are new" you said with an air of excitement. You started adding to the tracker what you had found in the raw data while you spoke to him and he seemed interested in the co-ordinates you were mapping out.
"Some of these seem to be in clusters" he mused softly.
"I know, isn't it fascinating? That means they created larger bases, made of several smaller ones. It makes me wonder what they are doing with them" you licked your lips as you continued to go through it all. "We would need the full team to go out for the clusters" you added quickly.
"I'm not so sure that's a good idea" Bruce shook his head. "The last time we sent out the whole team didn't work out so good for us"
"Tony activated the Iron Legion" you pointed at one of the suits that was standing guard in the room. "I think I'm good," you added in a soft giggle.
"Let's just try to avoid those for now" Bruce shook his head again.
"Besides, the next time I'm going into the panic room and closing the door until the team gets back" you gave a soft sigh.
"Or one of Tony's various mansions" Bruce seemed deep in thought.
"Only if it comes down to it. I would need an office" you shrugged, thinking about it for a moment.
"Tony has labs in all of his mansions. I've been to a few of them" he shrugged and sat back slightly, looking nervously towards the door as a few people were out in the hallway. "The boys headed to Peter's Aunt May's again, and Clint went home again, same as Scott although he's not coming back until Monday," he seemed to be trying to continue the conversation with you.
"Yeah, they were all talking about it at breakfast" you nodded, keeping your attention on the task at hand.
"I was thinking about taking Nat for a drive tomorrow," he added softly.
"You two don't get out on enough dates. Bucky wanted to do something for our two month anniversary" you gave a shy smile.
"What is the plan?" he asked, seeming invested.
"Well, I finally heard back from the contractor, and they confirmed that the renovations are done. They are just working on the cosmetics right now" you broke out into a smile. "I was going to tell Bucky at supper, since its taken almost all week to get ahold of them"
"When did you find out?" Bruce asked in surprise.
"Just after lunch" you finished what you were doing finally. You saved your work and started the process of shutting everything down. You heard noise out in the hallway and Bruce looked over curiously, however maintained his spot beside you, hiding you from view. "Anyways, Bucky wanted to either go up to the cabin, or take the ATV up to this great spot in the woods that he found and have a date" you finally finished your train of thought from before.
"You should get out of here. You've worked hard this week, Sunshine," Bruce gave a small smile and ruffled your hair. You huffed slightly and tried to fix it, but he smoothed it out for you. You gave a slight giggle and he gave you a pat on the shoulder once he was done. "Come on, let's put Bucky out of his misery. He's been at the door three times already" he chuckled.
"I still have to have the talk with him that I'm going back to full day's too" you sighed softly.
"He should be fine with it" he gave a small smile again. "I think he learned from the last fight" he chuckled.
"I think we both did" you blinked a few times, not wanting to ever go back to fighting like that again. Bruce waited for your station to completely power down and stood up, offering his arm to you. You quickly followed his lead and threaded your arm through his with a smile on your face.
