Cuddle Bug (Bucky x reader)

A new wardrobe and panic attacks

"Look at you" Nat cooed as you and Loki arrived in the dining room. You put Aurora down by the cat food then slumped in a chair tiredly.
"Sit up darling, that's unbecoming" Loki sat beside you instead of Thor.
"I'm tired" you whined and sat up straight.
"We are doing this for your own good" Loki reminded you. "Wanda, Natasha, Pepper... I am taking our kitten for a new wardrobe. Would you care to join us?" Loki continued.
"I'm in. I've been dying to see her in a new wardrobe" Nat shrugged.
"She's letting you?" Tony asked, a little surprised.
"As long as I go as her bodyguard I am allowed to leave the compound, correct?" Loki asked for confirmation.
"As a bodyguard" Tony nodded.
"Yes, she's letting me" Loki grinned.
"I can clear my schedule" Pepper smiled.
"This is so exciting, I'm in" Wanda clapped happily.
"Loki, why do I feel like you are dressing me up like a doll for your own amusement?" you looked at him seriously.
"It's slightly amusing, but no. You need this" Loki shrugged easily.
"We were just at the mall last night" you sighed, sitting back in your chair.
"You already made sure your anxiety pills were in your purse as well as your cell phone and headphones. You'll be fine. You're also surrounded by friends" Loki pointed out quickly.
"Family" Nat corrected him.
"This is a lot of changes. First I can't work this weekend, when I work every weekend. I normally go out with the girls once a month, not twice in a week. I'm used to being on my own, not needing a babysitter" you felt your anxiety hitting you.
"Bodyguard, and I'm sure it's not forever" Loki gave a small smile and took your hand. "Did you need a cuddle?" he asked, half expectantly.
"A little bit" you bit your bottom lip. He picked you up with ease out of your chair and held you closely. You nuzzled into his neck, smelling a more exotic spice and he rocked you slightly while you rode out your mini anxiety attack.
"You can put her on my lap" Nat offered.
"As her bodyguard, this is my job" Loki spoke softly.
"I don't want to be passed around like a toy" you grumbled.
"Good, that wasn't what was going to happen anyways. Loki has his mind set for today" Wanda smoothed things over quickly.
"So this is what calms you down. It's no wonder they have deemed you the cuddle bug" Loki mused. "It is soothing" he admitted after a moments hesitation.
"What surprises me is you are carrying me like I'm not heavy at all" you pulled back slightly.
"Magic, darling" Loki winked at you. "Now calm down. Today is going to be fun, and you'll have time for a nap before we get you ready for your date"
"We?" you looked at him curiously, untucking your head from his shoulder again.
"I'm helping you get ready, I'm confident in James' ability to take care of you on your date not to join you" Loki gave a soft smile. "I will however be joining again tomorrow morning for the farmers market since the gentlemen may get distracted"
"I'm not against it, as long as you are keeping an eye out for anyone following her" Tony gnawed at his lip a little bit. Loki was getting out more in the last few days, than he had for over a year. He knew Loki was enjoying this, and couldn't blame him. He had been hard on him, and was making him make amends.

"You okay cuddle bug?" Sam came into the room with Steve and Bucky not far behind him.
"Small panic attack, she's just fine" Loki continued to rock you slightly as he held you. "A lot of changes for our Kitten"
"Let me see her" Sam held out his arms.
"I've got her" Loki shrugged him off. "She's just about back to the right mindset" Loki gave a small smile. He went back to your seat and sat you back down. "Better?" he asked expectantly.
"Yes" you blushed a deep red. Loki sat down next to you again, and Bucky took the seat next to him looking at you worriedly.
"What time is the date?" Nat asked once Bucky looked like he was settled, and he blushed a little bit.
"I was hoping to go to a few places, so I thought around three" he looked to you hopefully.
"We will have her home in plenty of time, worry not" Loki smirked. "I know what your plans are, and she will love them. I won't spoil it"
They started passing the food down, and you took as much as you dared with your stomach in knots already. You passed it to Loki who put an extra scoop of eggs on your plate before he started to fill his plate. He gave a mischievous smile and you blushed a bit.
"What are everyone's plans for today?" you asked, trying to make conversation.
"Dressing you up" Nat grinned. "Something besides old jeans and worn out t-shirts"
"I'm not that bad" you blushed.
"Not when you put effort in" Sam shrugged. "You do look cute in those dresses" he added with a wink.
"I think she looks cute in anything" Bucky whispered.
"You always have" Wanda shrugged and realized what she said out loud and looked up to see Bucky's face had gone red. You looked at Bucky curiously and he was still blushing. You gave a small smile while eating slowly, wondering if his crush on you was as long as your crush on him. You still remembered the first moment you had met him, and he took too long to take your hand. You had a hard time looking into his eyes that day, but it was only because he was so handsome. Once you finally did though, you didn't regret it. He had given that shy goofy smile and you were hooked. Between those steel blue eyes, and the perfect teeth. He had five o'clock shadow at the time, outlining his features more. He towered over you and had moved in a little closer than socially required to shake your hand as he gazed down into your eyes and you remember smiling up at him. You remembered that simple hi, that escaped his lips finally, and you had shivered at the sound of his voice. You remembered even the moments up to that, where Tony was showing you around and Bucky had just been reading and not paying attention until he realized Tony wanted to introduce you. He had looked at your face with that smile of his and his eyes very briefly raked over your body before he stood up. You remembered so much about that day. Especially on the fact that you had decided he was out of your league once he gave his flirty smile standing so close to you.
You continued eating, trying hard to taste your food thinking about what a big day you head ahead of you. You finished and went to put your dishes in the sink and came back to sit beside Loki.
Loki finished and sat back with his back straight and you tried to mimic him but it was hurting your shoulders. You saw the girls all finished and Sam looked to you worriedly.
"She's going to be protected, she's with us" Wanda gave him a smile.
"She doesn't do well in crowds" Sam reminded her.
"We know, it's not the first time we've taken her out Sam" Nat was quick to respond and she gave Bruce a kiss on the cheek. "We are armed with everything we need" She gave a soft smile.
"Call me if you need me. I'm headed for my hike" Sam spoke softly to you. You gave a gentle nod and grabbed your purse standing up just wanting to get this over with.
