Sabrina waits by the lobby doors. She's more relaxed in her shoulders as she leans against the marble walls. Her calm brown eyes meet yours when you step outside, ring hand stuffed in your pocket. You didn't want to take any chances with the leering paps that liked to lurk here. She tips her head to you as she opens your door. "I hope you had a good night." She says with a warm smile.

You smile embarrassed back. "Of course. How about you?" You ask. She looks across the way before crossing in front of the upgraded car and getting in the front seat. "It was nice. Relaxing. My partner made dinner and we watched a movie in bed. We haven't had quiet moments in a while since they're always working at the University." She explains as she starts the car with a soft rumble.

"I didn't know they were a professor," You reply, tilting your head back.

"They're not tenured yet. They're up for it this year. We're hoping for good news. Our daughter goes there now so there's more of an urgency." She says, playing with the ends of her hair. You want to ask more, always interested in what happens outside of your bubble, outside of Bruce Wayne. "I hope they get it."

She flashes a grateful smile. "Enough about me. How are you? Does it feel any different now that you are officially Bruce Wayne's fiancé?"

You shrug, looking up at the tall buildings as she navigates the late morning traffic. "I am excited and happy that we're doing this. I do feel anxious though. I'm worried he won't like me the more we get to know each other."

Or vice versa.

Sabrina chuckles. "It happens, but you have to be open to letting the other person grow independently of you and then also accepting them or compromising depending on the changes. And leaving is also a choice." She muses, her eyebrow raising slightly. "Are you having doubts?" You bite your lip as you feel her gaze on your face. You couldn't tell her if Bruce didn't tell her.

"Just worried about the future is all. Bruce has a lot of plans..." It's the closest to the truth you can say while staying vague.

She sighs, "He is a forward-thinking man. I think that's why the Enterprises doesn't like him much now that he's weighing in." You nod, "Something like that."

She chuckles. "I hope you don't think I'm prying. I watch the news and read the news. Everyone is talking about his next moves with the Enterprises since shares are low you know. I was surprised yesterday when he allowed you guys to spend so much."

You grimace. "He wanted my family to have a good time. I appreciate him for that..." You didn't know about the low shares. Economics bores you and your mind blanks whenever you think about finances.

"Well, just be aware. I have to be in case people get antsy with you again." Her voice and brows lower. "How are your injuries? Do you have a therapist or something?"

You laugh to yourself and pat her back. "I'm healing fine. Bruce is making sure of that. And I have a card for a therapist, but I haven't had time to call. Bruce keeps me very busy," You explain to her judging expression.

"Ma'am, you've been through a lot. How do you keep going?"

You stare at her before blinking rapidly. You don't know. "I just don't think about it. Besides, I know when things are settled, I'll get a therapist and unpack everything." You reassure her as you settle back in your seat. You're still getting used to having her as your driver.
