"okay, i made her favorites. we have pasta and i made her favorite pizza. i also made some cookies and brownies" i tell isabel
"pizza?" she questions
"we made this pizza all the time when we were younger. her dad hated how much we made it but it was her favorite" i say reminiscing
"aw and you made it from scratch. so cute" minnie says squeezing my cheeks
"yeah yeah. how long until she's back?" i ask isabel
"she's still with her dad but she should be back in a few minutes" she tells me
i start washing up the last few dishes and wiping down the counters. we went to the grocery store and picked up everything we needed as well as flowers and we cleaned her apartment.
"hold on" aspen says answering her phone
we all look at her as she talks on the phone. her smile drops and she starts to look more upset as the call goes on.
"what do you mean? well yes we are on the way" she hangs up
she grabs her bag and her keys in a hurry before trying to leave without a word.
"wait, wait a second. what's going on?" chris asks stopping her
"we have to go! dylan's in the hospital. her and her dad got in a wreck" she says with tears running down her face
my heart stops at her words. i drop the plate in my hand before grabbing my own keys and heading out the door before anyone can stop me or catch up.
