That evening Y/N found herself sat inside the shack like Church with Sihtric awkwardly, while they waited for Finan. Sihtric had tried to convince her that him and Finan had a solution but she did not believe them. Y/N refused to be a whore, but Sihtric had repeatedly told her that wasn't the case.
"What took you so long." Sihtric grumbled at Finan who held his arms up in defence.
"Odda could not climb up the stairs to his bed." Finan amused lightly before smiling gently at Y/N.
"You haven't told her?" Finan questioned but Sihtric said he wanted to wait.
"Alright." Finan said awkwardly, watching the woman who was sat on the bench. "Me and Sihtric agreed when we were at Datchet that we weren't going to make yu chose. So we said we'd both marry yu."
"What?" Y/N said, completely confused by what Finan had said.
"You can't tell her like that." Sihtric said before looking back at her.
"Finan and I are brothers. Bonded. And we both feel a need to care for you. To love you." Sihtric said slowly, hoping she wouldn't hit one of them or run, but she stared at them as if they where both fools. "We both cannot see a life without you." Finan nodded with a grin, but his hands twitched nervously.
"Marry us both in the eyes of both our God's and no one will question it. Trust us to love you Y/N." Y/N looked at the cross on the wall before back at them.
"It is sinful." She stammered looking between them.
"Good thing we're sinners then." Finan stated earning a chuckle from Sihtric. Y/N studied them both, looking for any signs of lying between them, but all that she could find was nervous faces, waiting for an answer.
"How is it going to work?" Finan looked up with a smile, there was a chance she was going to agree.
"The same way a man loves a woman and a woman loves a man but twice." Sihtric pushed him lightly, the two men already had it planned out.
"We will live together and love you as one another would." Sihtric was hopeful but knew there was a chance she would disagree, since it was beyond normal.
"I know it does not happen often but sometimes Danes marry more than one women." Sihtric tried to reassure in which Finan followed up with, "and why can't a women."

Y/N didn't know whether to laugh or cry, they where sincere, but she knew know one would accept it, let alone marry them together.
"What will people think?" Finan grinned, explaining he had already asked for his blessing.
"Uhtred will marry you and Sihtric in the eyes of the Norse God's and Beocca to me in the name of the Holy God." Finan tried to lighten the mood by making a cross with his hands.
"Let them think, but we know the truth." Sihtric stated before sitting beside her and grabbing her hands gently.
"Do not worry. You have us if you wish." Y/N looked at Finan who spoke up, "even sister Hild agreed if we promised to look after you."
"She did not agree." Y/N stated, which was true Hild had said it was against God but if it made her happy and God pardoned her, she would as well.

"Come to Winchester with us and let us prove to you it will work. If you say no then we will let you go." Sihtric offered looking back at Finan who agreed.
"I'm sure we can convince yu we will be great husbands." Y/N looked at them, waiting for God to give her sign that it was a bad idea but there wasn't, nothing came to her.
"Alright." It was a simple answer but she accepted her fate. Sihtric grinned before planting a kiss on her cheek, while Finan grinned, pulling her up so he could place a kiss on her lips, while Sihtrics hand stayed on hers, gently rubbing them. The awkward sensation went away and was replaced by a content feeling.

The following morning Y/N felt different. As if yesterday was a dream and God had tormented her with this idea that they would be together. She almost felt nervous seeing them again, not in a bad way, she was more worried about how people would view the strange trio. She hoped in time she would not care, but she did not wish to beg God for anymore than she deemed necessary. If God granted her the wish of two men, then God exhorted himself for her and she must do her duty to repay God's kindness. Even if that meant spending more time doing good deeds or praying more.
"I hear you finally spoke to them." Gisela always came to find Y/N in the mornings, the two often cooked and took strolls together. The women were not close in age but they got on really well, whether it was because she was a Dane, that she felt Gisela was easier to talk to.
"What have they said?" The woman smiled gently before looking at the empty sacks.
"Finan came over with a smile written on his face. It is the happiest I have seen him." Y/N felt happy at the news.
"I'm glad you are happy, but I am not happy Alfred and his men have eaten us out of food." Gisela said with a huff before finding Uhtred to complain.

Cookham was a small estate, they only had enough for their villagers, maybe they occasional privilege of more stock, but this time they were limited.
"Will yu ride to Winchester with us?" Finan, greeted with a smile on his face, before embracing the woman, placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Given that we have a shortage of food, yes." Finan chuckled, a hearty laugh that made her stomach knot. Some of the Villagers noticed, but others paid no mind to Finan approaching the woman, she knew the rumors would erupt once she departed.
"I would pack yur things, as we will be leaving soon." Finan muttered louder than usual.

Y/N did not have to pack much, only a small change of clothes in a sack and some extra bits that she could attach to a horse, as she did not have her own horse. She tended to borrow whichever horse was available, and this time it was a grey spotted horse that Sihtric gave her.
"I have Uhtreds approval." Hild spoke causing the younger sister to smile.
"I am glad, although we do already have a church." Y/N said with a grin as she tied her sack around the horse.
"You will look after her won't you Sihtric?" Hild asked with an unsure smile, she didn't agree with it but she accepted her sister's wish. Sihtric answered with a nod, checking everything around the horse was tightened correctly before checking his own horse.
"Hild. I will be okay. I have God guiding me." Y/N hugged her sister tightly.
"Sometimes I think a different God answers you." Hild amused looking at Sihtric who replied with, "there is nothing wrong with my Gods. I will keep her safe. So will Finan."
"I will be the judge of that." Hild said before going to her horse.
"You're coming to?" Hild nodded before climbing up on her horse, setting off to the gate, while Sihtric helped Y/N up carefully.

Sihtric rode beside Y/N to Winchester, while Finan rode behind them, next to Hild, trying to convince her that the three of them would work. Finan tried every angle but reverted back to the "Danes do it," when he ran out of ideas.
"I will convince you Hild. I swear it." Hild chuckled behind them, watching the two in front. Watching the way Shitric looked at her tentatively and taking mental notes of what she was saying, while Finan watched in amusement, neither bothered nor jealous, just content.
"When will you marry and bed them Y/N?" Uhtred asked, a question he had been dying to ask all morning.
"Uhtred!" Hild and Y/N shouted. Y/N was more embarrassed at the statement.
"Uhtred leave the poor woman alone." Gisela scolded while Finan laughed behind them.
"In time Lord. I am a patient man." Finan stated.
"Have you got a ring yet?" Uhtred instigated the situation, feeding off the red faced woman.
"Ask Sihtric." Sihtric glared at the man behind him, not knowing how to answer that. It wasn't that they hadn't got her a ring, they just weren't sure they would say yes.
"Aye?! I have it just not with me." Sihtric avoided the woman's gaze feeling slightly flustered. Uhtred chuckled at the newly uncomfortable situation. It would become a new found amusement to him, seeing his two best men in a different light.
