Y/N and Sihtric sat in the Alehouse with Æthelstan quietly. Waiting for Uhtred to come back.
"What are yu doing in an Alehouse?" Finan called with a smile. Y/N got up and wrapped her arms around him tightly.
"They are safe. All of them." Finan assured them as he sat down. "They are with Hild. Ingrith is there with her children." Sihtric breathed out on relief, they had made it safely
"I bet Ingrith was not happy to go to a nunnery." Y/N stated.
"No, but she would rather a Nunnery than face yur wrath." Finan stated, placing his hand on Y/Ns thigh reassuringly.
"Lord!" Sihtric said, making them all turn around to see Uhtred. He looked tired and fed up.
"Yur alive!" Finan got up to give him a hug.
"And Brida?" Æthelstan asked. Uhtred shook his head sadly as he sat back down.
"I was thinking it is time we go back to the peace of Rumcofa. I promised I'd return you to your families. The danger is over now. We can stop running for Wessex, make some coin from the roll on the trade river." Y/N looked up in shock. There was nothing there in Rumcofa anymore.
"Lord, no." Finan said sadly.
"Our families have gone to Wessex with Hild, Lord. They have settled there now." Sihtric stated. Finan agreed, "our lives in Rumcofa are destroyed. Let the dead rest in peace ay?"
"But it can be a home, a real home, for all of our families." Uhtred begged. Even Æthelstan did not want to go back there, he admitted he would rather serve his father now.
"Uhtred, you are my friend for life. We will all ride with you to death you know that, but we cannot. There needs to be something else. Another plan." Y/N said. She did not want to go back now. It was not safe for her children.
"We cannot roam forever. We cannot let our children live without the comfort of a home." Uhtred said. Y/N looked at Finan who sighed. Uhtred was a broken man.
"If you command Rumcofa, we will follow you. But I ask, is there another path?" Finan pleased. Y/N picked up her jug of ale, clicking her neck.
"What are you thinking, Y/N " Uhtred asked.
"Oh no. Not that look. Very bad idea woman. We are better off in Rumcofa." Finan said. Y/N breathed out and said nothing.

Y/Ns idea was to take back Bebbanburg, but she knew it was stupid idea. Bebbanburg had already strengthened over the years.
"What are you thinking." Sihtric whispered as he took the cup from her hand. He knew her thoughts were stirring in her head.
"Bebbanburg?" Y/N stated. Uhtred looked at her, before getting up, in frustration.
"I don't want to say it, but our wife is right."  Sihtric said.
"I know, but it is a very bad idea." Finan grumbled, placing his hands over his eyes, "where is Eir?"
"With Young Uhtred." Sihtric stated. A small smirk on his face. Finan looked up confused, looking between them all.
"I've been gone three days. What is going on." Finan said. Even Æthelstan was confused, but said nothing.
"Oh. Our daughter got married to Young Uhtred." Y/N said with a nod. Sihtric played along with a smile, "he asked for my blessing so I said yes." Finan placed his hand on the table slowly, searching them for lies, before leaning over, "he doesn't even have a cock."
"Finan! At least she will be saintly protected." Sihtric taunted. Y/N looked at Æthelstan who looked slightly uncomfortable and slightly hurt.
"Sihtric. Yur joking. My daughter is not married." Finan glared. Still watching the eyes of Y/N and Sihtric. Finan sat back down with a thud, an angry expression forming on his face. Not saying another word.

The silence eventually broke when Uhtred came running back into the Alehouse, pushing Y/Ns head playfully, before kissing her cheek aggressively, "you woman are a genius." The four of them sat up, a confused look on his face. Uhtred sat down and explained what had happened. Ælfwynn and Ælfweard are being held in Bebbanburg by Æthelhelm. Not only did it benefit Edward it benefited the whole of England as it would prevent the Scots from invading them.
"Alright. We will follow." Finan said with a smile, but a nervous one.
"I will follow you, Uhtred. Wherever my wife and her stupid ideas go." Sihtric said.
"Good, because now we need to convince Edward to give us an army."
