"So how do we convert a Christian woman to a Pagan then?" Finan asked Sihtric. "Like do we have to get her to sacrifice someone to one of yur God's?"
"As long as she believes it in her heart, she is a Pagan. She became one when we got married." Sihtric said as Finans mouth formed an 'o' shape. "Besides, if the God's did not accept our marriage, we would have known by now!" Sihtric said as he looked at his wife, a smile forming on his face, as they walked back to their horses to collect their stuff to hide it in Thyra and Father Beoccas home.
"Is that Æthelwold the sword-Dane I see? Looks like yu've mislaid an eye." Finan mused as he spotted Æthelwold. Y/N stepped back slightly into Sihtric, feeling uncomfortable, and Sihtric noticed that. He wondered what else she hadn't told them. He wondered if Æthelwold had threatened her at some point.
"I see you perfectly, Finan. Though, I do not see your master, Uhtred. Where is he?" Finan shrugged as he looked at his wife and Sihtric, "standing at yur blindside perhaps." Finan shook his head, grabbing the bags with Sihtric as they headed back to Father Beoccas' house.

Finan looked at Y/Ns room, appreciating the hospitality of Thyra and Beocca.
"Yu come here." Finan pointed at her. Her face frowned in confusion as she approached. Allowing him to wrap his arms around her waist.
"What has the bleeding bastard done?" Finan asked. Y/N knew who he was referring to Æthelwold.
"It is a guess. I do not know for certain. Sihtric!" Y/N gasped when he pulled up her arms to find a bruise of a hand print.
"Good Jesus." Finan gasped as he sat on the bed. "That better be the only mark Y/N? What happened?"
"Swear it on Thors Hammer." Sihtric said quickly. "They will know if you lie." Y/N did, promising them it was the only mark. That Æthelwold had a man threaten her because of her marriage.
"Which man?!" Sihtric asked.
"The one in grey. The one with the funny eye!" Y/N looked at Finan with a huff as Sihtric stormed off. She knew he was trying to put things right. Y/N wanted to take his worry and pain away, but she couldn't. He had to realise on his own that she had forgiven him.
"Let us go for a walk. If yu can. If yu need me to carry yu just say the word." Finan said with a smile.

Finan knew Y/N had spent many uncertain days in Winchester. He did not want her to be afraid of Winchester. Even in her condition.
"Do yu know when yur going to give birth?" Finan held her close. His hand flicking at her wedding ring evey so often.
"I do not know. Thyra thinks in a few months? Why? Will you run away?" Y/N said amused, looking at him with a smile.
"Never...What the.. Osferth?" Finan stumbled as Osferth dragged the two off to talk to them, confusing the two.
"So, we are inside the walls of Winchester.  Where will he go? To Father Beocca?" Osferth said quietly as he looked around.
"Yes. He'll find us. Be sure of it." Finan pulled Y/N close to him, placing his hand on his stomach. Osferth pointed to her stomach. A smile spread across his face. "Looks like Y/N can safely return to Cookham then."
"She's dead?" Finan looked at him. Trying to sense a lie. "Very."
"Then we're all free of the curse, baby monk." Finan kissed the top of her head. It was a relief for them all. She would not reach them anymore.
"She was of the devil, Finan?"
"No, Osferth. More than that. She was the devil in disguise." Finan said, a smirk forming on his face. Y/N knew that look as he looked at Osferth.
"Ale and woman." Y/N slapped Finans arms at his words. "He needs to find a woman. Preferably a good woman." She knew what Finan was doing. It was a small sign of jealousy, and it made her laugh.
"And prayer!" Osferth said quickly.
"Absolutely, but in that order!" Y/N scratched her head as she watched a nervous looking Osferth.
"Do not be so crewd Finan." Y/N slapped his arm as Finan leaned over. "He needs help. He's nearly a man and still a virgin." Y/N raised an eyebrow as she shrugged her arms.
"Besides, I would rather him find comfort in a woman than the baby monk thinking about you when he's alone. If yu no what I mean." Y/N grabbed Finans jaw squeezing his face, "you are jealous, Fin."
"And yu are my wife." Finan grabbed her hand, kissing it. "Though I'm sure Sihtric may agree with me."

Y/N turned around to see Sihtric with a bunch of flowers in his hands. His face looked at her with so much hope and happiness that she couldn't help but feel emotional.
"To say I am sorry for leaving you to defend yourself. To defend my honour when I was not there." Y/N held his hands over the flowers. A playfully smirk reached her face.
"And!" Sihtric laughed as he looked at her stomach. "For gifting me-"
"And me." Finan interrupted with a chuckle as he pushed Osferth forward to leave them alone. "A child. For gifting me and Finan a child. And for choosing to be a Pagan. And for not killing me." Y/N pushed him slightly as he started to kiss her neck playfully. Making her cry out in laughter.
"You are forgiven." Y/N grabbed his face, planting a kiss on his lips before taking his hand.
