"Why have yu not been sleeping?" Finan asked as his head lay on her thighs, hugging them tightly. The two had sat quietly, watching Sihtric sharpen his sword. Y/N did not know why she had not been sleeping. Her head was filled with noisy thoughts of what ifs.
"I will be fine when we get rid of Skade." It was a poor excuse, and they knew it, but she did not wish to speak of her problems, nor create new ones. Instead, she stayed where she was, sat on the bed, stroking Finans head.
"Finan. Why don't you take her to go and pray." Sihtric said, watching the two, but Y/N shook her head. "I can pray here."
"I'm sure the Abbess has a room dedicated to praying."
"He's right. It will do yu some good." Finan sat up. Offering her a smile. Y/N sighed, getting up off the bed to put her shoes back on, before giving Sihtric a kiss, as she left.

Finan followed her out, taking her hand as they looked around for the room or a nun to guide them to the room, but eventually, they found it. It was a rather big room. That was lit up with small offerings in front of the cross. Y/N stopped to take in the Holy place, holding her cross at her hand, while Finan stood behind her. Neither moving nor saying anything.
"You are Christian?" Y/N looked to the left to see the Abbess and the Lady Æthelflaed.
"Yes. And my sister is an Abbess." Y/N stated. Watching the Abbess cross her hands with a huff.
"And you are married to a Dane?" The Abbess asked, watching Y/N sit down on the right besides Finan, whose corners of his mouth were twitching in humour.
"A Dane and a Saxon." Y/N closed her hands together, about to close her eyes when the woman spoke up.
"Then you should not be in here. It is wrong and. And." The Abbess stuttered.
"And what?" Y/N asked. "I have been a Christian all my life. I have lived as a Nun. Though I'm no perfect Christian, but I am sure you are not either." The Abbess huffed in response, casing Finan to snicker quietly.
"Yur not suppose to piss her off." Y/N clicked her tongue and Finan before closing her eyes. Silently praying to God. Showing her gratitude for his guidance and thanking him for allowing her marriage to happen.

Y/N opened her eyes, feeling Finans eyes on her. They were gentle, but they were concerned.
"What?" Finan shook his head, cupping her cheek. Y/N tugged at his forearm, asking him again.
"Are yu still in pain? Is it still their? I know yu don't want to speak of it. I know it pains yu, but that was my child too. And Sihtric's." Y/N sighed, closing her eyes, not knowing what to say.
"I know Sihtric is worried." Finan stopped her. Silencing her. "Y/N, we're both worried. Yu nearly died, and Sihtric believes the curse hasn't fully lifed." Finan grabbed her hands hastily as he watched her. "Listen to me. Sihtric has seen things, and he knows things." Y/N stood up slightly insulted by the accusations. She could feel the curse had been removed.
"I know what I feel, Finan. I know it's gone. I can feel it."
"I know. I know." Finan grabbed her waist, stopped her from running off. He placed his head on her stomach, like a child. "I believe yu. I do, but Sihtric isn't convinced." Y/N looked down at him, her eyes watered as she hugged his head. Her heart felt betrayed that Sihtric didn't believe her.
"Why didn't he tell me? Why did he did he lie? That he believed in me?" Finan looked up at her, almost regretting that he told her. "He didn't want to destroy yur hope." Finan poked at her stomach, trying to divert the topic.
"Sometimes. It still aches." Finan kissed her stomach again. "The next town we visit. I'll go to an alchemist."
"Finan." Y/N grumbled.
"No. Do not Finan me. I am not watching yu suffer. Yu tell me when it gets too much alright." Y/N agreed with a kiss, squeezing his face close to her.
